Ray responded right away. He bid under everyone else and we scheduled the pick up on the same day I made the request. He arrived with enthusiasm, ready to work. Initially, I called him to remove a recliner but I also needed a 8x10 carpet removed (forgot to include it in my initial request), once here, he included that for the same price (Happy camper!). I noted that he was careful with my furniture while removing the carpet. A pet peeve of mine is workers not caring about leaving a mess or being rough. I'll keep this brief. I read the prior reviews. Including a very negative one where he took $100. Well, Raymond came saw the job and verbally gave me an estimate saying 3-4 days. But also said he'd provide a cost break down and written estimate (which he did thru Yelp). It was about 50% higher. We spoke about it (said he used a new "estimator app" and then brought the price down $300ish dollers less than the home visit estimate. I asked for the adjusted bid to be updated in the Yelp App and it was. He asked for 50% down payment (it was thru the App so I thought it'd be a safe bet). WRONG! He messaged me at 0500 on the start date of the project. (Basicly, he "just finished a comercial job" disappointed... I remembered he was late to provide me a bid because, he had to fix something that "wasn't perfect" well that I guess took 1/2 a day as I recall. Note: My 2nd warning sign. So, The next day no call, no show... I waited till 12-1 PM to ask him what was up? Personal issues "I'll be there later today." Hoping he'd keep his word I waited till about 8 PM, I call reminding him He said later today and today ends at midnight. He said he had the materials (13 sheets of drywall) and would be here before midnight. Note: He's in Palmer I'm in Eagle River. At 11:30 PM, I call again. Another Note: It's all me initiating calls or txt msgs (not him). He says He is on his way with the sheetrock and will be there befoe Midnight. Again, 0130 I message him saying I'll buy the sheetrock at market price (so I'm not being a to him. No reply. I do a stop payment/CC dispute ...(he's got the money already). Suddenly, he starts to initiate contact with me, asking to drop the dispute & he continue with our estimate. LOL ...fooled me once... He never once apologized only excuse after excuse (starting from my dispute date). So today; months later... the dispute was resolved in my favor by CitiBank. I knew I'd win he was trying to claim materials cost $1600+. (13 sheets of drywall, that he wouldn't even provide me afterward bet he never bought them! Anyway, SCAM ARERT. Unreliable, poor communicator, over charging (estimator app LOL). Fix your personal issues before "trying" to operate a business! I was very accomidating to wait for a dispute resolution before posting this review. I hope people take my long review into consideration and look at the others. read more

I only asked to hook up and dvd player , camera , and small bear skin rug . He never did the work . Took $100.00 from me and never did the work. He is a scammer. Brought his dog and left me the muddy mess the dog made , and I paid for the dog food . Totally unethical. I also had to feed him and his girlfriend and they had excuses for why they had no food and had to leave without doing the work . Take one look at him and you'll see why he can't be trusted . He tried to raise the price on me after he got the money in advance , he did not ever do the work.Then he kept leaving and would come back days later . Never did the work .
