Our journey with Roto-Rooter started with a backed-up main line. It was not fun. We called another…read moreplumber and they told us they would be out to help, but they never showed. We called Roto-Rooter at 6:00 PM on a Tuesday night and Gus was there within the hour. He rodded our main line and stayed out in our front lawn until 9:00 PM. The next day, Levi came out and told us we had a lot of breaks in the clay in the main line. He walked us through all the possible solutions. We settled on getting liners put in our main line. We made a plan for them to start and I felt good. Matt came out to get started and we hit a snag. Our clean-out had too sharp of an angle. We were going to have to regroup. Levi came out again the next day and we had a new plan. Matt and Dan got started and worked diligently for two days to get us back up and running. Every step of the way, everyone I mentioned was kind, professional, and diligent. Honestly, it felt like working with a local independent crew. I don't like that I had to meet them, but I'm really glad that I met this crew. They were patient as we asked questions. They even sat with our kids and walked them through what they were doing. When I found out by accident that this company had worked there & I knew he had paid everything by check, I went to his bank & asked for all checks paid to them in 2020. I was shocked to see he had paid them 3 checks all in one week totalling almost $9000. yet to this day, the basement still backs up & now has caused mold throughout the basement walls. I then called Roto-Rooter three or four times to ask for any contract that my husband may have signed. When I finally got it, I was shocked again to read a part that said if they need to use a camera to see a problem but can't due to anything in the way, then they can't guarantee the results. They had a place for the customer to initial their ok so my husband did. I asked them, how could you fix the issue if you did not know where it was. They have taken no responsibility. During the drywall repair phase, David and his team helped us identify the true cause of the moisture, which was a plumbing issue. David and his team quickly alerted us to this issue as they were performing the repairs and paused their work so we could address the plumbing issue before proceeding. Ultimately, the drywall repairs and painting were completed the following week and they didn't charge us additional fees for the unforeseen project delay and rescheduling. Once again, we were very happy with the quality of the work performed and the team's diligent cleaning process. Even after all of the work was completed, David was very helpful and responsive as we navigated the insurance claims process. Overall, we're glad that we hired Moldman to help us address this stressful situation and we highly recommend their services.
