Great facility, great games, great golf set-up, great bowling, and great kart racing circuit. Most importantly it is clean, well laid out. Great for kids and adults. Most importantly the staff are very nice people from the front lobby to the people working on the bowling, golf and especially the Kart attractions. For groups there is an outdoor area. This is NOT your fathers arcade. This place is clean, great facilities, good group of games and something for everyone. We are repeat visitors with out of town family and this is always their go to place when visiting. Can't stress the attention to detail by the staff. If I could give this place a rating less than 1 star, I would. We wanted to celebrate our grandson's 10th birthday, so we paid for the GOLD Karting Package, the most expensive of the choices. With taxes, additional food and drinks, we spent well over ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS !! Was it worth it ?? Not just "no", but HECK NO !! We got there about 30 minutes before our 2-hour time slot. (Our slot was from 4PM to 6PM. They were SO adamant about the party being done BY 6PM, because there was another party that was going to take the room. Remember this sentence). There were 5 or 6 people coming in and out ot the room, telling us all sorts of different information. The problem with this procedure is that the person who was running the kart races was scheduling the races when the food was coming out. So that means that by the time the races were done, the pizzas would be cold. And the pizzas weren't that great. The ice cream that was supposed to be part of the package was never served. Nobody told us that we had to sign ANOTHER waiver form, despite signing one from the other Need2Speed facility. The level of complete disorganization of this whole ordeal can be described with two words: ABSOLUTE CLUSTERFVCK. I'm sure some representative from Need2Speed is going to respond by saying, "Well, we texted you all the information/contract regarding everything". Uh, nope. We didn't get jack. This definitely contributed to the mass confusion. All these problems could have been easily avoided by assigning ONE host who has the ability to COORDINATE the kitchen, racing supervisor, and all the other departments involved. This ONE host could have assembled EVERYBODY in the party, and then briefed EVERYONE when the race would be started, when the ice cream would come out, when the pizzas will be served so it would hot, etc., etc. Only then would our special event would have been worth the money. As of what happened yesterday, I would NOT RECOMMEND this place for ANY sort of event, because the level of disorganization is BEYOND description. We had to move all the birthday presents and dessert cups we had made to an area outside the bar. We stayed until 8:30. When we checked the room that we vacated from to see if there was another party, guess what ?? It was completely empty. The lie they told us regarding that room was like pouring salt into a wound, and was the final "straw that broke the camel's back". So save your money, and go elsewhere for your special event. When our grandson was 6 or 7, we celebrated his birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. We even celebrated another one of his birthdays at Wild Island. They were A LOT more organized and would recommend those places than Need2Speed ANY day. read more

I was really looking forward to this place. I used to go to the south location all the time when I was younger, so I was pumped when this one opened nearby. What a letdown. This place is a mess. I get that it's new, but that doesn't excuse total disorganization. If you're going to have a schedule, stick to it. Don't make people wait around in some random 30-minute window just hoping their name gets called. It's not that hard. And when you finally get in a kart? They're horrendously slow. Both times I raced, the cars felt capped at maybe 70% power. What's the point? I'm not paying your prices to crawl around a warehouse floor with my foot mashed to the floor the whole time. If I wanted to go slow, I'd drive through 395 at 5 p.m. The night crew clearly has no clue what they're doing. Zero energy, zero urgency, zero direction. Management needs to step in and train these kids--or at least have someone on site who knows how to run the place. I expected fun. I got overpriced boredom and chaos. Get it together read more

We went to the new location for my son's birthday, as a fanily. We loved the old location and was excited to see the new track. Online reservations are not available, only walk in. We waited FOUR hours to get his junior race in. Once on the track, they did 3 slow laps around the track, then the race was cancelled. There was a family of kids that did not know how to drive at all. During the slow grid formation lap, they kept steering straight into the wall. They also kept letting off the gas pedal to roll down the ramp and caused safety concerns for the manager. Instead of pulling them, management pitted the whole grid, and cancelled the race for all children. Like I said, we waited FOUR HOURS to do one race! They do not allow reservations whatsoever. We wasted so much money on arcade, food, and drinks while waiting for the race that we never even got to enjoy. To compensate the families, they gave us a race credit. That's it. We wasted a whole day to hang out at a subpar restaurant (food was absolutely salty), subpar arcade (a third of the machines were out of order), and endured the obnoxiously LOUD music for a race that never got going. Please do not go here. Save your money, and sanity. Let's get this poorly managed business out of town by enjoying other family friendly places around town. read more

Came with our 12 year old son and some friends to race and play arcade games. Unfortunately, despite everyone being tall enough per the sign (both at the entrance and at the race counter) our son wasn't allowed to race on the adult carts. Luckily his friends were agreeable to race in youth carts. There is NO purpose in having a sign if it doesn't actually mean anything. It is clearly meaningless and causes disappointment for young kids and confusion and lengthy discussions/lines for all. The process was also far too drawn out (in part because half the kids that measured tall enough were then denied and discussions of alternative options were needed.) In short, take the signs down or honor when the height requirement is met. Service at the restaurant was slow, food came out cold and was also disappointing. Overall, not worth the money. read more

What an amazing experience I got to share with my twins. We had originally heard about Need 2 Speed last week when they were on the news for inviting The Children's Cabinet in for a free party. We saw the glowing red race track and they were sold. We went in on Tuesday, and were greeted by a energetic and friendly cashier who informed us that Tuesdays are buy one race get one free. So we bought 1 race and got to race twice. The employees in the race area were great and made us feel safe and ready to race. My twins are both over 56 inches so we all got to race in the bigger karts. The track was awesome. It was double level and full of adrenaline laced twists and turns. After we finished racing we decided since it was near dinner time, we would check out their menu. They had a wide selection of burgers, flatbreads, salads and a lot of teenager friendly foods. I had a pint and the Meat Lovers Pizza with smoked pulled pork, bacon, pepperoni and Italian sausage My son had the South Western Bacon Smash burger, it came with fried jalapenos and a side of fries. My daughter had the carne asada tacos. We didn't have time to play the bowling, golf or arcade, but they all looked fun. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to our friends. read more

We booked an adult birthday party here for over 10 people and spent almost $800 and were very disappointed with the disorganization. The kid working was very unhelpful with the checkin process and getting everyone paid, and it was very hectic getting everyone lined up to race. They did have a nice private party area in the back and we had a great time racing (although watch out if you get motion sick a couple of people in the group had to drop out from getting sick, and we also had some nasty wrecks which keeps you sore for awhile, but that's part of racing!) Something that really irritated us was that the party package on the website said the winner got a medal. At the end of the racing when we asked about giving the medal to the winner, they said sorry it was only for kids birthday parties, but that we could buy a trophy and they were not cheap. The business is a fantastically clean and spread out facility that houses Go Kart racing, black light mini golf and VR. If you look around there are so many cool framed race shirts, a full size race car, a mini cooper, and need to speed logos all over the walls. Soft couches for relaxing and chairs and tables to watch the racers. General Manager Scott Acencio has been overseeing Need 2 Speed for the last 1 1/2 years. The Business Owner is Chris O. Need 2 Speed is one of the businesses who will be participating in the 2023 Senior Winter Games. As a participant in the winter games, I came to practice before my competition date tomorrow. I was so excited to put on my black hood, helmet, go pro and learn the rules of racing. Amanda is a briefer, who explains all the driving rules before the racers get in their Go Karts. This was my first experience as a racer. The electric Go Karts can reach 45 to 55 Miles an hour. One race is 14 Laps. If you are the kind of speed demon that I am, you will feel that after 14 laps around this track, you have had a great workout. All the racers for each race get in their go kart and wait in the line up. The green flag is waved and the racers start driving slowly. Once all the Go Karts are on the track, the speed kicks in...and then you can drive really fast. What a rush!!!! As a racer, your goal, without crashing into another car, is to have the fastest speed and win the race. That was my goal today, to see how fast I can drive in 14 laps. Once you see the checkered flag, you know your race is over and you want to race again. An addicting and fun way to spend many hours of invigorating racing fun. You can pay an extra 6.00 to have a go pro attached to your helmet and then you get to watch your race. All the racers in each race, can see how they placed on a digital board. Today, I was #1 out of 5 other racers. My time was 25.707. I placed # 1 today. I'm so proud! If you are looking for a fast, fun and exciting new way to entertain yourself, your family and your friends, come to Need 2 Speed for a race. There is also a race camp for kids, teen and adults. If you are 48 inches or taller, you can drive a go cart. Beware! Total heartbreak. Last year we took 5 kids down to their location before the move. It was a birthday celebration and we drove from Tahoe. The kids had a great time with no issues and they became big fans and couldn't wait to go again. Anxiously awaiting for the move and track remodel, we were excited to take the kids racing again. This time was pure chaos, and not necessarily because it was busy with customers, but because they do not take reservations for less than 10 people and it doesn't help that the staff was frazzled and didn't know the system. When it finally came time to race, the birthday boy was denied and not allowed to race because they didn't have a helmet his size! There were no precautions for this and nowhere to try on helmets. It was a total let down for the boy who was being honored that day. This is the same organization that had an appropriate fitting helmet last year, but now this "improved " version did not. The boys felt horrible for this. At least the boys went bowling, but we could have saved time, money, and heartbreak by going to an actual bowling alley (with real bowling) somewhere closer to home. I went to my husband's companies event today. WSI. They paid upwards of $13,000. The food was cold and no flavor. Hamburgers and chips and bbq pulled pork. Although the food staff ladies were very nice! My 9 year old grandson wanted to race. They measured him at the front entrance. 48" being the minimum height. He passed. He then signed in to only a 30 minute wait. They took him back to be seated in the kart. We assumed they measured him again because he was strapped in, helmet on, ready to race! After 30 minutes with no movement from his line of racers, suddenly they removed him and another child from the karts. Said they were not tall enough! After 30 minutes of being ready to race, just sitting there waiting! Really? Why would they be so irresponsible and unprofessional! My grandson and the other racer were very broken hearted! How could they! This place should have been on top of it! After $13,000 spent! On what? Nothing! Unbelievable! They said the place would be all ours for 2 hours! Not true! Anyone and everyone were there. General public Not part of the $13,000 company paid event! Basically, the GM lied! So,for compensation, the shift Supervisor offered a free pass with a paid gaming card. Of course we turned it down as we will never set foot in there again. Coconut Bowl is way better all the way around for sure! So, if you are planning and event there for any reason, consider our experience and think again. Not worth it. After refusing to allow our 16-year-old to participate, the manager requested legal guardianship paperwork. I had the worst customer service ever at this place. I arrive at the place on a date at around 6:30pm and once I finish up registration the front desk girl warns my race would be at 7:30pm which I appreciated. Come 8pm and I still haven't gotten in a seat and when checking they said I was still not up for another 2 rounds. I had a dinner reservation I needed to be at so we decided to cancel and ask for a refund. I walked up to the first desk and asked the girl for a refund because the wait time was too long. She calls the manager over to help me and she asks a bunch of questions and THEN she tells me to "hold on" while she goes off to help a party to set up some VR headsets for 10 minutes before coming back to give me a refund which took 2 mins. I simply cannot understand why she couldn't have refunded me first instead of leaving me at the register and making me wait another 10mins for a refund when my issue was time. I would never go back to this poorly managed company they have no respect for anyone's time. read more

I would give them 0 stars if I could. We reserved spots at 1:50pm today to race go carts. We used their online system and booked for the 8:50pm slots to race. We drive an hour to get to the place, getting there at 8:47, to find the doors are locked. We then call the business and are informed they close at 9 and the last races of the night are at 8:30. When speaking to the person I ask for a refund and some type of confirmation that it is processed. She proceeds to tell me she can't give me any confirmation and that she processed the refund. I confirm with her and she says she processed it, but then follows that statement with saying that her boss will process the refund. I question her because she just said she processed it. She then tells me that what she actually did was write down that I requested a refund on a piece of paper and sends it to her boss through text for him to do it. So she lied initially. I would not recommend this place to anybody. Absolute trash customer service and horrible system. How can you book reservations that we paid for in advance and not honor them. All around horrible business and horrible experience. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. DEFINITELY DO NOT BOOK ONLINE. Probably will be screwed too. read more

This place is SO fun!!! My husband and I did a date night here & we were so glad they did. We started with this headset VR thing and got our butts kicked by Zombies! Then we did 2 races. Each race was 14 laps. Those go karts are faaaaast! They go 45mph!! They even have a junior option to go only 20mph. Which is cool, we are going to bring our 10 year old son. The staff was very good about monitoring how many people were in the vicinity and having people wait outside until their race (due to covid). Oh side note. Both my boyfriend and I had never been go kart racing, so I decided it'd be fun for us to give it a try during our recent trip to Reno. We arrived on a Saturday morning just after they opened at 10am. It's a big room with an indoor track. They also have a room in the back for glow in the dark mini golf. You register on an iPad and then pay up front. There was a family of five in line ahead of us. Unfortunately, their computer system was down, so we had to wait about 15 minutes before we got started. You get $5 off with Yelp check in! Since I didn't wear close toed shoes, I had to rent shoes for $4. They give you a brand new pair of socks to keep though, so that was nice. I thought we would be racing with the family ahead of us, but they went first, which was cool. While they were racing, we put on our head socks and the worker helped us pick helmets. He also took our picture, which was nice. Another worker was setting up our karts. Since I am short (under 5"), the worker gave me a booster seat thing, boosters on the pedals, and helped me move the seat forward. I really appreciated that he did this automatically and didn't make me feel uncomfortable. You get to race for 14 laps. It was honestly kinda scary for me at first, but fun once I got the hang of it. It'd probably be more fun with a group of friends so you can be more competitive. At the end, you can go to the front counter and they'll give you a print out of your stats and ranking!
