Preface: EXPENSIVE & SLOW Food: amazing. I didn't expect such an experience with airport food. Especially just a soup but DAMN. If you think you want soup GET IT. read more

That avocado toast hunny!! Warmed bread, with what tasted like prepackaged avocado spread from somewhere like the 99 Cents Only Store! Bland bland bland bland bland! Someone call Gordon Ramsey on Nyesha! $20.00... not the ticket The corn chowder tho! 5 stars! read more

Well, I thought, it's an airport restaurant so I wasn't expecting much. Seemed that many folks got a burger and fries, which actually looked good if one does burgers and fries, which I don't. I ordered a gin and tonic which was just OK, I think the tonic was not quite to my liking. I ordered their wedge salad with green goddess dressing and wow, was it good! If I had it in a fancy, non-airport restaurant it would've also been terrific. Didn't get anything on it (chicken and extra $12 and salmon and extra (whoa!) $25) But I was just blown away by that salad and being a salad lover, I am particular about salad! The service was great and I could tell that the workers put effort in. read more

The Food was really good! I ordered and Lamb and it was great, tender, tasty. The drinks were great too, very well balanced and the bartender (Gerry) was really nice too and great Service! read more

Native - Whiskey Sour - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Los Angeles, California

See all

We were happy with the food - avocado toast w/smoked sturgeon, tacos and short ribs, which were all tasteful. However I really disliked the 18% tip which was added to the bill automatically. And then when you sign the CC receipt they ask you for additional tip...:: roll eyes :: read more

Terrible service please do not come here if you are waiting around in the airport. I knew coming here was not going to be the best quality service but as a delta flyer this was the only thing in this terminal that had "real" meals. The woman who was at the front ignored me for 10+ min without even acknowledging me- mind you there was no on in front of me. Every encounter I had with each individual was beyond terrible. If possible avoid this place. read more

These bad reviews are hilarious!!! People thinking they can get seated and served in record time, especially if flights are cancelled or delayed. This restaurant gets truly bombarded because they work with the staff they need for "normal" days. All I can say is that if you're in or near Terminal 3 at LAX, make sure you hit this place up. I don't usually eat sandwiches (too much bread), but the chicken sandwich was recommended and so glad I went with it. Food and drinks were great along with awesome service. Just be patient and don't be a d***. read more

i had a beet salad with chicken and a sparkling water for $45. the chicken was mangled - like not sure if i got the intestines and rectum of the chicken - definitely not chicken breast. so incredibly overpriced. the waitress also complained about my being one person eating alone AT THE AIRPORT and taking up a 4-person table WHICH THEY SAT ME AT. then when i checked out, she didn't give me an itemized reciept, conveniently, until after i'd applied a tip, when i found out they have an AUTOMATIC GRATUITY of 18% for this terrible food and service for one person. just take note of the automatic gratuity - great if you want to add after a great experience, but for me, 18% would have been more than plenty. read more

Service was incredibly slow. Despite being seated 35+ minutes before my boarding time I wasn't able to get my $26 chicken sandwich in time because the waiter spent a long time getting my order. As an experienced flyer I even paid for the order upfront so I could rush in eating a bite or two before having to leave, but the food never came out in time and a customer who came in after me was able to get their food before mine. Please expedite the service. One star. read more

WTF is this place? Weirdest menu I have ever seen. Charcuterie and Olives alongside Asian fusion is a perfect combination. Cocktails, $17, sure that is fine...no price on beers...I wonder why. Okay, I'll get a beer. Turns out they are $14 each with added 18% gratuity even with garbage service. Vibe is good but will NEVER go back to this dumpster fire. read more

The best airport food in the U.S. I can remember! The duck bean soup with veggies in a tagline was absolutely delicious. A little too beans for a transcon flight but what the heck I really enjoyed it. My wife had the curry cauliflower also very tasty. read more

Tanya our bartender made a stressful day so much less stressful- she is kind, respectful of people and truly entertaining. She befriended me and my daughter. We had a great experience while we waited for our delayed flight. It's people like Tanya that make travel more enjoyable. Please let Tanya know we appreciate her!! read more

Decent food however charged us 10$ more for items they offered us that were not priced on the Menue

The service is absolutely atrocious. My waitress will find me 10 times. I went to the bar. They wouldn't wait on me so I had to flag down a waitress in my mimosa came in a dirty glass. Absolutely not never again thank you for the one waitress that did work with me. read more

Confused upon arrival because it wasn't clear whether I should seat myself or not (a sign to tell you one way or the other would be nice). Asked a server, who shrugged and said "I guess so. We don't seem to have a hostess." Whether that was the norm or not, I couldn't tell. Was a bit shocked at the prices, even for an airport. You'd have to set up a payment plan if you wanted any dish with salmon. Settled for the burger for $27. No prices shown for the beer, but they had cocktails in the $14-$15 range, so I (erroneously) guessed a pint of draft lager would probably be $10. Found out when I got the check that it was $14. The burger was ridiculously huge. It was delicious, but it was a double burger... far too much for one person to eat by themselves. The accompanying potato wedges were also delicious, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside but again, far too much for one person. I ate one of the burger patties, ditched most of the roll, and ate about half the potato wedges (and I have a pretty good appetite). What a waste of food! Bottom line is that this place could cut the portions in about half, reduce the food prices by 40% and make people a lot happier. The amount of food they must throw away is sinful. Also, the beer prices are downright ridiculous and should be listed on the menu. With the 18% automatic "gratuity" (when it's automatic, that's a service charge, not a gratuity), my check came to $52.32 for a burger and a pint of beer, with about half the food being thrown away. read more

I don't usually go out of my way to leave reviews but this was by far the worst airport food I've ever had, which says a lot since the airport food bar is not that high to begin with. The beet salad I ordered had 5 pieces of beets which were extremely soggy and no additional ingredients other than that. The chicken I ordered on top was such bad quality that it was mostly fat and the parts that weren't you could barely chew. Do not eat here. To top it off they add an automatic 18% gratuity on take out orders that is not listed on the receipt. read more

Price is insane, even by LAX standards ($27 for a mediocre burger?). What makes this place standout is the amazing service, Nat R (Asian guy with glasses?) was an excellent server, I would say maybe the best I've had in years. 11/10 service. Kept refilling my water the moment it was empty, among other things. read more

Let me start by saying that I cannot write a review about the food because I didn't eat there I only had drinks! While waiting our flight out we decided to have a couple cocktails After finishing my 2 drinks and my other half finishing his 2 beers we asked for the check Upon looking over the Check snd to our surprise the bill came out to a whopping 79.00 dollars. And on the bill it asked for additional tip. Yup, additional tip!! They added an automatic 18% onto our bill. I think tipping % is a choice. We asked our waitress what was the additional charge for she told us it's printed on the menu we reminded her that we didn't look at the menu because once again we only had DRINKS!!! We then asked to speak to a manager her reply to was there wasn't a manager on cite. I altered the bill to MY satisfaction leaving a modest tip for our server. I later checked my account and to my dis-satisfaction the 79.00 dollars I disagreed with was deducted from my account. I strongly disagree with restaurants forcing me into tipping large percentages without my permission. I have called several times to no avail I need some from this restaurant to reach out to me Denise read more

Went to this bar with a few friends before our flight. A shorter nearly bald Hispanic gentleman told us we had to move from the bar to a table since we didn't have enough seats. We were okay with that. We asked if they could transfer our tab to the dining room and he said yes. Once we arrived in the dining room a caucasion female told us that we were not allowed to eat in the dining room unless we were ordering food ... we were fine with that ... once we went to sit down the lady then said that we couldn't sit in her section at all because we started a tab at the bar. I pointed to the Hispanic gentleman that told us to move to the dining room and he then responded to her "I already told them it's not allowed but I'll transfer the tab over". I then stood for about 5 minutes with my beer I. My hand because I was unsure where I was allowed to sit. Seriously? All of this just for drinks and an appetizer? I took my beer back to the African American bartender (the only one with sense) and told him I didn't want it because I didn't like the way I was treated. I then walked to another bar and received better service. read more

Native - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Los Angeles, California

If I could give negative stars I would. This is a customer service industry. We were seated for over 18 minutes before we were ever greeted. Our water glasses went dry several times. The food is overrated and overpriced even for airport food. The burger was hot, which is the best thing I can say. Watch your receipts! They attempted to add 18% gratuity directly to my check. When I questioned it, the waitress implied our wait was due to us being one of her first tables, and the automatic gratuity was a business practice. I asked for it to be removed. I tip based on the service I receive. She had no personality and behaved as if serving us was an inconvenience to her time. We travel several times a month through LAX, I will not be returning to Native! read more

This place is a disgrace. The complete disregard for the customer experience is blatant. Diners/travelers are flat out ignored without the presence of mind that they are operating in an airport with time constraints. Service is slower than a snail's pace and they could not give a fuck less. Automatic gratuity has made these clowns selfish, lazy, and unprofessional. Good luck! read more

This wonderful restaurant had, hands down, the best avocado toast with a delightful salad atop of it. Wow. The curry potato soup was so above what one would expect from an airport restaurant. The best part of our experience was this beautiful, engaging waitress/hostess named Uneeda. Yep you heard me right. She is the embodiment of saviour fairre and knows how to make everyone feel special. Quite hot too... read more

Overpriced water down drinks. Two bloody Mary's and two double shots of titos Vodka comes to $155. Total rip off. $14 dollars for a shot of titos Vodka when you can buy the while bottle for 18 bucks. Service is sub par but you have to pay mandatory tips and then the receipt asks of you want to add a tip on top of that. I guess you can get away with it of you're the only bar in the terminal. read more

Food was good, however alcohol prices are not on the menu. You will pay $15-17 for wine and the beer I ordered was $24 for a pint. Are you embarrassed to tell diners what you charge for alcohol. If not you should be. read more

Wedge salad was bad. Didn't have key ingredients in a typical wedge salad like bacon and blue cheese. They also have poor customer service with a 18% gratuity rate. Not to mention the fact that the prices were crazy! Although the atmosphere was pretty decent and a good spot to chat at the airport but don't eat here. read more

How did 1 Old Fashioned get to be $26.78 (before tip), when it was listed as something like $16? These bartenders are running a scam. Beware. read more

Awful service. Lots employees but no direction. Talk to the manager and she had no idea what she was doing. Drinks were warm because sitting at the bar to long. Very expensive! Should of went to HomeBoy Bakery across the way. I would not waste my time at this restaurant. read more

Utterly disorganized. The lackadaisical hostess repeatedly disappears into the back for several minutes at a time while a lineup of people wait to be seated. Lots of tables apparently open. Saved only by an attentive waiter. Once seated wait service was timely. Food was good. Salvadore was awesome. read more

I was disappointed that they don't serve 21 year olds. I came to the airport with my 22 year old son at 10:30pm. The server told us the kitchen was closed and that they only served drinks at that time and that my son could not sit at the bar. She didn't ask how old he was so I just assumed the airport didnt serve 21+ and had a different age limit. We ended up at SlapFish and had an amazing server who properly ID'd my son and he and I were able to have a drink and a snack. Highly recommend them. If you look young, be aware, Native will not ID you, they will just say you can't stay. read more

Food is good, but limited in options and expensive. Service is not good. They forget things and require reminding. The worst part was they charge 18% gratuity for crap service. Eat elsewhere. read more

Literally worst food options in an airport ever. Bizarre menu with nothing remotely normal or easy. Why can't they just offer a salad, some appetizers, or more veggie friendly options? Trying way, way too hard and no one wants something bizarre and heavy before flying. The wine list is decent and service was good which is why they get 2 stars. Unfortunately terminal 3 options suck, as usual. read more

The prices are ABSOLUTELY outrageous ($50 for TWO drinks with a very light pour). Everyone had an attitude and my fiancé and I were ignored as soon as we told the waitress we didn't want food only drinks. So disappointed. read more

Review is focused on the service, specifically as a solo traveler eating at the bar. I'm not one for writing reviews, but I was served by Caryn (sp?) at the bar at Native this evening and she was so fun to chat with (and listen to other customers do the same with) that I felt compelled to do so. I came in exhausted from a day of work and dreading another several hours of travel, and left feeling re-energized from her vibes as well as the obviously freshly made food (Korean chicken sandwich) and drinks. Thank you! read more

I cannot give a food review because we didn't get the chance to even put an order in. Our flight had been delayed so we walked to Native to pass some time until our boarding. We were seated and after waited over 20min just for an initial server greeting while other tables all around us that came in both before and after we did were able to put in and receive drink orders. I understand it can get busy being in an airport setting but this lack of service was unacceptable. read more
