Visiting from out of state, I travel a lot and try bbq all over. This place is solid! Got the full rack of ribs, they do the sauce on the side which is perfect for me bc I like to try the meat on its own to get a feel for the quality of a bbq spot. I did try the sauce, it is fire as well, super tangy. Mac and cheese was fantastic, perfectly seasoned, a lot of places don't add enough or any seasoning at all. Finally, the ribs were super tender and perfectly smoked. Wish I saw this place earlier in my trip out here. I have lived in the South most of my life and have eaten my share of BBQ. This was, without question, some of the best you can get. Their sauce is a favorite in being a Carolina vinegar and mustard base with the perfect sweet-spicy-tangy combination over perfectly smoked ribs with the ideal fall off the bone tenderness. Holy bbq!! The bbq gods smiled down from the heavens on Neicy's. This place was is the TRUTH! Ok seriously, the damn best bbq I've had in a good while. Ribs were perfection. But here's the thing. The mustard sauce y'all! I am usually not a fan of mustard bbq. The lady at the counter asked- mustard sauce and slaw on top? Something in me just knew I had to. Thank gawd I went for it because this was the best sauce ever! Seriously should be bottled and sold everywhere. Sides: There was a bunch listed on the board, but we were late and they were out of baked beans. The dressing- omg! Creamed, yet fluffy. I just hope this is a year round thing. Mac & Cheese - you know it's creamy and delicious My guy got the combo, leg quarters and chopped pork sandwich (chips & drink) It cake with the same option of sauce and slaw. He also went for it. Went back and the food was basically a barely edible salt bomb that left me feeling queasy.

Just a hole in the wall. And food was not that great ! I wouldn't recommend going outta your way to visit it.

The pulled chicken sandwiches are a winner. Whenever people will line up and wait for food without a complaint, it's bound to be good. I haven't had everything from here but so far, no complaints. The pulled pork sandwiches with the slaw is excellent, tasty, great smoke and tender. On our next trip, we will try the ribs. If y'all are reading this...please consider offering smoked wings. Coming here since 2018 when we first arrived in Fort Benning. We've never ordered anything that we don't like. All meals comes with a sweet tea on the side. The food is amazing it was our first experience with a mustard base BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce is my favorite it has to be bottled and sold separately I'd buy it by the galloon. read more

It's a shame I didn't take a picture, but I was in the car and ate it too fast. First, let me say I'm a barbecue snob and smoke my own ribs. Neicy's does it right. I got their rib plate with baked beans and potato salad. First, the ribs were smoked and meaty. The sauce seemed Carolina to me, and the meet was tender and smoky. Possibly hickory wood. The baked beans were incredible, and they had some ground beef for extra texture. The potato salad was incredible too. It seemed homemade to me. The ribs came with 5, but they gave me a few more, and I could only finish about 4. They were awesome and even better when I had the leftovers at home. Loved it. read more

I am from Columbus GA and let me say it's a shame that as many times I have been home I've never tried this place. Lots of great stories I heard of the food but never been. Nonetheless on this day of hanging with my mom and youngest daughter, I decided to give it a try. Because of COVID 19, of course this small business can only do to go dining. Parking is very limited on a Saturday afternoon. Probably always limited seeing that the area is small. You can smell the wonderful smell of barbecue walking up to place. Inside the place where the orders are taken, I say again, is small. The line was about 8 people deep. I did not see any postings for social distancing but I wasn't really looking for them either. I know that many of the people in line had on masks though. Neicys has a posted menu displayed but of course many items that you want they may be out of. With the place being so good you can only expect it. My mom and I ordered two rib plates which comes with half a slab of meaty ribs sauced with potato salad, baked beans and bread for $12 each. She ordered sauce on the side, but somehow our boxes got mixed up and i ended up with the sauce on the side. I ordered also for the kids since it was gonna be to go, two pulled pork sandwiches for $6. I want to say I enjoyed the food shortly after but after dropping my mom off, I had to drive an hour back to Lee county. However when I did get the chance to sit down, after reheating the plate the ribs were sooo good. The ribs were very meaty, succulent, and fell of the bone. The sauce was sweet and a bit spicy which was good. The potato salad was nice and the beans were smoky with hints of brown sugar. I couldn't believe how good it was. Food on the hot bar was at least a couple of hours old,not sure what the temperature was, but it wasn't hot.. .A little common courtesy goes a long way. It's off the beaten path but a must stop and try. I had to try almost everything due to the prices. 2 chopped pork sandwiches for $5 which are the standard hamburger size but was very tasty. Sausages were $2 with grilled bell peppers and onions and of course there was more to choose from. On Sunday they even have a Soul Food menu. My order of baked beans were larger than the typical single serving. With these prices you can feed your entire family. There is a limited amount of seating so if you have a group plan to order to go. The staff was super friendly and showed true southern hospitality. The restaurant was clean but easy to miss if depending on the direction you arrive. I plan to visit again and try the Sunday menu. I also have a slice of homemade red velvet cake I can't wait to try but I'm sure it will be phenomenal too. read more

We recently moved from out of state new to the Georgia Columbus area, we happened to drive by Neicys BBQ and what pulled us in was their huge smokers and a full parking lot. If the parking lot is full you know there is some good food to be had. We ordered 2 Rib plates with greens, Mac and Cheese, beans and field greens. All together we paid about $24.00 which is an amazing price for some amazing BBQ. The ribs were so tender they fell right off the bone, there was no way I was going to be able to stop eating that's how incredible every thing tasted. For a reasonably low cost you definitely get your money's worth, exceptional BBQ and all around great customer service. Highly recommend that you pick up some good ol southern BBQ you will not be disappointed. Since our last visit it is all we can think about, we will be forever customers. Great downhome BBQ! Fantastically friendly service - with a little wait - that was well worth it. This place is out of the way, seems like it is in a residential neighborhood, but keep going until you find it! Not fancy, only a few tables inside - most people seem to get takeout. We sat inside and had 2 chopped pork sandwiches for $5! We got wonderful collard greens too. I asked about unsweet tea - and our order taker said "There ain't nothing here unsweet - except Her!" pointing to her coworker! Wow, just go. I am a road salesman in ga and al so I eat a little bbq. Simply put best chipped (pulled) pork sandwich anywhere. Yea I know that's always an argument but it's good. I had chipped pork with slaw on top. It has a mustard sauce on it and I'm usually not a fan. If all mustard sauce was done like this one I would be. Delicious!!! Also had a sausage with peppers and onions on a bun and a side of baked beans. Sausage was just like you'd grill on Sunday for relatives that you actually like and the beans were sweet and Smokey like I wish I could make. They also have chicken and ribs. I will be back again . Stumbled across this little gem!! Great smiley flavor for the ribs, the sausage dog was to die for, the burger was just right, and wonderful sides and desserts too!!! The only thing that I would like to see would be less sauce on the chipped sandwich, which is like a pulled pork. But all and all, much better than downtown and chain BBQ. Wow.. at a loss for words on how great this place is. I'm just visiting for an army graduation and decided to search out a quality restaurant and this is the place to be. The food is AMAZING! The homemade bbq sauce cannot be beat! The service was impeccable. Small restaurant, but a very homey vibe. Definitely a place to add to your once a week outing for food.
