I was very impressed with the service I got from Nava Spa Repair. When I had a problem with my Hot Tub, I called several companies late at night expecting that I would get a call back the next day. Nova was the only one that called me back at 9 AM the next day, had a guy out by 11:30. They diagnosed the problem which was a pump that needed to be ordered. Two weeks later they called to say the pump was in and they came to install it. All of this was done for a very reasonable price and they were very clear throughout the process. The owner of the company, Rosalio, makes different promises than his employees. They said it was no problem to fix a leak on short notice, so call anytime and they will arrive within a day. Rosalio says it's their busy season now, and they can't come until OCTOBER! (This is FEBRUARY!). I should note this is the SECOND TIME Rosalio has dumped me. The last time he said, "It's too far to come to your house." Then when his business slowed down, it wasn't too far anymore, but just for a month. This is inconsistent and bad business for the long term. I am dissatisfied with Nava Spa Repair. It's important to have a business that shows loyalty to customers who have used their services for a decade or more. I called for service on a Friday morning, the owner said he would try and get a repairman there today or for sure Monday. He called back an hour later with a repairman 20 minutes away. I have used Nava Spa Repair 3 times: twice for different piping leaks and most recently for the replacement of the old insulated cover. I don't say this many times about home service/repair companies, but Nava is trustworthy, shows up when they say they will, they fix the problem, they are reasonable on their hourly charges (e.g. if they spent 50 minutes, they will only charge you for 45 instead of 60) and do whatever they can to satisfy you as a customer. Alex came out right away, and he diagnosed that spa leak and fixed it so fast that it made my head spin. Alex was so smart and thoughtful, and he gave me all kinds of additional useful information about things to watch for in the future. Plus, very reasonable price. Our problem turned out to be an air injection tube with a weak seal that was riding too low, back-filling, and siphoning out the spa. So maybe that was an easy fix. We called for a spa repair ( a leak we couldn't see except for the lowered level in the spa) as soon as we noticed it, on Friday afternoon just before closing. We got a call back first thing Monday morning, and an appointment for first thing Tuesday morning. They showed up within five minutes of their scheduled appointment time, seemed very courteous and professional, and got to work right away. They found the leak ( I still hadn't) immediately, removed an outer panel for access, verified the leak, reduced the water level to below the leak, and repaired it with epoxy. The entire seam around the filter basket had failed. Alex, the repair tech, finished the repair, cleaned up the area so one didn't even notice he had been there, gave us the bill for exactly what we were quoted, and departed. This is exactly the way a customer likes a repair to go. And now Nava is our go-to spa repair business. I would give more than five stars if I could! read more

HORRIBLE experience with Nava Spa Repair!! They replaced our hot tub heater and as a result caused a leak in our hot tub. Following this "repair" they were unreachable for close to 2 weeks, after multiple phone calls and voicemails left with the owner. Owner claims that they were unresponsive due to vacation, but it is unacceptable to leave a customer with an issue that they caused for two weeks without any response. Our entire hot tub was leaking out completely multiple times over the course of those two weeks. After which we had to get another company to complete the repair and confirm that the issue was in fact caused by the prior heater "repair". The Owner's attitude was very poor. No interest in doing the right thing by the customer or taking accountability for the issue that they caused. I would not recommend any one do business with this company, or risk them introducing new issues as part of their work, which they will not take accountability for. read more

I've called Nava spa in the past about my Sundance spa and Rosalio and Alex always took the time to answer my question and give me honest advice. Usually I could fix on my own like installing new power cord. This time tub was tripping the breaker when the heater kicked on. Great all around experience. When I screwed up and forgot the appt. they were kind enough to call me at work and waited 15 mins for me to arrive. When they returned with the part to complete the repair I wasn't home. I got home to check things they had even cleaned my tub so all I had to do was fill it up again. Great service. First, I want to say that I think Nava probably does a good job of repairing spas and he is quick to return calls. My concern with them is their price for a visit I had with them. Rosolio called me at the last minute last Friday to see if his brother/repairman, Alex, could stop by as he had finished all his service calls in Petaluma early. I said sure. Alex stopped by, and in 1 minute told me that the problem was the air valve lever was turned down. For this I was charged $125 (negotiated down from $145). I just think that that charge was too much for a very short visit (it took longer for Alex to write up the bill than it did for him to diagnose problem), and being that I was a last-minute stop, I would have hoped to have the fee halved. I did call Rosolio afterwards to let him know how I felt but I never heard back from him. I do understand that businesses have fees and have to make money, but this just felt like gouging. seriously? WE called to say our hot tub was not working and we smelled plastic burning. He said it would be 135 dollars to come out. The tech came out and said they can't fix it as the wire that burnt was from the hot tub to the branch circuit for the hot tub, and we need to call an electrician. Still charged the full fee of 135 dollars to tell us that. Owner refused to waive or lower the fee. that lack of flexibility or concern for our business cost him our business for years to come. read more
