While it is true that the price…read moreis 55.00 for a decent speed it's like pulling teeth to get the full monthly price from their sales reps. Just remember that the price does not include modem rental if you're renting. If you don't rent the modem you will need to purchase one for 100.00. Taxes will probably be 10.00 depending on your city. Also a month in advance payment will be required . So your first month's payment will most likely be ( for the 55.00 plan) 55.00 + 10.00 (tax) + 55.00 + 10.00 (month in advance plus tax) + modem rental 10.00 X 2 for months if you rent. Total first bill :150.00 and that's a conservative estimate. If you're not a current customer doing a lateral change but a new customer there may be an additional activation fee. If you don't rent the modem but purchase it, the first month's bill will be about 130.00 + 100.00 for a one time purchase. The subsequent bills will be 65.00 -70.00 without a modem rental. 75.00-80.00 with a modem rental for the advertised plan of 55.00 a month. Just wanting to help you make an informed decision. It's not a bad plan just a few more costs than you may have realized . Every telecom does this .

The wiring was laid across the alley floor and was driven over by multiple vehicles, including a CenturyLink technician's truck and a garbage truck, within three hours of being laid. (can't imagine how much beating that spaghetti sized wire can take in hot AZ summer) Furthermore, I was initially told by century link after still not have internet that the technician gave me the wrong router, and another one was shipped to me. However, the technical department later confirmed that the original router was indeed the correct one. All of this confusion occurred within a single day. To add to my frustration, I was charged for this unsatisfactory installation. Every time I call to discuss this issue, I was forced to explain the entire situation repeatedly. I truly believe that any positive reviews are bots. They then sent me a bill for the installation charge for WHAT! I'm still having to argue with them on the daily to get that removed. I did take photos to dispute of the awful job the tech did. please don't call them please save yourself a lot of heartache and distress. Not even worth the one STAR your forced to give

He was nice and professional, had an accident with my diffuser but no harm seemed to come from it so far everything seems to be ok.. but they were on it with management to cover if I needed which left me at ease being the situation. Also I didn't have a remote for my tv so the man who connected my fiber router said he had extra at his house he would be in the area again the next day and drop it to me, talk about going above and beyond for your customers this was great! Kids broke our last remote so we had to use our phone app to get into the tv and some days it wouldn't work, so I am thrilled to have a remote again. Internet seems to be running smoothly with no issues! When I had cox it was always cutting in and out of out of service and it was paying almost 100$ a month. With fiber it's 50$ the first year. They also cater to our military keeping it 50$ all year and beyond as well first responders, for the rest us it goes to 75$ after first year. I think I def get my value for what I now pay having no issues and fast delivery service being great!

I have been with Cox for over 20 years. They provide excellent internet service, usually. 2 years…read moreago I was paying around $50 a month for internet services. My current bill was $150. It tripled in two years. I called customer service and talked to some Indian who went by the name of "Mike". He assured me my bill was going to be lowered to $66 a month, which to me is fair. My problem is that unless I called and made some noise they would keep jacking my rate. As soon as I complained they lowered the lowered the rate. Just a scam. How many people are they charging $150 a month because they didn't call and complain?

Back at my house with Cox "fiber" and I'm back to 100 mbs down and 15mps up. Don't forget the frequent packet loss and 15-30 minute outages several times a day. I complained to the FCC in 2024 and they sent out a couple trucks to "fix" the nodes that were overwhelmed because of construction but we are still here in 2025 with appalling service. Customer service replies rotate from blaming you, blaming your equipment or turning off the support line when there's an outage. Only when I reached out to the FCC did something happen. Arizona corporate commission could care less about the Centurylink/Cox duopoly in Phoenix. Get Centurylink or Google fiber if you can. Cox will ruin your day.

I cancelled service the day before the next billing period to assure a clean exit only to be told by CenturyLink that they take a few business days to process such requests and now are requiring me to pay for a days worth of service - which I can't use since equipment was returned when cancelled. I tried speaking (chatting with representatives, the first agreed to correct) and asked I check back in a week. Unfortunately, after the week, nothing done, chatted again and this rep and his manager were unwilling to follow common sense. So I asked them to mail me the bill. Why companies don't put common sense practices into place amazed me. It is going to cost them more to produce the bill, mail it, and process my payment then it would be to just waive the one day bullcrap they are trying to get from me because they can't process closures when requested.

That said, I've been a loyal CenturyLink customer for nearly 10 years, and the recent outage experience was incredibly frustrating. It took them an entire week to send someone out. When they finally did, they gave me an 8-hour window with no real-time updates or notification when the tech was on the way. I was literally walking out the door for an essential errand when he arrived. During the 7 days without internet, I spent hours trying to reach a human being. The phone system just loops endlessly, and it was nearly impossible to get help. I work from home, so I had to spend extra money to tether to my phone and find public places to work--in the Arizona heat, no less. After all that, CenturyLink offered me a $9 credit for the inconvenience. Honestly, that felt insulting. The service itself is generally slow, though to be fair, outages are rare. But when they do happen, the company is extremely slow to respond, and customer service is nearly nonexistent.
