We started with the garlic parmesan wings, which were incredibly flavorful and a great way to begin the meal. Next, we had the Caesar salad and the BBQ chicken pizza. The Caesar salad portion was huge, easily enough for two people and probably even enough to share among four. The BBQ chicken pizza was absolutely delicious and a standout dish for us. I want to give a special shout-out to Carlos and the food runner working tonight. He was very friendly and made a point to check on us as he passed by to make sure everything was good. In my opinion, that kind of attentiveness is what separates average service from seasoned food and beverage professionals. For dessert, we ordered the churros, which had an amazing filling that instantly hooked us. Our 3- and 5-year-old also enjoyed their kids' meals, and the fact that each kids' meal includes a sundae was a great touch. We can't wait to return, this is definitely a spot worth trying

Many of the drinks start around $19 and can go all the way up to approximately $45. I had a martini that tasted fine, but it was surprisingly small for the price. At those prices, I expected a more generously sized cocktail. Other than the drinks being overpriced in my opinion, I enjoyed the experience. The Nest has been a desert favorite for years, and there's a reason. It's always nice to see Dodi there and how much pride she takes in the restaurant. That's where we drew-the-line and sent it back and didn't ask for a replacement. Asparagus was excellent and best thing of my entire meal...worth another 1/2 star. Dessert options were so boring we all took a hard pass. Can you say, simple apple pie or ice cream? Worst dessert offerings I've seen in a long time at a fine dining resto. I've refrained from writing this review but felt the need to express my freedom of speech. Maybe it's a good thing they're closed throughout the summer and reopening in September, so you don't have to waste your time & money here.

Yee-Haw, Neils is a Buckin' Good Time! If you're lookin' to stir up some trouble in a saloon straight out of the wild west, well giddyup on over to Neils in Indio. This watering hole is a true desert rose that'll have you two-steppin' your way to a knee-slappin' good time. My partner and I saddled up to Neils on a recent Saturday night, decked out in our most boot-scootin' country garb. As soon as we stepped through the swinging doors, we knew we were in for a real rodeo. A good ol' karaoke throwdown was in full swing, with podunk crooners working the mic like seasoned ranchers! The liquid courage was flowing like a mighty river too. I bent an elbow with some signature "Tattered Lasso" - their take on a laidback ranch water with a real sturdy kick. It went down smoother than a colt's behind, giving me just the liquid nudge I needed to mosey up and belt out some twangy power ballads myself. My partner's feisty "Red Eye Rattler" (a tangy whiskey lemonade) had her callin' yeehaw like a wild bronco! The atmosphere was everything you'd want from a true honky tonk establishment. Vintage farm tools, weathered horseshoes, and oil lamps adorned the knotty pine walls. The well-worn barstools and checkered linoleum floors added to the down-home, no-frills charm. We felt like we stumbled into a hayride straight out of Tombstone! Of course, it wouldn't be a proper hoedown without some hearty grub to soak up the sauce. The stacked "Dogpatch Nachos" with smoked brisket burnt ends really corralled our late-night munchies. We also lassoed up some fiery "Ranch Hand Chicken Wings" that had us fanning our mouths like a pair of old biddies. All in all, Neils is a real diamond in the rough - a raised-on-the-ranch roadside joint that lets you live out your line dancing dreams to the fullest. I really don't appreciate going in to an establishment where the staff seems to be more intoxicated than the guests. We like to drink...but we couldn't seem to keep up with the Bingo Boppers. Not only that, but every person we watched walk out of that place was in no condition of driving. It appreared to me they were all being OVER SERVED! Especially those who apprear to go on a regarlur basis at the bar. I like to have as much fun as the next guy, but this desert really needs a fun, refreshing place to go on Sundays (everydays) and watch football (etc)...get some hot bartenders or something. We don't want to sit and look at a bunch of ugly men when we're trying to have a good time. Beer Goggles or not. The food takes FOREVER for the amount of people that were there. I recently visited Neil's Lounge for the first time, and it quickly became my new favorite dive bar! The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, perfect for a night out. The food was surprisingly great--definitely not what you'd expect from a typical dive bar. The service was wonderful, with friendly staff who made sure everything was just right. I also appreciated that it's 21 and over, which adds to the relaxed vibe. And the prices? Absolutely awesome! Great bar except during karaoki. The karaoki guy puts up video pictures of Obama between singers. You're not allowed to talk politics or relgion at the bar, but the TV screens all around the place show pics of Obama. When I complained to the bartender (Chris... I think), he said "Hey, get used to it, your going to have to deal with him for another 4 years." That, plus the fact that the bartender is so busy hitting on the girls in the bar to serve the people at the bar makes me say avoid this place. read more

Did I shave my legs for this?? I wasn't too impressed with the drinks. They didn't taste very good, and I even sent one back. Not enough outdoor seating, and the cups they served us in I felt were a little cheap. I swear I am completely sober while writing this! I never "drink and review." The food was good though. Extremely friendly and fun servers as well. I will definitely go back and try it again just because they were so nice. read more

Ended our night here and can't say it was the worst, but also can't say it was the best. The service was alright, considering the servers were running around on the busy night. The overall atmosphere was pretty run-down and not very well taken care of, so I couldn't really feel all that uncomfortable while we were there. Pretty shift characters around as well, so keep an eye on your drink. Overall, not that bad, but not the best. read more

New security guards are very disrespectful especially the dark skinned named Chris never heard a cop cuss a female out and called her a bitch. All night he was using vulgar words, several other incidents happened in which he would cuss out other customers as well. I love this place! Started coming here about a year or so ago. The service, staff, and prices have kept me going and sometimes making me wish I was there at another bar. Racist ass bar. Not the bartenders but the locals. Egoistic alpha vibes. The locals claim the pool tables and if you don't fit in they change and accommodate the rules to their pleasing. Just to make it clear - bartenders = cool; locals = shitty people. If you want to feel like throwing hands for disrespect- don't go there. read more

It's not fancy, but it's clean--even the bathroom. My friends and I go out to the desert for golf trips, and we usually spend one evening here. The beers are cold, the mixed drinks are strong, and the prices are reasonable. The locals are friendly.

Last time we were here it was towards the end of happy hour and the place was packed. Well this visits, we came around 3 pm and it was pretty lively. Every seating along the bar counter was occupied and a lot of the hi tops tables had reservations assigned to them. First off, we did not know that you could reserve a table for happy hour. We asked the bartender what the reservation was for thinking if something was going on tonight but found out that people tend to reserve tables for it. Within half an hour or so, the place was pretty packed. Everyone was coming in for their reserved tables. There was only a couple of the hi tops tables around the sides and back area that was open for walk in. Besides that everything else was reserved. Drinks specials are great hence why everyone comes by. Also, happy hour is extended for the weekend. The staffs are very friendly and sweet. Customers tends to be locals and regulars. Majority are the mature crowds but it's pretty much a mix brunch that loves a good happy hour.

If it wasn't for their professionalism and eagerness to ensure we could still get a seat for an almost fully booked appearance with Jay Rodriguez, we wouldn't have drove that far. Upon arrival Demetrius seated us. He was so welcoming and nice. Their drinks are on par, and quickly served. There is a lot of seating here. They have a stage as well with a really nice bar. We visited here as a work group. There's not much night life in Palm Springs during the week…read more The lounge is a gaming lounge with folks playing Mario Kart and Smash Bros. They have a pool table and the staff there are friendly and engaging. It's a decent place to hang out if you are looking for a place. Drinks are what you'd expect and prices. Would have ordered many more rounds of drinks if it wasn't for the service, closed out immediately after this interaction.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Hair of the Dog involving my trained service dog…read more When I arrived, the doorman/manager refused to let me enter with my service dog and told me we could sit outside. When I challenged that, he referred me to the owner, Chuck. Chuck came outside and reaffirmed that my service dog had to remain outside. He told me that I could go inside while someone could hold my dog on the deck. After I continued to object, Chuck asked me to show service-dog ID because my dog wasn't wearing a vest. I explained that service dogs are not legally required to wear a vest or carry identification. I happened to have an unofficial service-dog ID with me and showed it to him, but by that point I no longer wanted to give the establishment my business. As I was leaving, I passed the deck and heard Chuck discussing the incident with another man and describing me as unreasonable while saying he wasn't discriminating against anyone. After seeing my dog, the other man commented, "That's a big dog; I wouldn't want it in here either." For clarity, my dog was under my control and was not causing a disturbance. My issue isn't that someone asked the two questions businesses are permitted to ask about a service animal. My issue is that I was initially told my service dog could not accompany me inside, the owner reaffirmed that decision, and only after I repeatedly challenged it did the conversation turn to demanding identification because he wasn't wearing a vest. The ADA does not require service dogs to wear vests or carry service-dog identification. A business also cannot simply require a customer with a service dog to use outdoor seating instead of allowing the dog to accompany the customer inside. I ultimately chose to leave and spend my money elsewhere.
