I would feel better about coming here if they used glass bottles for the to go bottles. Or let you bring your own container and then put the beverage in there like a coffee tumbler. it's a waste using plastic bottles. I wouldn't mind paying more for glass then people could drop back off their used glass bottles for reuse and maybe a small discount. Taste is good. A little too sweet for me but still delicious. read more

I've grown quite accustomed to our Big Island coffee.. in addition to living a year in Italy, home of the best espresso/coffee in the world... I've been accused of being a coffee snob on more than one occasion. When the coffee is good, I drink it black. And I LOVVVVE me some Pumpkin Spice!!! We used to live next to a pumpkin patch. I generally devour all things pumpkin this time of year! This is, by far, DA BEST pumpkin spice latte I've ever had in my life!!! I opened it before I ever got to the car and seriously considered turning right back around and getting another, even at $9+ a piece. I would gladly pay a couple dollas more for this instead of the crap you get at other places. I could see it being a little too sweet for some.. but if you like a "classic PSL" - you will love it! The pumpkin flavor is spot on and didn't get lost... Sometimes oat milk can mess with the flavor - but not in this case! So even my lactose-disagreeing bowel system is happy! My caffeine fiend side of me only wishes that you could customize the amount of coffee/cold brew - but these are pre-made.. maybe you could..? but I left before I could find out. I would have stayed, read my book, and likely had another, but the parking out front is metered... and only option is using change, with max of an hour. No biggie, the ocean was calling me anyways! Will definitely visit again next time we are on Oahu! read more

Neko Koneko - Pumpkin Spice Latte (cold brew) - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I've been going to their pop up shops in Mililani so when I heard they were opening an actual store front I had to go! It's located in Liliha and there is street parking right in front. I was lucky to snag one of the spots. The cafe is such a cute space. Eclectically decorated with their Asian flare. Very clean and new. There are 2 cute sitting spaces within the space. The service is amazing. It is locally owned and operated. After ordering you are given a cute cat card number. I of course ordered my favorite drink, pumpkin spice cold brew. They were out of the honey cinnamon which is my ultimate fav. I got the last caramel mac, which was great tasting. I decided to try the matcha cold brew this time around which was ok. I matcha was a little bitter than I'm used to but overall I will be going back for my weekly re-up. read more

When visiting the island for 4 days, these drinks were my favorite things I ate or drank on my whole trip. Everything is soooo good. They let us sample different drinks (we tried 5, all were good). We ended up getting the ube cold brew (one of the best coffees I've ever had) and the pumpkin matcha (tasted like horchata). Both were delicious!! I'm from Los Angeles and have tried maybe a thousand coffee shops at this point. And honestly, this was better than most of my favorites from home. I wish it was in LA!! Not to mention the people were so friendly. Will be making multiple trips here when I'm back! read more

tldr; - cute vibey Japanese-esque coffee shop - not a lot of seating (granted they were busy for their 1st anniversary) - easy to find street parking Visited this cute little cafe for their 1st anniversary and loved it! There is plenty of street parking (see photo from their instagram outlining where the parking is) and it is easy to find to find on the main street. As soon as I walked in the door, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, addressing any questions I had. I ended up buying the matcha and hojicha drinks to go and ordered an iced BlackPink drink. The combination of strawberry flavor and espresso was well-balanced and delicious. I think I'll try the Cold Brew with oat milk next time along with an Ube Latte. The inviting vibes makes it an ideal spot to work remotely. It's a good thing I don't live too close or else I would need to redo my budget to account for more matcha lattes! read more

I just had to leave 5 stars for this business because this is the BEST matcha I've ever had...definitely buying more and can't wait to try other drinks. read more

This is one of my favorite drink shops in Oahu! I personally love the matcha and always order more than one bottle. Not only is the bottled Matcha convenient, It's also good. The baristas and cashiers are always very friendly and helpful and the vibe at the store is just very chill and cute. Sometimes they do collabs with people and I've gone one time where there was a guy who makes banana bread / other pastries and got a chance to buy some ! I will say it's a little hard to find parking sometimes so I just would be a little bit cautious about that but overall this is one of the best coffee and tea shops in Oahu and I definitely would give it a try! read more

Ube latte was incredible (and they gave me an ice cup along with my to-go bottle) and the place is SO SO CUTE! I love the cat themed decorations and I wanted to take photos everywhere. There's only two tables for seating, but they both have a lot of seats with outlets. The music is loud so I wouldn't study here, but I would highly recommend for the drinks! read more

Neko Koneko - Ube latte - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Coffee shop find in Honolulu while on baecation. Neko Koneko had so many different flavors. It was such a cute shop with cool to go bottles. Highly recommend. The honey cinnamon and toasted coconut were my fav. Very cute and cozy however it is small so be prepared to take it to go because they are popular and it got packed fast. We will def comeback next time we visit. read more

I finally came try them and it was alright for me. Black sesame latte - too sweet for my liking and the caffeine is so strong that I am reacting to it after drinking. Matcha affogato with ceremonial matcha - the matcha taste is good but I am not sure why there is no Kinako powder on it (I thought it has Kinako powder from their Instagram video). Contactless payment, no cash accepted. No receipt given only via text or email. It would be better if they accept cash. Price is comparable to tourist area even they said one bottle has 2 servings, but consider is a 16oz drink that would equal to a large size drink, so price even out. Small interior space too and if customers bring in bigger size fur babies, it does get crowded. I probably won't be back but glad I try it once. read more

The selection of different types of quality Japanese tea based drinks and cold brew coffee is awesome. I like to mix and match different types of combos. My favorite is the hojicha latte with a splash of cold brewed coffee. The wife just loves the mocha & peppermint cold brew. The vibe there is great, all the employees are so cheerful & helpful. My friend describes the matcha latte like a refined matcha ice cream cone, that you actually drink and it's healthier with the oat milk base. My recommendation is, "try it, you'll surely like it" read more

A very cute small cafe with a few meme figures and Pocha (chain saw man) sitting underneath the table. My sister order 8 different cold brews. Still tasting some coffees that's currently sitting in my fridge. But I tried shiro this morning and it's so good! I like strong tasting coffee, but this is smooth and is sticking to its name "shiro" means white. Can't wait to try more flavors read more

Located right across from Yagura Restaurant on Liliha St, is a cute cafe with unique, Japanese inspired coffee flavors! The workers are so friendly and very helpful. Go enough and they might remember you. Made me realize how often I was coming when I got greeted with "Welcome! Nice seeing you again!" My go-tos are normally the Matcha Cold Brew and the Toasted Coconut. They use oat milk for all of their drinks, love that for all of our lactose intolerant besties (myself included)! Every once in a while they'll have these pop-up specialty drinks. This week I got their strawberry iced tea. Really refreshing! Be prepared for parking though, it's all street, meter parking. But it's worth it! read more

Neko Koneko - Toasted Coconut, Strawberry Iced Tea, Shiro Cold Brew - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Very cute, very trendy Japan style cafe with cool literature and tables for study/chill. I'm mostly a work from home person on days when I'm tending to my online stuff but I see some more trips here in my future. Also it's cat themed Had the Hojicha latte and it was delicious. Tasted just like the roasty delicious varieties we enjoyed in Japan. I love that they are automatically dairy free (oat milk). 8-9$ for coffee drinks which is on the higher end but I dont mind because the quality is definitely there. Staff is really sweet and helpful if it's your first time there. read more

Really cute coffee shop. A little expensive for coffee, but it is very creamy. The drinks are pretty sweet, and they usually use oat milk in their drinks. Their tea drinks, however, can sometimes go bad even before the expiration date. I've already had two spoil drinks, both tea. Next time, I'll need to drink it first before anything else. read more

visited oahu for the first time from socal and found this little gem on yelp! my friends and i were already falling for the store's adorable decorations and cat themed items but we were hooked after our first sips of samples we tried! we ordered the kurogoma, shiro, hojicha cb, orange cream, and the borahae drink! highly recommend the kurogoma, shiro, and hojicha!!! the kurogoma has the perfect balance of sesame and coffee without overpowering each other. the shiro is a nice sweet coffee without being overly sweet. the hojicha cold brew has great blends of earthiness and coffee flavor. overall we loved how good their coffee flavor and taste is in all the drinks. it wasn't acidic but had good depth. all their drinks come with oat milk at default too which is a dub for the lactose people and others who enjoy oat milk in general! we tried other spots around the island but couldn't help comparing it to neko koneko! my friends and i actually had to make a last stop before heading to the airport to get our last fix. neko koneko, you will be missed! if u made it this far... do urself a favor and support this new business!!! read more

Visiting from the mainland and I love trying new coffee shops. I came across this while in my search and was able to order online and pick up pretty quick. The store front is quite tiny so easy to miss and parking is very sparse. They have two spots in front if you can snag them. I bought the caramel macnut and cold brew shiro (white chocolate) and I must say, they are super tasty but not overly sweet. The coffee flavor is smooth with a subtle hint of the macnut flavor. On the pricier side but it's served in a cute plastic bottle which I will reuse. Staff was friendly too, so a win for all! read more

Neko Koneko - Tasty iced coffee, and love them both equally! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Neko Koneko is sooo amazing. They are my favorite coffee/drink cafe. I've tried almost all of their drinks and I personally believe that their Cold Brew Shiro/Caramel Macnut are the best options with a special mention of their (Peppermint, seasonal?) Matcha Latte. The drinks are pre-made in individual bottles and given in boxes if a large amount is ordered. It's a small, aesthetic cafe with friendly employees, unfortunately, however, in a hard to reach area with horrible parking. read more

This café is small yet charming, with excellent service. Since I'm not accustomed to bottled or pre-made coffee, I initially ordered my usual cold brew with oat milk. To clarify, I typically drink espresso and had expected this to be a traditional coffee shop where the barista prepares the espresso in front of you, but I discovered it's quite different. Next time I visit, I'll definitely try the bottled coffees! read more

Okay I have been avoiding this place because I remember when this store was just a little truck and farmers market and thought they only sold flavored milk in bottles, but I was proven so wrong!! Although the parking and location is very iffy the store itself is so cute! Although the drinks are pretty pricey, they are sooo worth it! I had the hojicha which confirmed my love for hojicha lattes and the special strawberry matcha which was also amazing. read more

Friendly staff and the coffees are on point! They even offer you a cup with ice for the road

Read reviews about this little gem for coffee. The cafe is small with two tables, but the service and coffee was great! My wife had the iced green tea and it was refreshing. I had the iced Kuro Goma and it was smooth and fantastic! So good, I ordered another one in a bottle to go! The black sesame somehow tones down the coffee bite and gives it a roasted flavor. Closed on Fri and Sun though. I will definitely be back when I visit and load up my ice chest. read more

Neko Koneko - So refreshing and smooth! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

The drinks were great and liked that they had ready to go drinks in a bottle. We will be back to try other flavors.

Love coming here with my friend when she comes home (she lives down the street from this shop)! My fav is the mango yogurt drink, it's a special that you can only get in-store. The store has friendly staff and the atmosphere is very cute and Japanese. The little magazines and decor are just so cute. Love coming here! read more

First time there today, tried the Kinako Cold Brew and it was so worth it!! You can taste the kinako but it is not overwhelming. haven't had this place since i saw them at the farmer's market a long time ago. i had an appointment nearby & while i was waiting, i looked for a place to get food that was nearby. saw that neko koneko had a spot, didn't even know they had one! i was shocked that they've been there for a while now. anyway, after my appt i headed over... i already knew i was gonna get a matcha latte bottle. decided to also try a strawberry matcha latte. i wasn't expecting much from it since i've had one at another popular matcha shop & wasn't impressed. but, to my surprise, i really liked it. i will definitely be back for it. the bottled matcha latte was just as i remembered it from before. the bottle was good for 3 days which is nice. they offered me a cup of ice for it too. it's very cute inside & the staff was very friendly :) read more

I always wanted to try Neko Koneko. The parking availability always made me hesitate to try it. I found a parking space this time, so I decided to stop by. The interior of the coffee shop is cute, well organized and clean. The friendly cashier explained to me the different coffee options. I decided on Chairo since she explained to me that it is a little sweet. I wanted to try Chairo just to check the flavor and sweetness. I will definitely return and try the other cold coffee items. I really liked it. The one I tried had a nice flavor, smooth, and did not have a bitter taste. read more

Such a cute coffe shop! Definitely a must try if you're in Honolulu. Some of my favorites were the Shiro, Toasted Coconut and the Goma Shiro

This is the cutest coffee shop located right by the original Lilian Bakery! I loved the aesthetic and vibe of this shop. It really makes me feel like I'm right in Japan! I ordered the matcha latte and it came in a bottle which I'll definitely reuse! The matcha wasn't too sweet or overpowering, which is always a plus! Very refreshing drink on a hot day! Their books and decor really set the vibe for this place - we spent about half an hour inside, and had lots of fun together! Perfect place to visit and catch up with friends. Looking forward to coming back! read more

I came here at the enthusiastic recommendation of my dad's eye doctor's receptionist lol. I tried the pre-bottled cold brew matcha latte and iced matcha latte (the one in a cup). Both of them were very sweet, very creamy, and very devoid of any distinct matcha flavor and astringency because it was totally overpowered by the fatty oat milk and coffee. I ordered the matcha latte lightly sweetened, but like I said, it was quite sweet to the point where it overpowered the matcha flavor. I couldn't quite put my finger on it at first, but I saw another reviewer say that the matcha latte tastes like the one from Starbucks and I couldn't agree more. A little cheat code: I did see them offer samples to another customer while I was waiting for my drink, but they definitely don't advertise it. The inside of the cafe is very cute, but not a good place to sit/ chat/ work/ dilly dally/ hang out because it is very crowded and has limited seating. I didn't have an overtly negative experience, but the inconvenient location, disappointing flavor, and outlandish prices ($10 for any of the 16 oz. pre-bottled drinks and $6.50 for my 12 oz matcha latte with a ton of ice!!!) would deter me from coming back again. Not to be rude but I think this cafe is so popular because its target demographic is mindless consumerist sheep who will buy anything just because it's "cute" or "trendy." read more

first off, the space is so cute and well decorated. workers were so sweet and let us do taste test on some drinks that we were in between. both our drinks were delicious and we were immediately planning our next visit here and even said we needed to grab a few bottles to bring back home. highly recommend both of these drinks! read more
