Because of past dental trauma, I hadn't been to a dentist since 2020. I called several offices that morning, but Nora was the first person to answer. Her kindness immediately put me at ease, and she got me scheduled quickly. That same warmth greeted me when I walked through the door. Then I met Kayla, who was an absolute Godsend. I came in already struggling with a cane and boot from an ankle injury, and we connected over her own experience with an injury. She explained everything before doing it and was incredibly gentle with my photos and X-rays. But what meant the most was her compassion. When I became emotional about the years of damage to my teeth, she handed me tissues, reminded me to breathe and told me, "one step at a time." I never once felt judged. I felt safe. Vanessa, my hygienist, was incredibly kind, informative and compassionate. Dr. Kim took his time explaining what was happening, what could be fixed and all of my options. When I asked for his personal advice, he explained how each option could affect me long-term, which helped calm so much of my anxiety. Finally, Letty walked me through my treatment plan and finances. My crowns are not all the way up to my gum lines so their decaying in that space. It is costing me at near $10,000 fix her mistakes. Besides the money,I was a cash paying patient. I have lost a few of my teeth. Which when confronted with a phone call she won't respond. She had annette (who is well never have a bad work about) respond. When I wrote a letter asking for my money back seeing as how I was paying over $10,000 to fix her work she barely responded and wanted me to sign papers saying I would never speak of this again for $300 I refused. I think she only cares about money now not her patients and doesn't use quality materials to fix her patients teeth. Some of my fillings feel out a week later while I was out of state. Not a good feeling. And then for her to not even speak to me was worse. After about 10 years of her being my doctor was just devastating.

I had no pain in any teeth, but Dr Larrondo made fillings for 4 cavities on one side of my mouth. After that, the teeth became sensitive and hurt when I chew. I went for "adjustment" twice with zero effect. I was told it is normal to have some sensitivity for a while. 7 months later, the teeth are still sensitive and hurt when I chew. I am practically unable to use half of my mouth because of the discomfort, and haven't been able to enjoy food properly since. Now, if one out of many fillings had ended up problematic, I would have thought - "bad luck". But 4 out of 4 to me indicates that there is something wrong with the procedure at Dr Larrondo practice. I have received multiple fillings throughout my life and never had any issue. Just a month ago I received 2 new fillings by another dentist, and I had no problems and no pain whatsoever. I actually filed a grievance with my insurer, but unfortunately they said that "it is normal to experience pain after interventions" (!?) so don't count on being protected. And because my insurance only covers one procedure per tooth in 2 years period, if I want my teeth fixed, I need to face huge out of pocket expenditure. In addition to the fillings problems, I had an "accident" with the anesthesia injection. The injection caused extreme pain that brought me to tears (probably too close to a nerve) and half of my face up to the eyebrow was numb almost all day. It was the worst pain I have experienced in my life. Of course, they make you sign that you understand that everything can cause complications in the beginning, so they are not liable for anything. Dr Larrondo and her staff are smily and might be nice on a personal level, but this cannot compensate for poor quality of care. I deeply regret going to this practice.

As someone who is disabled, I often worry about accessibility and whether a provider will be patient and kind. Dr. Harris's office blew me away with their compassion and care. The dental hygienist and techs went above and beyond to help me safely transfer to the dental chair, and one of the techs even walked me out to the parking lot and helped while I was loading my scooter into the car.
