This is going to be a must-go-to stop on my road trips from now on. Super-fresh ingredients, healthy food, and sincerely nice people? Yes, please! Driving from Florida to Vermont, I usually spend the night somewhere on I-81 in PA. From now on, it's gonna be near Nearme so I can come here for breakfast--and maybe catch a yoga class next door at Nearme Yoga. My husband had the Beet Buddha Bowl with an egg, over easy, on top. He was raving about it so much that my Spidey-sense told me he was looking to get into an argument about whose meal was better. So I wisely said little about how unbelievably amazing my straight-up Rainbowl Bowl was. So didn't mention how the subtle nuttiness of the perfectly cooked quinoa and the hummus made a nice base for the bright acidity of the balsamic glaze and fresh green notes of cucumbers and spring greens. Blueberries added a gentle sweet-tartness of their own, and it all worked together to highlight my favorite part, the indescribably beautiful red bell peppers. I also got the banana and peanut butter smoothie, sans bananas--I subbed in berries. It was like a delicious PB&J smoothie in my mouth. I was gonna save it for desert but it was so addictively good that I landed up drinking a third of it while I waited for the bowls. While waiting, I also got a greeting card and a travel Manduka EkoLite yoga mat (I had actually been shopping for one on line that morning!). They also had premium coffee, lip balm, cocoa, insulated cups, kitchen tea towels, and other fun stuff. In the yoga-studio part of the building, You can get Manduka and Liforme yoga mats and other yoga accoutrements as well as some clothes. Everything I looked at was, in my yoga-instructor experience, a quality brand. (I love Manduka mats--it's one of the only two brands I'll use.). The owner was so nice--she even invited me to try her personal Liforme mat! It was lovely, and I may add it as the third brand of yoga mat I would use.) I'm betting everything the owner sells and offers at NearMe is quality. Certainly everything we tasted and experienced here was--including the service. So if you're in the area, even for a moment, do your body a favor and stop by NearMe. Your body will thank you. read more

This was such a cute cafe to visit around 11 am for a healthy breakfast. I really enjoyed the açaí bowl while we were dining in. Inside the cafe, they have metal chairs and several tables. We had someone come up to us to take our order and then brought the food to us as well. Overall it was delicious, satisfying and very light to eat. All in all great tasting food! Attentive to special instructions which is always so important for me! My caprese salad was missing the basil, but luckily I have a little plant at home and grabbed a few leaves from there. Even without the basil it was still delicious, the balsamic reduction is awesome! Also, the presentation of the salad was honestly so pretty I didn't even notice the basil was missing at first! I got the turkey avocado wrap but didn't want the American cheese so I asked to sub extra avocado instead, and was very pleased to see that my request did not go unnoticed. The turkey is smoky and delicious, lots of lettuce on the wrap though even for my liking.. and I love extra lettuce. I would also like to mention the individually wrapped pickle spear, that shit is brilliant. Good looks there for sure guys! Nobody wants a soggy sandwich from that pickle knocking around. I didn't notice it at first because it was behind the wrap so it didn't make it into the photo unfortunately. If you look real hard at the picture you can see it wrapped up there though! The cold latte was good. I'm not a regular coffee drinker so I don't really have the taste to judge on that, but I definitely didn't dislike anything about it! The order also arrived waaaaay earlier than I was expecting. I was given a 12:30 delivery time and actual delivery time was around 12:05.
