Nascha's seems to be a new-ish cafe in Vienna, which focuses on specialty tea, coffee, and breakfast (including pastries of different varieties), and lunch and wine. Even though I stopped by only for a coffee to kill some time, my impression of this cafe is overwhelmingly positive: the pastries look amazing and fresh, and the advertised lunch specials were not yet prepared, which leads me to believe they are also freshly made. The interior is tastefully decorated and quaint, and the music, while quiet, is entirely pleasing and not cheesy or irritating (I can think of no other way to describe the ambience, other than I think most people would appreciate it).
Seating is limited, so I think this is largely a take-out establishment, and they also sell specialty pre-packaged (and pre-made) teas, colas, and beverages of all sorts, especially wine. Their assortment of tea to order is vast, as well.
I inquired about the difference between their Melange and cappuccino and received the typical Viennese answer, although I maintain there's essentially no difference between the two (generally speaking). Nevertheless, while I didn't sample the cappuccino, I did try the Melange, which struck me as good and palatable, but nothing special. However, I do want to return to try a breakfast and/or lunch special at some future point. read more
