We had a bad pipe burst in our office building and AMB was able to help with first the restoration/clean out, and then the complete reconstruction of our building. We went with a complete overhaul of the building including many custom elements that we didn't even know existed. The team and ownership group was very hands on from the start, kept us informed and delivered on their promises. They have an actual office that we consulted at which is not always the case with other companies. We were able to see their work first hand before committing. With other companies in the past, you almost have to go off of their word, which can be risky, but this made us much more comfortable signing up with them. I was told by AMB Associations to rewrite my review regarding their company. So I will go a little further on the details of our interaction. My husband and I were researching business to build a small deck. A friend told me of a website called Home Advisor. This is a website where companies have passed a comprehensive criminal & financial background check, and you can review real ratings & reviews from other customers to ensure that you get the best Pro for your needs. We contacted AMB and they had one of their associated come to our home. He came and measured and asked us some questions regarding what we were looking for. After he realized we were not happy about what we got as far as sketches and the price of the proposal. He emailed us: " I will like to come over one more time and check few thing in the existing deck this way i can give you better drawing also i will install a door under the deck so u can use that area for the storage i will be in the area tomorrow if that works for you. And i will Design there so this we you can see it right away. let me know " This is after we just only received a proposal with no sketches or designs. It wasnt until I asked for them that we received them. I know that we had 2 more people come over to measure and go over the deck. And I do not have emails regarding a new proposal or deck, Over all it was not the design we talked about. We were not impressed nor were we comfortable with a company that was so poor with communication. That is why we have given them one star. Keep in mind that this person called us to complain over a year later about our older review. And sent this email to me "Hope all is well. This email is regarding the review you wrote about our company on YELP. Prior to you writing your review we stopped by, checked the project, made a drawing, and gave you an estimate. Now we completely understand that you decided to go with another company, the problem arose when you made false claims on YELP that we did not contact you or provide you with an estimate. If you see attached, you will see your estimate and the date that it was last sent 05.03.2015. We would kindly appreciate you removing that comment from YELP being as it is untrue and unfair. Thank you! " We chose another company because they called us back and gave us what we talked about. The kitchen was mostly done beautifully, the rating is for the dealings with the company. The work did not finish on time, not a big issue, just used vacation days and only a no show once. Also, some items which I said were to be reused were through out. The issue is that, prior to the work beginning, I received, agreed to, and returned a signed a contract for a specific dollar amount. During the renovation, there was never any discussion about any additional amounts. Thereafter, post writing of the reviews on various sites, I again said I wanted to pay the balance of the contract. It was at that time I was told that there were additional charges that I was being requested to pay. Never was this issue addressed during the renovation, but rather an attempt to unilaterally add surprise additional costs. I was also asked to pay for the items I said to keep but were thrown out. Finally, I now have to have the marble floor that is scratched and has a divot in it, trim that is missing, and part of the floor board, is exposed under the dishwasher, rather than a continuation of the marble floor. read more

This review is a bit overdue but it is only because the project that I originally began with AMB Associates in April of 2017 is still not finished and I have given up on them to finish. We originally contacted Bart at AMB associates about a deck/enclosed gazebo project as well as flooring for our kitchen. They came out after the initial contact and we agreed on design and price for our deck, as well as our kitchen flooring. They were set to begin in May of 2016 but had many problems with the village regulations (I will give them that initially), but eventually we got a start date of July 5, 2016 to tear down our deck and begin construction of a new deck. They did come out the first day and spent about 2 hours doing the demo of the old deck. Let me state that we had in our contract that the deck would be completed within 10 business days from the start of the deck. What ensued was the worst case of work ethic, customer service, and outright disrespect for me and my husband throughout the entire job. There were many days that they would not show up, would not respond to my calls as to why they didn't show up, excuses and the fact that the workers were complete slobs. Not once did Bart, who we had originally made the contract with, show up to do any of the work. Instead there were most days one worker (clearly an apprentice or someone who did not know what he was doing), who would show up at 11 am and work until the latest 4 pm. The workers many days would have lunch and then throw the remains, including food, under materials in the driveway or under the frame of the deck, and it would begin rotting and collecting ants and other animals. Every single day that they came and had lunch, I had to spend 15-20 minutes cleaning up from them after they left. Always excuses, and Bart berating me because I contacted them when they didn't show up and talking about me to my husband behind my back. It took them 85 BUSINESS DAY to finish the deck alone. Remember, the contract stated 10 business days to finish the entire project. There were a few village delays that I will say could have added a few days to the project but 85 vs. 10 was unacceptable and there was no reason for it. We were ultimately happy with the (almost) result of the deck, but the process was completely unbearable. So much so, that we cancelled them doing our kitchen flooring because they told us it was going to be a 2-3 day project and we could not believe them. Yes, we cancelled our project but it was worth it. I was afraid of what they would do INSIDE my home after seeing the complete disrespect for the outside of our property. And by the way, we are still waiting for the final cap on one of our posts on our deck that was promised us by Labor Day 2016 and we still haven't received it.
