Would not recommend! The man is rude and kept putting us off. My mom got locked out of her safe on a Saturday. All her medication was lock in the safe. We called Neil's to come out, they said they could but it wouldn't be until Monday, he said he would call that day and give us a time when he would be here. Monday 4 pm came around and no call from him. We called and asked what was going on he said he needed to call "Bighorn" safe company and find out how to get in. He said he would call "big horn" at 9am on Tuesday. Tuesday 10am came around we call him. He said he hadn't even talked to them yet! But he would call us back when he does. So I called Wasilla locksmith safe and vault. Told him what was going on and he said he would be at the house in an hour! He was polite, understanding and confident! Fantastic small town business. Had Neil come out to rekey our house when we moved into a new home. They also do a lot of volunteering and give back with youth sports in the community. They are a full service lock, key, repair shop. They also are a dealer for gun safes. read more

I also had a bad experience there. I came in for a quote on how much it would cost to re-key my apartment for insurance purposes, and the lady employee that work there could not even give me a professional quote. She acted like I was wasting her time. Instead, she wrote a quote on the back of a business card. That was really unprofessional. I'm not doing business when them ever. No thank you. read more

I scheduled them to come change the lock on our mailbox. The day of he called and cancelled. We never rescheduled. Then about a week and a half later I get a call saying they have keys for us for our mailbox. The (very rude) lady said someone had come out and changed the lock for us.... Without our knowledge. Well, since then we had changed our own lock. The lady claimed that regardless, we owed them $120.00 dollars! (it cost us just over $10 to do it ourselves). Then she said she was going to just send me to collections and hung up on me. It was just really weird, very poor business practice and EXTREMELY rude people. read more

I discovered Neil's in 2003 when I needed mailbox keys that worked for my mailboxes. At first I was a bit timid of the gruff very Alaskan man behind the counter. I told him of the trouble that I'd had with getting new cut keys to work in my mailbox. He assured me that HIS key would certianlly work and that if they didn't then there was probably something wrong with my lock. I was elated to discover that the key did work! I have not stopped going back and am a regular customer of theirs getting new keys cut every other month for my mailbox business. I warmed right up to his wife, Lindy and over the years have weaseled my way into Neil's heart as well. (or I'd like to think I have) They do great work and they are people I am proud to call friends. read more

Absolutely Terrible! I went there to get a hardened steel trailer pin lock opened or picked due to loosing the key. The owner, "Oscar the Grouch" from Sesame Street comes out smelling like garbage proceeds to act like I was bothering him with my dilemma. So instead of picking my lock or drilling it like a normal locksmith would do, he proceeds to suggest we sawzaw the hardened steel lock? I was thinking ... Really? What was I thinking to let this idiot attempt to sawzaw a hardened steel pin lock? So he gets a sawzaw out and starts hammering away scratching my bumper and trailer hitch ... then realizes it's hardened steel, and it is in no way going to work. I just asked him to stop because he was causing damage to my bumper and receiver hitch. Then he suggests I go to Greatland Welding to have it torched off. Gary at Greatland was nice but agreed with me to find another Locksmith before we caused any more damage to my bumper. I finally realized this guy was a few short like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I couldn't believe it, and to further complicate things ... he dorked up my receiver hitch with his sawzaw. Then he acted like it was no big deal and suggested I went elsewhere. After visiting Greatland Welding, I finally gave it a shot and went to Roy in Palmer at Valley Locksmith. This experience was like the difference between Night and day. In approximately five minutes, Mr. Roy at Valley Locksmith used a Locksmith Trade device and picked my lock off my trailer pin receiver. Snap! BOOM! Done! It was a very well spent, and very reasonable $6.00 bucks. I used to recommend this Neil's business to others; but stay away! I will no longer recommend this shady, unprofessional, and rude business to anyone requiring anything Locksmith wise. This establishment has gone completely downhill over the past few years due to an "I don't care attitude." Save yourself the time, and heartache -- Go elsewhere in the Valley for ANY Locksmith needs. Mr. Roy at Valley Locksmith in Palmer is extremely knowledgeable, and professional -- Not this Neil guy! read more

So disappointed in the service of this company, and very disappointed they are the only AAA locksmith in my area. I managed to lock my keys in the car twice in one day (bad day!). The first time Neil's came out, the driver was so rough with the door it actually bent the door frame. The second time he came out, I politely asked him to try a different method, and pointed out the damage he had caused, he then yelled at me and went outside to "make a phone call" and the next thing I heard was him peeling out of my driveway. He left me and two small children with the keys still locked in the car. Showed a real lack of integrity. read more

First class operation. They opened my car in no time flat with out any damage.

Was able to get my into my lock quickly but the service man was extremely rude and unpleasant. I would definetly not suggest this company to anyone. read more
