8oz Filet Mignon + Mashed Potatoes (Loaded)
Shilo B.

Getting seated here was quick and easy. Service from the host, to our waiter, and even the food runner was top notch! Food came out quick and the quality does match pricing. The waiter table touched many times, and the food runner was both helpful and personable. The 8oz Filet Mignon was perfect; I ordered mine Medium Rare. Sides could definitely be shareable, as the servings are huge. I got the garlic mashed potatoes and had them "fully loaded." I can definitely appreciate the serving sizes and fresh ingredients. The night here ended up Aqua Panna bottled water, which was the perfect ending. This place definitely keeps up the Marriott family standards!

Was in the LAX area for a three day workshop and was looking for a good steak without having to drive very far. Yelp led me to the JW steakhouse in the Marriott. Actually I've never been inside the Marriott but use their airport parking service sometimes. The lobby was busy - there was some sort of convention going on, but luckily I was able to get a table on short notice. I got the porterhouse and it was a little on the small side, but it was prime beef, and it tasted great. Service is excellent and I had a great experience. I would go back if I ever find myself staying in the LAX area again.

Made a reservations and seated promptly. Friendly server dude. Had the crab cake which was tasty and a good small starter for 2. My wife had the fillet cooked medium and she said it was perfectly cooked and tasty. I had the bone in rib eye, supposed to be Medium rare but came out medium. Tasted ok but needed a good dose of salt. The peppercorn and bearnaise sauce weren't bad but could definitely use more flavor for my liking. The cut of meat wasn't the most tender but for $80 in an airport hotel steakhouse it's fair. I would suggest better steak knives as I should have to muscle and saw the steak. Mushroom, creamed spinach and garlic mash were good size but again could use a little more flavor. All in all ok for a steakhouse in a Marriott. Wine is pretty expensive at $28 a glass on average. Expect to spend $100-$150 per person. Also make sure you get your parking ticket validated if you're just there for a few hours cos it saved me $40.

Lobster Bisque and Filet mignon are my favorites at this LAX convenient family friendly fine dining establishment. Request Andrea as your server as she is amazing. Booths are spacious and comfortable. Nice wine list and attention to details

Absolutely enjoyed this restaurant, definitely make a reservation. I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing it was, especially for a restaurant located inside a Marriott (no shade!). The steak was cooked perfectly, and the customer service was outstanding. A great dining experience all around.

Celebrated my ex husband's birthday this year at JW Steakhouse and our first time checking it out. The food was amazing and the service was pure excellence! The ambiance is so elegant and there is plenty of parking available. It was a really good place for a celebration. We enjoyed the dinner and they give you large quantity of food so you would not leave hungry. Also - they treated us to a super special dessert which we shared as it was HUGE (see photo)! Absolutely delicious and Willie our server was the best! We will be back.

What a disappointment. The last time I stayed at this hotel and ate at this restaurant it was a wonderful meal. This time it fell grossly short of that. The seafood boulliabaisse was so very disappointing. The tomato base was tasteless. No seasoning at all so much so our server was bringing us spices to help with the taste. It tasted like tomato sauce from a can. Very bland. So much so I did not make it through half of the dish before I gave up. The two good things we had were the short rib and the bread pudding. It was a big disappointment to get home and realize that they did not give us all of the food that what was on the short rib plate. We did not expect anything for free but to be told because the boulliabaisse was poor they were not charging us for the coffee and bread sticks which I was unaware we had to pay for the bread at the beginning of our meal. Next time I cannot see eating at this restaurant when I stay at this Marriott. What a drastic difference from my last visit at this restaurant.

Ate here for special occasion, Lisa was our server. She did wonderful, and it was very attentive. We felt honored and special. I would recommend the board of bread. It was very fresh and tasted like it was made daily. The French onion soup was very good along with their crème brûlée. I do appreciate the attendance and how they wanted us to return. I do appreciate the ambience was very nice and romantic for a special occasion, we were seated quickly, and we were not forgotten about at the table. They checked in constantly to make sure that we were happy with our meal and service. I do highly recommend.

Grilled watermelon salad

OK, so this is an upscale steakhouse within the Marriott. The food quality and ingredients are very good however the presentation and garnishments or not up to snuff. The crabcakes were wonderful and truly delectable . The grilled watermelon salad was meh. It just sounded interesting since you don't hear about grilled watermelon very often. Besides, logically, what does it really mean to grill something that's mainly made of water ? The lamb chops were good, but looked so bland on the plate with absolutely nothing to dip them in. They tasted above average, but they weren't superb. The filet mignon was definitely extremely tasty but again, it looks so bland on the plate ! Not even some vegetables or even aesthetic greens on the plate. Looks like something I could do myself at home with a grill and a high-quality piece of meat. I think Ruth Chris would've been similar quality for a lot less cost and probably a better overall experience . I expected more from Marriott, especially in a place like this.

JW Old Fashioned

The food and service are always amazing. Such a hidden gem. I will be back soon. Thank you, Lisa!

GARLIC MASHER TATERS LOADED
Jerry D.

The lighting sets the entire mood as you walk in. The staff is wonderful. The kitchen is in the back middle of the restaurant, you can see the chef prepping your meal. The Steak was cooked to perfection, it was juicy all the way through. The chef did a wonderful job in making it the way I wanted it. The garlic mashed taters were buttery, bacon crispy, the cheese melted; just the way I like it. Nothing overpowering, everything meshed together in bite after bite perfection. The staff was wonderful.

Great Mexican seafood at this Michelin rated restaurant in Inglewood!…read more My friend and I shared the following dishes: Ceviche Marinero: Fresh and tangy with a generous amount of plump shrimp. We asked for another basket of chips (free) to scoop the ceviche with. Crunchy and delicious. Filete de Pescado a la Plancha: The seabass was tasty and delicious! Nicely cooked and melted in my mouth. The side veggies and rice were also nice compliments. Each dish was around $23 - $25. Considering the portion sizes and proteins, these were a great value for what we got! You also get a complimentary basket of chips at the beginning with an actually spicy green salsa. The interior and exterior of the restaurant are nice. I liked seeing the display of news articles about this restaurant displayed. The service here was great as well. Our server mainly spoke Spanish, but that wasn't a problem since I spoke a little bit and he was very attentive. Overall, a great experience here. From the outside, this little spot looks more like a tax office than a restaurant, and even with the sign visible from the street, it seems easy to miss. Once inside, there are tons of awards and recognitions on the walls. We sat on the outdoor patio, which was cute and had a family-backyard feel. We were attended quickly and service was very friendly. For food, I ordered the ceviche marinero, my son the tacos gobernador, and my husband the ceviche de pescado. My ceviche was decent but nothing that stood out. It was a bit too acidic for my taste, but so was my michelada. My son devoured his tacos quickly, though I noticed there wasn't much shrimp in each one. My husband's fish ceviche was also decent, but I'm not a fan of fish ceviche in general because of that slight "dirt-like" taste (but, that's just me). Overall, I wasn't super impressed, but it is a solid spot for sure. If you're in the area and love seafood, it's definitely worth trying. Maybe your experience will be much better than mine.

It's been a minute since I've have had a seafood boil and man was this place was worth the wait!!…read more I came with a friend on a Wednesday night and thankfully it wasn't too busy. As for food we got the Combo 2 and our choices were shrimp, clams and snow crab. We went with the Torpedo sauce for our boil cause it was a mixture of all their other sauces (garlic butter, classic cajun and lemon pepper) and we got it at a medium spice level. And oh boy oh boy did it set our mouths on fire but in the best way possible!! The sauce was everything we wanted it to be, spicy, savory, garlicky, tangy and just pure indulgence. To calm the heat though we also got cajun fries, rice, Thai tea and Jasmine milk tea. Sharing a meal with a friend is always nice but sharing a meal with a friend here is great. I believe food is the ultimate uniter and I'm happy we chose to go here!! My one and only con is just the location because it was a bit sketchy especially at night but the food and service was so good I think it's still worth it to go.

The menu lists market price for their seafood, but nowhere to physically see the prices so you must ask the waiter. I ordered a pound of head on shrimp in spicy torpedo sauce (their house combination sauce) and some mild cajun fries for sharing. The shrimp was well cooked and a nice aroma of garlic lingered from the chunks of garlic visible in the sauce. The sauce had decently chunky bits which adhered to the shrimp well enough and was delicious with a nice kick of heat. The shrimp were less than fresh but perfectly palatable. The Cajun fries were lightly seasoned, with a crisp (but not too crunchy) coating, similar to the exterior of an onion ring. They were great for snacking and whetted my appetite well. All in the food was good, but I just wish the shrimp was fresher to lend some subtle sweetness and fresh feeling to the dish.

It's one of those "low-key hidden but worth finding" spots. Don't let the location fool you! I went on a Tuesday during the week when it wasn't busy at all -- nice and chill vibes. But babyyy once 6 PM hit? Dinner time activated. The crowd definitely started rolling in and you could feel the energy shift. So just know traffic picks up later in the evening if you're planning a visit. Now let's get into what matters: The staff? Super attentive and kind. I love when servers check on you just enough without hovering. And the food came out HOT. Not warm. Not "it's been sitting." I'm talking steaming, fresh, straight-to-the-table heat -- which is exactly how a crab boil should hit. Portions were generous because I was overly stuffed and still had plenty left over for the next day (which honestly might be the best part). Nothing like reheating a seafood boil and running it back. My partner actually suggested we go one day, so we decided to finally give it a try. When we walked in it wasn't crowded at all, just a couple sitting inside, and we noticed some people out on the patio. I asked if we could sit outside, but the employee said it was dirty and would need to be cleaned, so we stayed inside. There were two young guys working/Serving. As more people started coming in, it seemed like they got a little backed up and rushed. One of them dropped off complimentary chips and a green salsa, but he never came back with our waters or to actually take our order. He kept walking past our table several times until we finally asked him if we could order. He recommended the marlin tacos, saying they were more flavorful than the regular fish tacos, so we ordered those along with aguachiles (one of my favorite dishes) and a shrimp dish cooked in a red sauce. The complimentary chips were freshly fried and good. The green salsa, however, was extremely spicy. I normally enjoy spicy food, but this one was a little too intense for me to really enjoy. I ordered a pico de gallo, which tasted fresh but needed a little salt. The food took a while to come out. The marlin tacos arrived first and honestly they were the highlight of the meal. The flavor was really good and I enjoyed those the most. Then the aguachiles came out, and that's where things kind of turned for me. The shrimp still had the full heads on them, which personally grosses me out. The second shrimp dish in the red sauce also came with the heads on and served on a hot plate with rice. I removed the heads and tried a few bites, the sauce was okay, but not for me to continue eating. Between the wait time and service I was over it. At that point I mostly just finished the tacos. One thing I did enjoy was the cucumber-lemon agua fresca, which was refreshing and really good. Service unfortunately never improved. No one came back to check on us during the meal. When we were ready for the bill we had to flag someone down, and even then we waited quite a while. Eventually I noticed another customer waiting too, so we both just walked up to the cashier and paid at the counter. Overall, the food was okay, but the service and wait time made the experience worse. If the service had been better, I might have been open to coming back to try the ceviche or shrimp tacos. Unfortunately, based on this visit, it's not a place I would return to.
