My husband and I shared a small order of the Boneless Crispy Spicy Chili Oven Roasted Chicken ($19, for 10 pieces), Signature Oven Roasted Fries ($6) and an Individual-sized Dakgalbi (spicy chicken) pie ($5). I called the restaurant to place my order for pick-up. The man answering the phone was very friendly and helpful (and had a pleasant "radio voice" lol) and advised me my order would be ready in 30 mins. I arrived in 30 minutes and my order was waiting for me. The chicken was delicious! It was breaded and was crispy on the outside but moist and tender on the inside. The pieces were a mix of white and dark meat. The flavouring was good, it was mildly spicy, but had a bit of a funky parmesan cheese smell to it that I wasn't crazy about, but despite this, I still enjoyed it. I will try other flavours next time. They have unbreaded varieties too. The chicken came with a tiny serving of pickled daikon radish and carrots. The veggies were crunchy and had a mild pickled taste. The fries were equally delicious! I couldn't believe they were oven roasted. They were lightly battered/breaded and were so crispy. They had chili seasoning on them and had a mild spicy kick. They rank among the top 3 non-deep-fried fries I've ever had in my life! If you're missing the air-fried fries from the now defunct "Hushh!" Restaurant, give The Seoul Station's fries a try ;) I love fusion/creative dishes, so I had to try the Dakgalbi pie. It's like chicken pot pie and Dakgalbi got together and had a baby, lol. The individual-sized pie is so cute. The crust was flakey and buttery and the filling was ground chicken with vegetables and spicy seasonings. I'm glad I tried it, but it definitely played second fiddle to the chicken and fries. We also got 3 sauces with our order. One was marked for Dakgalbi pie, which was creamy and a bit spicy and we actually used it for the chicken and fries. The other sauces were "chili mayo" and "Chef Min's secret chili sauce." Oddly enough, I did not find the secret chili sauce all that spicy. It was like a mild creamy sauce with vegetables in it. The chili mayo was as you would expect, a spicy mayonnaise. I'm always looking for healthier versions of my indulgences and french fries and fried chicken are up there with my favourite foods that I know are bad for me, lol. So I'm happy to have discovered healthier renditions that are just as delicious! They are in the Beechwood area, so parking was a bit of a pain, since it's street parking only. The sesame balls and the veggie spring rolls were reminiscent of the stuff you'd get at an AYCE restaurant, but they were still good. The sweet potato croquettes was a first for me, and they were very much like a large hash brown, but super fluffy inside. My suggestion is to wait for them to cool down a bit and eat them warm or room temperature. My toddler loved these, but I thought they were just OK. The Korean spicy fried noodles was the star of the show, although a bit too greasy for my liking, they did hit the spot. I really enjoyed their take on cooking tofu. I think they took deep fried puffed tofu, flattened it down and fried it with the noodles, where it resembled sliced pork. There was a lot of nice color to it, as well as a slight char, and the texture was amazing. Keep it mind, it was a tad greasy as well. I didn't care for the Singapore noodles. My hubby loves this dish, but said he's had it made better else where, so its all personal preference. I do like that you can customize a lot of the meals into vegetarian meals, so major kudos to that. I don't crave Asian cuisine all that often, so I don't think I will be rushing back, but it was nice to switch things up and try out something new.

The Long Version: My husband and I are rarely in Kanata these days but we were out that way to drop off some broken electronics for recycling so decided to have lunch at a new-to-us restaurant. Pho K Fusion was nearby. The restaurant is in the Kanata Centrum, where Bombay Frankie's used to be. It has high ceilings and is very modern looking. I had the vermicelli bowl ($17.99). You get to choose 2 meats and I chose lemongrass beef and lemongrass chicken. It comes with a spring roll, lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, bean sprouts, pickled onions and peanuts. You can have it with fish sauce or peanut sauce and I got the latter. My husband chose the build your own stir-fry from the "From the Wok" options. For his 2 proteins he got beef and shrimp. He chose rice as his base and XO sauce. He got spice level 5 (out of 10), but said it wasn't spicy at all, lol. I really enjoyed my vermicelli bowl. I forgot to say no bean sprouts, so I ended up picking them out, but my husband gladly ate them, lol. The vegetables were fresh. My only compliant is that the pickled onion pieces were too large. I would have liked them sliced thinner. The protein portion was good. The chicken was lean breast meat which I like. The beef was also lean and not gristley. The lemongrass flavour was mild though, not all that pronounced. It still tasted good, despite the muted flavours. The peanut sauce was tasty. It wasn't too hoisin forward like at some places. My husband was surprised his stir-fry was so saucy and the sauce was really runny. He thinks it would have been better if the sauce was a little thicker and maybe less sauce. He still enjoyed his meal. Service was pleasant and attentive. The place reminds me of Pho Thi Fusion which had a location in the Kanata Centrum once upon a time and also a location at West Hunt Club and Merivale, but those 2 locations closed down and only the one in Barrhaven remains. While they focus on Vietnamese food like pho, bun (vermicelli noodles) and banh hoi (vermicelli sheets), they also sell sushi, takoyaki, tom yum soup, and wonton soup. So Pan-Asian fare. They do have some less common Vietnamese items Bun Bo Hue and Bun Cha Ca. We would return if we were back in the area and looking for Asian food. Free parking available in the plaza parking lot.
