I have had the best experience with NCCPT. I have terrible lower back problems for which I am putting off surgery as long as possible. Kyle, my therapist, has worked with me to put together a program of exercises and stretching that have helped tremendously. I added dry needling to the mix, which has been a Godsend. Kyle seems to be able to find the exact location of knots and tension and to target them for release with perfect precision. I get much relief from him and this therapy. I have worked with other therapists as well. To a one, every staff member (clinical and administrative) is friendly, competent, funny, and a joy. I cannot recommend this practice enough. read more

I have had experience twice with NC Center for Physical Therapy. Both experiences were excellent. First, I had plantar Fasciitis a Podiatrist recommended surgery. I decided to give PT a try 1st, I was in pretty bad shape it took about 6 months of treatment but no surgery and no more pain. They did an excellent job 2nd incident the ball of both my feet had all numbness no feeling at all. I went back to NC Physical therapy three months later my feet are near normal. This is a great place for PT and to note the owner and the staff are extremely nice, respectful and knowledgeable. I would recommend them. read more

I turned to NCCPT prior to seeing my MD for knee rehab, from an unresolved pickleball injury (3 months). Everything from scheduling, billing, home program was top notch. I was able to keep up with my home program via a web-based portal which assisted me in remembering both my current and updated therapeutic exercises. My knee got better quickly and areas of weakness and imbalance were identified and targeted. When my knee just couldn't get past 90% pain-free, Misty recommended I see a MD/PA for a potential injection. She was RIGHT! That Misty didn't hesitate to refer me to another professional when deemed medically necessary impressed me. My knee has been 100% pain-free for 1 month now, and I am so grateful. read more

Dr. Laura was excellent. She is one of the best clinicians I have ever worked with. She was an excellent listener and was able to figure out what I needed to reduce my pain and increase my shoulder and neck mobility. I wish all my doctors were as good as her. On top of that, the staff was all really friendly, experienced, and efficient. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I rarely had to wait more than a few minutes. I never thought I'd say this... But I have full range of motion of my shoulders! Not without pain (yet), but I haven't been able to hardly use my shoulders at all for almost 11 years... I even did six months of physical therapy in 2012 with very little improvement. I was told I likely needed surgery and have been waiting to be able to afford it. I went to see the ortho this year and she wanted to try physical therapy one more time... I've been working on my shoulders for under a month and I can finally say that I will have full use of them soon!! When I went in, I could barely lift my arms straight out to the sides (I could *almost* do a t shape).. today I can go all the way up and touch my hands together! I can also go all the way up in front! It's completely amazing and I never thought I'd be able to use my arms completely again. For anyone near Durham.. NC Center for Physical Therapy is amazing. Misty and her team are the first PTs who've treated me as an individual instead of just another person with a new knee. Instead of rote, standard treatment, the exercises and modalities used at this practice vary based on my abilities and pain during a visit. I have been to NC Center for Physical Therapy a couple times and both experiences were great. For the most recent visit I worked with Kyle Edwards and he was awesome. He quickly found the reason for my hip pain and gave me several exercises to do at home. I also did several weeks in office and I always felt very safe from any Covid scares. I picked out this physical therapy center because it had the highest ratings online compared to other centers, and those ratings did not lie. When I first walked in, everyone who noticed me greeted me, which was a pattern that continued for every one of my appointments. You can feel and see the sincerely close relationships everyone who works there has with each other. It helped me feel comfortable to ask anyone a question about my form or progress. Colten was my physical therapist, and I recommend him to anyone. He's so knowledgeable and understanding, and always came up with new variations to make exercises fun and engaging, yet still effective for treatment. When I came in for appointments, it was never a dull moment. It didn't feel like an average, boring session of "great now I have to work out for 45 minutes so my back will hopefully stop hurting." I genuinely had fun at my appointments and was always excited to come every week to see friendly faces and learn new techniques to use in my own time to diminish my pain. And now that I have "graduated" from physical therapy and my pain has diminished, I feel grateful that I learned how to take care of my body and practice proper exercise form from Colten and the NC Center for Physical Therapy team. I have not a doubt in my mind about which physical therapy center I'll go to in the event I need physical therapy again. Duke Urgent Care referred me to PT at Triangle Orthopedics, but I opted to switch over to NC Center for PT instead. I'll admit, it was closer to my house, and it had better reviews, so I gave it a shot. I love that this is a small office, not a huge Duke/UNC conglomerate. That makes parking, appointments/scheduling, and personal attention so much better. The clinic has a wide variety of treatment methods. When stretching alone didn't work, they tried crystal ultrasound for my low back pain. When that worked temporarily, they moved on to traction, which worked even longer. They also use manual massage as needed and the combination or treatments was actually way more productive than I had anticipated from physical therapy, after a pretty unhelpful set of sessions from Triangle Orthopedics. I haven't had a PT at this clinic that wasn't amazing, and that says a lot, because I walked in with pretty low expectations for what PT could actually do for me. Misty even watched me get into my car and fake press the pedals to identify something I was doing with my posture and my hip that was at the root of my low back pain during driving. Even for the posture correcting advice alone, this place was worth it. Once you start coming in, you get the feel for how loyal their patients are, and how much the therapists actually care about them. They aren't even pushy about coming back if you're making progress. They really just want you to get better, and will even suggest alternative treatments such as acupuncture from local practitioners to supplement treatment, which is rare, and in my case, actually helped a lot. read more

Chelsea worked with me giving me exercises to improve my issues and it has worked beautifully. Just go here. Misty Pidgeon is skilled, full of integrity, committed, experienced, determined, and effective. When she starts with you, she's in it for the long run. She is pragmatic and honest. She inspires confidence in her manner, the way you see her interacting with her staff and other clients, and in her treatments. I've had chronic contracted muscles for years, and her massage plus dry needling (never thought I'd do that!) are giving me free motions in areas so tight I'd given up on them. She works with people to get their insurance to cover as much as possible, and, even without that, her prices are reasonable. I'll keep visiting her until I leave the area--she makes substantial progress each week and gives me good home exercises and stretches. read more

I've been to NC Center for PT for 2 unrelated injuries (hip and shoulder). Each time, the staff and therapy were top notch and professional. I had the pleasure of working with Katie, who carefully listened to my symptoms and skillfully confirmed the diagnoses with rigorous testing. Her treatment plans significantly reduced, if not completely eliminated the pain I was suffering from. Pro tip: If you want to get the most pain relief, do the homework assigned to you. Highly recommended! My daughter had a very difficult surgery on her hip (they surgically broke it and reset it). Misty was always knowledgable, pleasant and patient throughout the sessions. Her facility was always clean and the atmosphere was calm.
