Owner Bill Ronci and his wife Jean re-opened Impressed Olive 1 in 2019 from a pre-existing olive oil business. Bill previously owned a highly successfully food distribution company, is a former chef and graduate of Johnson & Wales. The business name has changed, but the commitment to quality products and excellent customer service remains the same. They specialize in Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oils and all natural Balsamic Vinegars. They also carry pestos, tapanades, pastas, stuffed and whole olives, Hot Sauces and much more! There's a chance to taste anything in the store....little spoons and paper cups are available for you to tap into the container and sample any of the olive oils or vinegars. For those who like spicy, they have products made with habaneros and jalapeños, for those who like fruity they have several choices, including a mango flavored oil and red raspberry vinegars. They also have a "25 year oil" infused in wood barrels for those who like a nice smoky flavor note. The owners are very friendly and engaging. Unique store. We went to Wickford for a bit today and ended up wandering in here. I've been to olive oil stores before but this had some tasty balsamic vinegars I haven't seen before. It's a bit pricey but everything I sampled was delicious. I bought a small ($9.99) bottle of the Chocolate Raspberry Balsamic as a gift for my parents, and my boyfriend bought a small Lemon Cucumber Balsamic bottle. My only suggestion would be to have some bread to dip the olive oils in - I've been in similar stores where I'm from (Michigan) and they had that. The employee (owner?) wrapped up our purchases very nicely - they're put in a paper gift bag with a bow and some other accoutrements - and then when she heard I planned on giving it as a gift, asked if I wanted it gift-wrapped. I said no thanks but was curious what else they'd add! Very cute store and I would stop by next time I'm in town. read more

Products still as good as ever, but not the same without Bill Ronci and his wife Jean. Bill would be sitting outside with his dog, chat, then come in and chat some more. His wife would join in - and buying olive oil there was an experience. The new young couple who own it are fine - maybe could be a bit more sociable (in this specialty type business, you need to be). Or maybe I just miss the Roncis. read more

This fun place has amazing selection of delicious exotic and different Balsalmics from around the world and unique olive oils. The owners are wonderful to chat with and love their products. Our favorites : Cask 10 - rich and sweet, Fig - sweet punchy and yum!, Cinnamon Peach - OMG fruit and spice but not too fruity, and ultimate Cask 50 (fifty year aged) - justq tiny bit speaks volumes of flavor. We visit from CT once a year to stock up. Wickford is a cute down for a couple hours of wandering. read more

Just visited The Impressed Olive and am already telling my family and friends to hit this place immediately. If you like to cook or not, it doesn't matter, this place is awesome. The quality of the oils makes you wonder how you could have gotten the grocery store brand and the dips, sauces and recipes are everything you would want to serve for guests but yourself too!
