Two of us were here to shop as one of my friends wanted a polo shirt from this brand. And they did have some on sale for $24.99. Good deals. We picked our stuff and waited in line to check out. There was only one staff doing the check out. 3 more staff were around. Two more customers were waiting in line other than two of us. I didn't understand why they didn't add one person to do the cash registry. They were folding stuff, taking the trash out, and arranging hangers. So I asked if they are closing a since it was sure looking that way. The answer was no. They won't be closing till one hour later. Then why we were all waiting for the single person doing the checkout? The single checkout staff was not in a great mood. There was no greeting or chatting. The only sentence he said to me was "swipe your card Now." no please, no could. Just a very simple command. Yes, sir. I shall swipe my card now. Very friendly staff and excellent deals! Their Black Friday sale started today, so my mom and I were on a mission to find some clothes at a reasonable price. We had some trouble finding sizes but everyone was super willing to help us. We noticed there was a coupon deal after we purchased our items, but they were super cool about returning and repurchasing one of our items with the coupon, which was fabulous. Always a pleasure coming here because we always find something at a great price! I would definitely say that this is one of the few stores that is actually worth coming to for the good outlet-price deals. A lot of other stores at the Aurora Outlets are still very overpriced. read more

I had kind of a bizarre shopping experience here. I came in to look at dress shirts. A woman working at the counter beamed and nearly yelled in the manner that some misguided persons in the service industry take for good customer service. "HI SIR, HOW ARE YOU DOING TODAY?!! WHAT CAN WE HELP YOU FIND?" After I found the dress shirts, I stepped outside to take a phone call. Ooh, bad move. Because as soon as I came back inside, I got that shrill hospitality right away. "BACK ALREADY, EH? OK!!!" This is not how you greet a man shopping in a store being patronized almost entirely by women. I'm just trying to get my shirts and get out, alright? Please don't scream at me in either happiness or anger or any other emotion. After I'd tried on my shirts, we got matched up again at the register. "FIND EVERYTHING OK? GOOOOOD!!" This is always a dumb question. I was looking for dress shirts, not the Holy goddamned Grail. "JUST THE ONE SHIRT THEN, HUH? OOOOOKK!" No, I also picked up a few items from the new Nautica invisible line, so be sure you scan them! Lady, you're scarin' me! The next question really irritated me. This is worth noting, because I have pretty good patience with most people. "WHO HELPED YOU OUT HERE TODAY?" Well, no one really helped me, because I found the shirts and tried them on all by my big boy self. Apparently she wanted to know the name of the employee who'd unlocked a changing room door for me. I had to point him out, because you know what? Certain people's names in certain circumstances are really not important. If the person gets commission for something like that, fine. But it seemed more like the product of some weird customer service requirements the management wanted to track, and I didn't care for my forced involvement in it. This experience superseded the awkwardness of the deli counter people at Jewel who introduce themselves after they call out your number. They're nice folks, but I do not need to know the names of the people slicing a pound of turkey for me. It's a 60-second business transaction; we're not going to be friends or anything. read more
