This little shop is so cute and serves great quality olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and food and drink! I stopped by today because I was so hungry and needed their Italian panini. This is a great specialty store on Main Street in Warren! My dad really wanted to come here to get some balsamic vinegar. We parked on the street and walked in. On the left wall was a large selection of balsamic vinegar. On the right wall is a large collection of olive oil. In the back was a counter you could order food at, and in the middle were table and chairs. They have sampling cups to taste the vinegars and oils. They really encouraged us to keep sampling, which was great because I feel awkward sampling too much. No shame here! We tried some very tasty balsamic vinegars. My favorite was the ume, or Japanese plum. It was very sweet! The oils were good, too, but I only sampled a couple because sampling oil without bread felt weird. We left with a few bottles at balsamic and a bottle of olive oil. They sell different sized bottles, too, and they bottle it right in front of you. One of the standouts we got was blueberry, it has an amazing blueberry taste! Definitely check this place out if you need some fun balsamic in your life- we all do! read more

We drove by this place a handful of times before I realized that I needed to go here and see what was inside. Hubby and I made a Bristol/Barrington date and folded this into our plans. Parking on the street wasn't an option but we did see a sign that said there was parking in back, so we looked into it and were parked with no issue. Once inside, we were at that time the only people there other than three employees. We asked if there was a "right way" to taste the olive oils and vinegars, and instead of giving us a technique, they suggested some recipes. Weird. We decided on our own to do the oils first, thinking that starting with vinegar would probably fry our taste buds for the subtle oils. We stayed away from the trendy flavored oils and just focused on the pure ones. We found three we liked, and did a side by side tasting, and picked the Cortatina and Frantoio. Once on the other side, we wanted to stay with more of the traditional flavors, and were pleased with the modena balsamic, and the white balsamic. The big surprise however, was the viscous and aged expensive vinegars they keep behind the bar and only available to taste by request if you know they're there. Once we decided what we wanted, we had to wait a significant time to flag someone down to get our items bottled. This was mainly because there were a bunch of ladies getting salads and sandos which were more critical to address than us, despite our order being hefty and us having been there for awhile. Prices are reasonable, but I did notice that everything comes from Oakland and I'm curious about how fresh it can be if it's stored in a west coast warehouse. When I asked about shelf life for supposed fresh oils they said they would be good for up to a year, which I think is too long for actual fresh oil. Who knows, I'm not an oil expert. I did love their additional pastas, sauces, and kitchen items, and for those hungry or thirsty, they have a wide variety of meals and drinks. Overall, this is cute and different, with a lot to see and experience, but service, information on products, and quality may be less than ideal if you stray to the trendy flavored items or want to be waited on in a timely manner. read more

This little Shop had so many great things going for it! My personal favorite is the little café. They have great espresso drinks, love the Venom which is their house mix for a super caffeinated, sweet beverage. Paninis are delicious too, I'd recommend calling in ahead of time to make sure it's done in time. All ingredients are fresh! Baked goods include homemade cupcakes, whoopie pies, Muffins, etc. They even have vegan goodies!! There is a table in front to eat at or small tables outside. Now if you are in to olive oil and vinegars they have any flavor you could possibly want or dream of, along with fresh pastas and sauce mixes. Ask the staff which they would recommend. All your recipes will be better with high quality balsamic vinegars flavored just the way you like it. Tasting is not possible due to covid but they can recommend the favorites like the traditional balsamic and the pomegranate balsamic. Olive oil, balsamic Witham touch of salt and pepper and you'll have an amazing salad and veggie dressing that you'll never buy bottled dressing again. I always love buying gifts here too! read more

My favorite things I've had: - Asian Chicken Salad - awesome amazing protein-rich light lunch - House Venom - excellent sweet and high-caffeine coffee drink - Lox of Love Sandwich - this has been my favorite smoked salmon sandwich I've had - Lemon Chicken - they serve these once in a while and they're super good. All the baked items I've had have been great. Chocolate chip cookies were awesome, and specifically the strawberry whoopie pies are my go-to baked good if I'm looking for that. This is a cute shop on Main street. There is a lot of love here and I wish them the very best. This is the kind of shop I walk in, get excited and realize it has the exact thing many other places have; super organized shelving with some neat pastas and sauces and here, lots of oils and vinegars. There is a place in Chatham that has the same profile. I just don't really get super excited, once inside. There is a lot going on here. Things I love are here: chai, matcha, Kombucha and locally made treats. With that said, I found myself buying something to support the place. Maybe living on Cape Cod has ruined it for me. This review is not at all a reflection of their selection of olive oils and vinegars, but rather their food counter. I came here on a Wednesday with my cousins to grab a quick bite and check the place out. While I initially had a good impression of the place, that quickly went sour. I asked for a small vegetable naan pizza they had hanging out on the counter. They offered to heat it up for me, which I accepted. This was my mistake. I waited, and waited, and waited. At one point, my cousin got her tuna sandwich, which she had already been warned might be a while. It was at that point that I went back up to the counter to politely ask about my pizza. Some friends of the owner(s?) came in, and they spent some time chatting instead of addressing me. When I was finally addressed, I asked about my pizza. The girl in the kitchen admitted she forgot about it, and went and got it off the grill. I received no apology. We all make mistakes, its human to forget something now and then, but a simple apology goes a long way. When I got my pizza, the edges were so over-cooked that it was difficult to eat, but I was so hungry at this point that I just dealt with it. In terms of olive oils and vinegars, the selection seemed amazing, but if you're going to also serve food, do it right. TLDR; I waited ~20 minutes because they admittedly forgot about the small pizza they offered to heat up for me. Then they then served me overcooked pizza without thinking twice or offering an apology for forgetting about it in the first place. read more

EXCEPTIONAL!! This place is delicious. There are other oil & vinegar places but non compare to this one! This place gives you an education on how to use the oils & vinegars as well as recipes. They also do private events! I had one with 16 of my closest friends and the owner did a farm to table meal. Everyone was blown away. The meal included several of the products that you can purchase right there in the shop. I was able to purchase products that the owner used in our meal. There are no special ones behind the counter that is not available to everyone, like I read in a previous review. I have read a very long and inaccurate review written by someone who could not understand how the place works, and how to use these special and very healthy products. You can store these products for up to a year b/c they are tightly sealed, but more importantly, I've had more than three orders of these oil & vinegars sent to me b/c I use them in everything I make. Perhaps if people don't know how to use oil & vinegars and don't want an education on how to use them and there are too many options, they should just stick to getting ones at your local supermarket. This is such a cute little shop and café -- I had no idea it even existed until this summer! In addition to olive oils and vinegars, they also sell baked goods, honey, coffee and sandwiches. Who knew?! The space is set up like a fancy olive oil shop -- urns of oil and vinegar line the walls with descriptions and sampling accoutrements for every flavor. The center of the room has shelving with local honey, spices and books, and the back of the shop is where the food counter, register and kitchen are. I can see coming here to purchase a hostess gift or even too get something for myself -- the oils and vinegars range from highly-coveted Italian to fun flavors like Chipotle or even Butter. The best part is tasting them and pairing them with a vinegar for a nice little set. My only criticism is that no one approached me for assistance or to say hello. I've stopped in here twice now. Once when they first opened for an iced coffee (tasty) just to get the lay of the land. They were still trying to get a feel for things and the cashier seemed unsure of some of the items offered. What a difference when I stopped in a month ago. They have definitely hit their stride. They've really created a nice warm and welcoming space. I was short on time and wasn't able to spend as long checking things out as I would have liked. The young woman who helped me was super helpful. She quickly filled a bottle for me with the balsamic I love and when I mentioned I had flavors at home that I just wasn't sure what to do with, she made some really helpful suggestions. Everything in the prepared food case looked delicious and I grabbed a white bean and rosemary spread to take home. It was just as delicious as it looked. I have to say, I never really get these places. How much olive oil and balsamic vinegar can you taste? It has little oil and vinegar jugs up and down the walls with little spigots for you to easily sample in a little paper cup. It's expensive but maybe I am not a connoisseur. Where to begin? Wow. I'm a coffee lover and this place creates the most magical drinks. Even a simple ice/hot coffee tastes absolutely exquisite in comparison to any else. (I think they take verrrry good care of their coffee appliances/brewing machines and clean them more consistently than most.) Moving on to what else this place offers: food. Wonderful delicacies, delicious and healthy combinations or miniature chocolate fantasies. My personal favorite is their Thai chicken salad. Perhaps next visit I may try the kale salad. Today I noticed a peanut butter banana smoothie on the menu which caught my eye. Had I not just eaten, that would have been my choice! They have natural soaps, lotions etc by Olga Bobbi. Natural herb scents that alleviate stress and the like. Today I purchased a small container of the lavender chamomile body butter. A wonderful pairing of relaxing aromas. Awesome shop on Main Street in Warren. My wife and I met Maureen (the owner) and her son. They were both very warm, friendly, and knowledgeable about all the different oils, vinegars, etc on display. I loved the décor and the fact that they also have other products by other local start up businesses for sale. We purchased freshly brewed coffee along with a herb broccoli spinach scone and a flakey herb croissant. Both were to die for. Will definitely be coming back. Maybe I'll see you there. :) read more

I tried the Buffalo chicken sandwich and the roast beef panani are the best I have EVER had. I had a gift shipped to Florida while I was there and it was very well received. I just moved to the area and I've tried all the local spots for lunch and coffee. Nectar is by far my favorite! I believe customer service can make or break an experience. The owners and workers here make me feel welcome and wanted every time I come in, like I'm family. The best Cobb salad ever! Perfectly cooked hard boiled egg, tender chicken torn in bite sized bits, crispy bacon, halved golden cherry tomatoes, sliced cukes (with seeds removed), shredded cheese and a delicious vinagrette over fresh greens. Doesn't get any better. read more

Couldn't believe the selections of oils & vinegars. I purchased one oil w lemon seeing as I cook w lemon a lot. It tastes wonderful enough that I don't have to add lemon.
