Comparatively, I don't know rental prices, yet we were very pleased with a reasonable rate, plus the added assistance of Tally and her staff regarding the logistics of the PODS, etc. We recommend them as our unit was clean and no issues with pests or otherwise. These are outside entrance storage units, thus not climate controlled, inside entrance; meanwhile, that would be a decision one would have to make depending on each's circumstances. For ours, it served its purpose, with Tally and staff being friendly and helpful throughout our ever-changing ordeal. Thanks!

They even marked our outside parking space we rented with a cone, so it'd be easy to find, because we needed to drop the vehicle after hours. I rented a unit in December and paid 4-months in advance at $72/month, plus a mandatory insurance coverage, which I was told could be canceled after the first month if I contacted them. I recently received two notices for a rate change in the mail the same day. One stated that the price would increase to $89/month and the other stated $144/month. They can't even make up their mind how much they want to jack up the rate. It looks like I will be relocating to Remington Storage in Hernando across from Citrus Hills. It is much easier to get in and out of Remington Storage with a utility trailer.

Stay away from this facility! Otter Storage very secretly purchased the facility I have used for…read moreyears. In August 2022, I showed up to pay my bill, only to find the office abandoned, and a new sign. I did not like the fact that there was no notice, but I took down the number to call and made my payment. I continued to make a total of 7 payments, each time speaking with a live person. When I made my payment this March, 2023, I was immediately met with a text, advising me that my access to my unit was blocked, because suddenly, they don't know me. Never at any time was my identity in question the whole time they've been accepting my payments. I never signed an agreement, in fact it was 4 months before they called to inform me that they were now owners of the facility. Otter has no manned facilities, therefore, nowhere to confirm my identity. They "say" that this is their rule, but I never received any rules, and reading their terms online, I see no such statement that allows them to deny access to a customer who has paid their monthly rent. And by the way, they hijacked the previous owners glowing reviews, and are claiming them as their own. Edit: This is for the Ocala location. It is showing that I am in Sorrento, that is incorrect.

However, the girl that worked there did not address some of the issues that occurred and never mentioned them to the owner so things were never handled in a timely manner. I had issues with billing and needed a credit and had to call several times in order for that to happen. She just never took care of anything. In addition, I left in the middle of the month, and the amount I had paid for the month was not prorated, which is extremely disappointing. I always felt safe when I was at my storage unit and always felt like my items were safe.
