I complained and escalated my service request specifically for Van Allen Plumbing, with whom I'd worked many times in the past. Martin arrived in less than 24 hrs and turned off hot water heater's main water and gas lines. He confirmed the 1992 unit was kaput and sent confirmation for a new hot water heater w/all code upgrades required to pass permit inspection. He drained the water heater and swept the standing water out of my garage to create a safe surface to walk on. This was very important, bc I'd just had a total hip replacement and was cautioned to avoid slippery surfaces. I'm happy to report Gabe and Roman installed a new water heater that passed City of Reno permit inspection in less time than it would've taken the other guys just come out to inspect the old one. Once again, Van Allen Plumbing came to the rescue, and I could not be happier!

(With a household of 6 the daily use of the washing machine, bathtubs, and dishwasher had to be carefully timed and even then we sometimes had to use water that wasn't the appropriate temperature; having hot water on demand has been a lifesaver during this season of raising young children). Dirty Plumber was quick to respond to my husband's quote request and the company was transparent with pricing. I really feel we got a good value and quality work. After the work was completed, I later saw the business owner volunteering at AWANAS (apparently he's a regular who volunteers every week with the kids); this gave me further confidence that the owner must be genuine guy who's speal about how he was able to offer the best price really could be trusted. I *WILL* say that had I been the one looking at quotes (rather than my husband) the name "Dirty Plumber" would not have necessarily deterred me but the ugly cartoon mascot painting on their company truck certainly may have! I would imagine oftentimes women are the ones who arrange their schedule to let the employee in to do the work and the "plumber's crack", actively smoking while working, disheveled grumpy looking mascot painted on their van didn't exactly paint a picture of professionalism, reliability, or safety. THANKFULLY, I felt the owner and employee who arrived to do the work were professional in their interactions, overall appearance, time on task, and attention to detail (the tankless water heater is installed evenly on my garage wall and the insulation on it looks neat and tidy). If you are considering switching to a tankless water heater I highly recommend Dirty Plumber. Their price is great, they are thorough, and the quality work is evident.

Tenants had standing sewer in their bathtub. Absolute's hydro-flusher was broken, they apologized and said they could help me until the next day. I wanted to be responsive to the tenants, so I called around and used a different plumber. The other company came out, flushed the line, and after charging me $700, said that flushing doesn't get rid of roots, suggested I run a camera down the line for an additional $300, and then they could see if the line should be snaked with a cutting tool for even more money. Not to post pricing, but Absolute never charges that much. No upselling. And they're great in troubleshooting and resolving the issue at hand. I told Absolute about my experience and Nick, their field guy, said that their hydro-flusher does indeed blast away roots, so he's not sure why the other company would have told me that.

Forest, the plumbing technician, was willing to briefly listen to our concern and he was able to fit us right into his schedule for that same day. He snaked both our toilets and replaced a wax ring on one of them and he didn't see any backflow in any of the bathtubs when he left, so we thought his work was done. That was until Tuesday morning when I drained the bathtub, it stopped draining and water started coming out of the toilet base. We called Forest and he was able to come over within 20 minutes. After snaking the sewer line again and requesting an expensive Hydro jet to blast anything out, we discovered there were river rocks down our sewer line. At this point, we decided to go with a different plumbing company who was willing to try and take the rocks out without having to dig up our lawn for $4,000! United did all that they could do and they were very prompt and reliable. Forest was amazing and he was very concerned with helping us out the best he could!

At the beginning of the pandemic, I messaged Paschall through Facebook and not only did they respond quickly but they also allowed me to send video and get a general idea for what we needed. We waited because at the time it wasn't urgent but after my mom broke her leg this February, we knew we could not put it off any longer. I called and got a quick appointment and Matthew showed up on time. He was pleasant and FAST. The job was done and done well, in about 15 minutes AND it came in under estimate. Everything was completed quickly and better than expected. I thought perhaps we would be left with a small hole or something but it looks better than the original shower head did in its place. I highly recommend and would use them again, hopefully with Matthew doing the job.

I finally called the office, only to be told that they don't call customers if they're going to be late. That policy alone was enough of a red flag for me. I had another appointment that day, so I canceled and didn't bother to reschedule.
