Luc Lac is a great spot if you're craving Vietnamese food! The decor is really fun, with neon…read morelights and a dragon that gives the place a cool, almost club-like vibe. It's definitely a nice spot for dinner. The service was great, and our food came out pretty quickly. You order at the counter first, and they give you a number to take to your table. There's complimentary water and utensils available on the side, which makes everything pretty convenient. You can also choose to sit inside, outside, or get your food to go. We ordered the pho with steak and brisket, and it was delicious! We also got the vermicelli with pork, which had a lot of flavor. The portions are pretty generous, so the vermicelli would be great to share. Overall, we had a great experience at Luc Lac. If you're craving Vietnamese food, I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Let me tell you, if they had this place in Seattle, it would be poppin' for sure. Loved the decor, and the service was amazing. We were a party of 8, and they did the most to get us seated. They even combined two tables for us without too much wait. We appreciated this so much! This is one of those places where you order at the counter, and they bring your food to your table, although they also seat you. So you wait in line to order, and then you wait a little longer to get a seat. The menu is on a huge, lit-up billboard behind the counter, so you'll see folks crowded in that area trying to read it. The food was alright, no one was particularly blown away. I got a pho, and I would say it was okay. I think you come here more for the vibe and scratching that craving than for out-of-this-world food/flavors. The music is good, the servers were all super friendly, and it's a great vibe. Fyi, there's mostly street parking.

I thought the food was amazing! Highly recommend the miso cod, Brussel sprouts, and ube creme…read morebrûlée. Service was also phenomenal--our water cups never got even halfway empty. The ambiance is great, especially after the sun set. Great spot for date. I do wish they had physical menus though. Both my partner and I had poor service and the menus took a while to load. Also kind of kills the vibe imo.

He walked us through different dishes, gave us recommendations and pairings, and you could tell he really wanted us to have a great experience. I was so happy with everything we ended up choosing. I started with the Evergreen, which was incredibly refreshing and paired beautifully with the sushi. I especially loved the little Japanese kiwi popping pearls, such a fun surprise! For sushi, we had the king salmon, spicy yellowtail, lobster rolls, and yuzu hamachi. The yuzu hamachi was one of my favorites, and everything came out looking almost too pretty to eat. And don't skip dessert! We had the Japanese matcha tiramisu, which was both beautiful and genuinely fun to eat. I'd definitely order it again. What makes me want to come back is the sheer variety. There's so much more than sushi--land and sea dishes, hot and cold plates, creative drinks, and a whole assortment of desserts. I already know there are several things I didn't get to try this time. The restaurant is definitely lively, with fairly loud music, but we could still talk comfortably across the table. Overall, it felt like one of those dinners where the food, atmosphere, and service all become part of the experience. I left already thinking about what I'd order next time, which is always a good sign.

ONE STAR?? Hilarious that i got on here and the entitled out of towners are on here giving a one…read morestar. I love obon. The udon noodles are heavenly. The broth is nourishing. The onigiri is art. And the service is always polite and professional. Always. I was physically at the restaurant the night these one star people were there. From what I could tell sitting at the bar and observing the ID in question, it looked fliiiimssy even from where I was sitting. I kinda get both sides ya know , sure one person in the group wants a drink w dinner but dude just tough it out and have your dinner. Instead they popped off and all started fussing and being entitled and it was just gross. I was enjoying a fantastic dinner but that table was like trying to take the stage. I think they ended up storming out and one girl like stomped off and said she was keeping her cup !! lol I worked in food a long time ago. And I've worked in cannabis under the watchful eye of the olcc so I'm on the servers side. Don't take chances and don't listen to these kids scramble for a secondary ID. Sketch. Go to obon. Get the Sando. Enjoy.

Brunch in Portland, Oregon…read more.. After I read reviews about Portland's Chinatown, I searched for a dimsum place outside of Chinatown and found Jade Rabbit I liked the name of the place and saw that they had two kinds of rabbit-shaped dimsum! Another cool thing is that their menu is vegan... that means that I don't have to worry about dairy products that give me pain. We found free street parking about a half a block away and waited for Jade Rabbit to open at 11am. We didn't have reservations, but we're seated immediately. The decor was great! I enjoyed looking at all of the Rabbit figurines! The furniture was colorful and the convenient restroom had interesting decorations, too! The service was okay. Some items were not available and our server recited the list that included chow funn. Shucks! She came back later and said that the chow funn was, in fact, available... yay! Our server seemed a bit nervous as her hand shook and placed the special menu upside-down... LOL! We won't bite you! She recommended the Ube Jam drink - it was made with coconut cream... yes! The chow funn was a bit bland. We added some soy sauce. The Puto Pao Bunny Bao had an unusual flavor - maybe the brown sugar can be omitted because the black garlic and vegan pork might be fine without it? The Jade Rabbit Dumplings also could be more savory. Something was off... and the filling was a bit sparse. Anyway, maybe we could have ordered better, but we got what we wanted! Thank you for the cute food! Note: 22 percent is added to the bill - so no need to tip.
