It's the "sister" restaurant to EGP Land and Sea in Island Park, NY--and honestly, both spots deserve your business. EGP Oceanside is a big step up from your typical local pub. The food quality, presentation, and menu choices really speak for themselves. On my last visit, I had the French Dip from the specials menu--somehow even better than the French Onion Dip I usually go for. Mussels (Black Pearls) are always a winner. If you want to eat a little lighter, the EGP Salad with caramelized d 'Anjou pears is fantastic. Their wings can go toe-to-toe with anyone's, the burgers are crazy good, and my all-time favorite sandwich, "The Thick Chick," better never leave the menu (same goes for the Steak Tidbits). Everything is made fresh, and the owners and servers are always friendly and welcoming. In the summer, the outdoor space adds another bar and often live entertainment, which is a great bonus. Great selection of craft beers. Plus, there's plenty of parking in the back. Just a consistently great place to eat.
