I have had the best experience with NCCPT. I have terrible lower back problems for which I am putting off surgery as long as possible. Kyle, my therapist, has worked with me to put together a program of exercises and stretching that have helped tremendously. I added dry needling to the mix, which has been a Godsend. Kyle seems to be able to find the exact location of knots and tension and to target them for release with perfect precision. I get much relief from him and this therapy. I have worked with other therapists as well. To a one, every staff member (clinical and administrative) is friendly, competent, funny, and a joy. I cannot recommend this practice enough. read more

After a knee replacement I received PT @ NC Center for Physical Therapy. The entire experience was very positive. Having multiple mobility issues, My therapist Abbey worked diligently to improve not only My knee flexibility and strength but other areas in need of strengthening to insure I could be able to walk in a safe, sure manner. I enjoyed the genuine care and concern for My well-being. I found the entire staff to be caring ,respectful and knowledgeable. read more

I have had experience twice with NC Center for Physical Therapy. Both experiences were excellent. First, I had plantar Fasciitis a Podiatrist recommended surgery. I decided to give PT a try 1st, I was in pretty bad shape it took about 6 months of treatment but no surgery and no more pain. They did an excellent job 2nd incident the ball of both my feet had all numbness no feeling at all. I went back to NC Physical therapy three months later my feet are near normal. This is a great place for PT and to note the owner and the staff are extremely nice, respectful and knowledgeable. I would recommend them. read more

Dr Patel at NC Center for PT helped me identify the weakness causing my knee problems. The exercises he recommended strengthened my knee eliminating the pain and weakness. read more

What an awesome experience I had with the entire group at NC Center for Physical Therapy. Everyone was professional and treated me with kindness. I went there due to a softball injury with my knee. Because of them I'm ready for next season!! Thanks guys for getting me back to 100%! Keith read more

I turned to NCCPT prior to seeing my MD for knee rehab, from an unresolved pickleball injury (3 months). Everything from scheduling, billing, home program was top notch. I was able to keep up with my home program via a web-based portal which assisted me in remembering both my current and updated therapeutic exercises. My knee got better quickly and areas of weakness and imbalance were identified and targeted. When my knee just couldn't get past 90% pain-free, Misty recommended I see a MD/PA for a potential injection. She was RIGHT! That Misty didn't hesitate to refer me to another professional when deemed medically necessary impressed me. My knee has been 100% pain-free for 1 month now, and I am so grateful. read more

Dr. Laura was excellent. She is one of the best clinicians I have ever worked with. She was an excellent listener and was able to figure out what I needed to reduce my pain and increase my shoulder and neck mobility. I wish all my doctors were as good as her. On top of that, the staff was all really friendly, experienced, and efficient. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I rarely had to wait more than a few minutes. I highly recommend NC Center for Physical Therapy. read more

If you are looking for a PT in Durham, this is the place. A friend recommended it and I am grateful she did. They found a slot for appointment quite quickly and Abby guided me through the source of my issue and provided clear guidance what we would work on to improve. She provided excellent care and all the staff at the clinic were fantastic, and you will find a fun, inviting environment for your recovery. They checked with my insurance and were transparent about coverage. Give them a try! read more

From the moment I walked through the door, the staff was welcoming and helpful. While working with Kyle on post pregnancy back issues, he made sure I understood each exercise and didn't rush me at any point. There was also access to a great app for directions to do exercises at home. Overall, my experience was amazing and I appreciate the help to get me back to myself. read more

I never thought I'd say this... But I have full range of motion of my shoulders! Not without pain (yet), but I haven't been able to hardly use my shoulders at all for almost 11 years... I even did six months of physical therapy in 2012 with very little improvement. I was told I likely needed surgery and have been waiting to be able to afford it. I went to see the ortho this year and she wanted to try physical therapy one more time... I've been working on my shoulders for under a month and I can finally say that I will have full use of them soon!! When I went in, I could barely lift my arms straight out to the sides (I could *almost* do a t shape).. today I can go all the way up and touch my hands together! I can also go all the way up in front! It's completely amazing and I never thought I'd be able to use my arms completely again. For anyone near Durham.. NC Center for Physical Therapy is amazing. I keep tearing up when I talk about it.. eleven years.. finally!! read more

I've got a long history of joint problems and replacements, and have had years if physical therapy. Misty and her team are the first PTs who've treated me as an individual instead of just another person with a new knee. Instead of rote, standard treatment, the exercises and modalities used at this practice vary based on my abilities and pain during a visit. I've given them a 5 star review because they are far and away the best PTs I've ever had. read more

I have been to NC Center for Physical Therapy a couple times and both experiences were great. For the most recent visit I worked with Kyle Edwards and he was awesome. He quickly found the reason for my hip pain and gave me several exercises to do at home. I also did several weeks in office and I always felt very safe from any Covid scares. Each visit Kyle listened to how I was feeling, and made sure I was doing all of the exercises correctly. If I ever experience any type of pain again, I will certainly do my PT here. read more

I picked out this physical therapy center because it had the highest ratings online compared to other centers, and those ratings did not lie. When I first walked in, everyone who noticed me greeted me, which was a pattern that continued for every one of my appointments. You can feel and see the sincerely close relationships everyone who works there has with each other. It helped me feel comfortable to ask anyone a question about my form or progress. Colten was my physical therapist, and I recommend him to anyone. He's so knowledgeable and understanding, and always came up with new variations to make exercises fun and engaging, yet still effective for treatment. When I came in for appointments, it was never a dull moment. It didn't feel like an average, boring session of "great now I have to work out for 45 minutes so my back will hopefully stop hurting." I genuinely had fun at my appointments and was always excited to come every week to see friendly faces and learn new techniques to use in my own time to diminish my pain. And now that I have "graduated" from physical therapy and my pain has diminished, I feel grateful that I learned how to take care of my body and practice proper exercise form from Colten and the NC Center for Physical Therapy team. I have not a doubt in my mind about which physical therapy center I'll go to in the event I need physical therapy again. Thank you for reading and hope you make the right choice when seeking out a place for physical therapy. Sara read more

Duke Urgent Care referred me to PT at Triangle Orthopedics, but I opted to switch over to NC Center for PT instead. I'll admit, it was closer to my house, and it had better reviews, so I gave it a shot. I love that this is a small office, not a huge Duke/UNC conglomerate. That makes parking, appointments/scheduling, and personal attention so much better. The clinic has a wide variety of treatment methods. When stretching alone didn't work, they tried crystal ultrasound for my low back pain. When that worked temporarily, they moved on to traction, which worked even longer. They also use manual massage as needed and the combination or treatments was actually way more productive than I had anticipated from physical therapy, after a pretty unhelpful set of sessions from Triangle Orthopedics. I haven't had a PT at this clinic that wasn't amazing, and that says a lot, because I walked in with pretty low expectations for what PT could actually do for me. Misty even watched me get into my car and fake press the pedals to identify something I was doing with my posture and my hip that was at the root of my low back pain during driving. Even for the posture correcting advice alone, this place was worth it. Once you start coming in, you get the feel for how loyal their patients are, and how much the therapists actually care about them. They aren't even pushy about coming back if you're making progress. They really just want you to get better, and will even suggest alternative treatments such as acupuncture from local practitioners to supplement treatment, which is rare, and in my case, actually helped a lot. read more

After a pretty bad ankle break I could not stand or walk at all. The incredibly kind, knowledgable and attentive therapists here helped me get back on my feet again, and quickly, and now I am running, doing crossfit, dancing, and fencing. I am so thankful that they were there to help me. read more

My knee and shoulder were hurting, but I didn't think it was something a doctor could fix. NC Center for PT was able to see me without a Dr. Referral. Chelsea worked with me giving me exercises to improve my issues and it has worked beautifully. PT is the answer to so many aging joints and everyone at NC center for PT could not be nicer or more helpful. I can not recommend them enough read more

I had a great experience at NC Center for Physical Therapy! I worked with Chelsea and some students doing their rotations. Everyone was professional so kind and helpful I learned so much and feel so much stronger and able to maintain my stretching and strengthening so much better! Just go here. Misty Pidgeon is skilled, full of integrity, committed, experienced, determined, and effective. When she starts with you, she's in it for the long run. She is pragmatic and honest. She inspires confidence in her manner, the way you see her interacting with her staff and other clients, and in her treatments. I've had chronic contracted muscles for years, and her massage plus dry needling (never thought I'd do that!) are giving me free motions in areas so tight I'd given up on them. She works with people to get their insurance to cover as much as possible, and, even without that, her prices are reasonable. I'll keep visiting her until I leave the area--she makes substantial progress each week and gives me good home exercises and stretches. read more

Although I didn't actually get treated here, I would definitely recommend them based on my phone calls. They helped me tremendously in considering what path to take next. They were super nice on the phone, and really knew what they were talking about. read more

I've been to NC Center for PT for 2 unrelated injuries (hip and shoulder). Each time, the staff and therapy were top notch and professional. I had the pleasure of working with Katie, who carefully listened to my symptoms and skillfully confirmed the diagnoses with rigorous testing. Her treatment plans significantly reduced, if not completely eliminated the pain I was suffering from. Pro tip: If you want to get the most pain relief, do the homework assigned to you. Their cash prices are reasonable, and I never felt like I was being pressured into unnecessary follow up visits. I highly recommend this facility. read more

Highly recommended! My daughter had a very difficult surgery on her hip (they surgically broke it and reset it). Misty was always knowledgable, pleasant and patient throughout the sessions. Her facility was always clean and the atmosphere was calm. Her staff was always pleasant and even though my daughter is done with her therapy, we still stop by whenever we're in the area to say "hello!". Misty truly cares about her patients health and well being and I always recommend her to anyone I know seeking PT! read more

NC Center for PT is AWESOME! In the last 8 weeks, I completed a clinical rotation for PT school with Chelsea. In all of my experience, this is one of the best clinics I've ever been fortunate enough to be a part of. Every day, this staff goes above and beyond to deliver top quality PT to each of their patients. As soon as you walk in the door, you're greeted with a friendly, smiling face who calls you by name. You're PT listens, cares, and fully embraces your goals. If you're unsure where to pursue physical therapy, don't think twice - NC Center for PT is the right place for you. read more

Excellent knowledgeable and friendly staff. My pre-surgery physical therapy at NCCFPT definitely shortened my hospital stay after the transplant of a major organ (6 days) and it may have saved my life. Would definitely recommend. read more
