This natural grocers is near our home and I pop in here and there for specialty items and hygiene products. The store is extremely clean and smells wonderful upon entering. This staff has always been friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety of food and various cleaning products, pet food, hygiene, products, supplements, and other items. I would say the only negative is that they are definitely higher priced and that is why I only go there for specific items. read more

Very first visit while venturing in during an event hosted within the 'Kitchen' community education room. The store was well organized and was definitely stocked up on a wide variety of products and food items. My review was mainly made from my event held by the store health coach, Henley. He was gracious enough to host a girl scouts group of first graders. He taught our class about the importance of a balanced diet, how food affects the body, and the and the importance of consuming a 'rainbow' of colored foods. He was fantastic at teaching at a first grade level and keeping their attention. We even finished the class by making fruit and veggies kabobs. For a free class helping support the local community, Natural Grocers did a fantastic job! read more

If I could give zero stars I would as I've been a customer for years, and over $5.00 I will never set foot in the store again. This has to do with corporate "sales and promotions". I put that in quotes as in order to take advantage of a promotion you have to be a genius to figure out what you are supposed to do; and in order to take advantage of a sale --- well, you cannot because the shelves are empty. Additionally, you have to constantly get into the app and clip discounts and also earned credits, as nothing is automatically applied to your account. The local store could not take care of my issue, directing me to corporate. When corporate called back (you get an answering machine when you call), she could not tell me the answer to a SIMPLE question. When I tried to get somewhere, she hung up on me. read more

First visit and I really liked it. I'm not a person that worries much about buying organic or stuff like that, but I do prefer smaller stores so I already know I'll be shopping here a lot. I'd much rather run in here for groceries than a huge store. I just needed some veggies today and got what I wanted and didn't spend any more than I feel like I would have spent at another store anyway. I'll be back soon for some more serious shopping. My only negative observation so far is that they leave some of their stocking items blocking the walkways. I don't get. First time here but not first time eating the food from here. This is the smallest store ever. Tiny produce section and they didn't have the two items I was looking for plantains and beets. Then went to the dairy section and thy are way higher in price than Whole foods and Sprouts. They also only had lactose free milk in quarts for as much as I pay for a 1/2 gallon other places. The protein powder I use was $12.00 higher here than Sprouts. I have had some of their raw vegan cheese cake a friend bought me, not impressed, will not be back. read more

They are a great little store in OLATHE KANSAS with all the essentials. I was surprised at how great their selection on organic food was. I spent over $170 there and got everything I usually have to go to Trader Joe's to get, and Natural Grocers had it all for the same or less money. Love this place. Friendly staff, great vitamins and probiotics. I will make these guys my go-to for organics, they are better than Whole Foods on a lot of items. read more

Although the produce selection is not the best here (poor selection and often poor quality/wilty), they have great prices on most pantry items (canned goods, condiments, kombucha, etc). They also have the best prices in town for pastures eggs if you're a "member" (its free). They have a wide variety of supplements, which are more affordable than other health stores, but not always as low as prices on Amazon. I regularly come here for pastured eggs, kombucha and kefir yogurt, as well as any canned items I need (great prices on coconut aminos, tahini, baking items, etc). It's hardly ever crowded, which is a plus for me. read more

I love this store. I can understand why it is a little "misunderstood" by several reviewers and first-time customers. Yes, it is small. That is GOOD. Why do we have to have the Sam's Club experience with everything?? This is not a one-stop shop, to be sure. I frequent this store for bulk foods like spices, beans, nuts and snacks. As far as price goes, you have to compare apples to apples and shop the specials if that is your #1 concern. I would challenge anyone to find spices at Whole Foods or Sprouts for these prices. I have also found many of my vitamins at Natural Grocers to be cheaper than I can get them ONLINE. That's kind of unheard of, right? My only disappointments with the store are the produce selection and sometimes very slow check out. The employees can be pretty quirky, but that's my entertainment for the day. Anyway, thanks Natural Grocers, for putting a location in Shawnee. I can now get my hard-to-find products right down the street!!! read more

When you shop at natural grocers you know you are getting quality products. Almost all the groceries items are sourced with non gmo ingredients. The dairy standards are above any other with pasture raised cattle and treated humanely on small farms not factories, same goes for their beef, pork and poultry. They do preorders for turkeys from the same farm as their chicken, raised on pasture, non gmo, no antibiotics, preservatives, or added hormones and they come to the store fresh, never frozen! The produce is all 100% organic and they only order enough to get through to the next truck so it is always fresh and full. read more

I like the fact that I no longer have to go to 95th & Metcalf when I just need to pick up a few healthier options! The store is a little smaller than Whole foods, but if I am in need of something it is much closer! They do have quite a bit packed into a tiny store. Lots of fresh organic produce, vitamins, and free range meat. We signed up and now get their newsletter. I will definitely be back! read more

I've been here twice and really like the cleaniness of the store and friendly staff. The aisles are a little confusing and I do find it strange the body soaps and beauty items are on the other side of the store not with the vitamins or lotions. the aisles are large and can easily get around people. Very important. If I feel cramped in i will not return. I stick to the outside aisles and try not to stray from the list. Regardless i do spend close to $80 dollars whenever I go. But I think it is worth it cause I am buying quality organic good food and it I am adding to my pantry since I really didnt have much food in my home anyway. So When I return I probably will only buy staples: eggs, uncured bacon, yogurt and nuts. I really like there is a guy walking around ( he is also stocking.. maybe he is the manager or gm or something) but he always pays attention to people in the store and ask if he can help you find something. Maybe it is because I usually look confused! I will go back. I have to remember to bring my natural grocer sack. I forget and buy a new one. yes i purposely drive to this store cause I like it much better than the other store in midtown. This store has better quality and better prices. read more

I will say the cashier was friendly but there was this other snob chick walking around in a huff, didn't smile, acted annoyed when I couldn't find something. I didn't have my glasses on and I couldn't read very well. I wanted to say something but I felt like she would have thrown me attitude anyway. They continually charge more at the register than the price indicated on the shelf. This has happened on the vast majority of my visits here; I have complained to a manager each time and finally filed a complaint with the Johnson County District Attorney. I think this has happened too many times for it to be honest mistakes, although they have always adjusted the price for me to what was indicated on the shelf. If you shop here, keep a close eye on the price tag on the shelf and make sure they don't charge you more at checkout! read more

I visited the new store because they mailed out a 10 dollar coupon for people in the area to try it out. I have never been to a Natural Grocer and was glad to see one in the area and give it a try. Maybe this would be a good alternative to Whole Foods? It was a Sunday and I planned to use the promotion to find a healthy snack to bring to work for St. Patricks Day. I picked out some apples (for work) and bath soup (for myself). After choosing these items that I NEEDED for the time being, I continued to browse around to see what the store offered for future visits. The store has unique items and appears to be a fair price compared to Whole Foods. However, when I got to the register to check out, my experience turned for the worse. The cashier asked me if I "was too tired to buy anything else?" I responded by telling her "this was all I needed today. I will be back when there is something else I need to buy. I enjoyed looking around and saw things that I will be back for when the need is there." She responded by saying "There is some Vitamin D on sale- if you are tired." I turned to look at the Vitamin D pills she was showcasing and noticed they were 29 dollars. I simply reminded her again, I do not need to buy that. Meanwhile, we are waiting for the Manager to type in his code for the coupon I was mailed for the promotion to generate positive experiences in the new store. When the Manager arrives she says to him in front of a line behind me "Can you please validate this coupon with your code. This young lady is too tired to buy anything else." Third times a charm. I wont be back. Too tired. I will stick with HyVee- better customer service and prices. read more

Natural Grocers is the perfect grocery store for me. It has everything I need without the deli, bakery, coffee shop and massive crowds. When I want an item that isn't stocked, it is ordered for me. If there are more than 2 customers awaiting checkout, the cashier calls for another. Over and over this store proves it's customer service is the best. read more
