I was conflicted as to whether to give a 4 star or 5 star review. The only reason it's not 5 star is because the location... Renting a room in a chiropractor's office. The office is "sterile" and the employees don't seem happy. That doesn't lend itself to feeling like you are about to get pampered. The room that they rent from the chiropractor has a nice ambiance. I purchased my 60-minute massage through Groupon. The massage was actually very good. Not your regular typical massage. It was very relaxing and at the same time relieves the tension in your body. Rebecca was very helpful and insightful as to what pressure points I want her to work on (lower back, shoulders, arms etc.) The only drawback is that since there are only 2 massage therapists, the calendar gets filled up quick and time availability is quite challenging to find a time that will work especially if you have a full-time job. I went to Narayan because I had been having tension headaches every single day and I really did not want to take medication every day. I made a 30 minute massage appt with Justin and requested he just work on my upper back, shoulders and neck. I was very pleased later that day when I did not get a headache. Then 2 days went by with no headaches and on and on. Its been 9 days without a headache so I purchased a package of 10 1hour massages or 20 half hour massages at a great discount and could not be more excited about it! I completely recommend massage for a tension headache and Justin at Narayan would be a great choice! read more

This was the worst massage I've ever had and I am pretty sure Justin knew it. I came in with a gift card and he may have assumed that I wouldn't be coming back, so it wasn't worth his effort. Literally half of the time was spent leaning on my back. That isn't a massage. Occasional pressure is warranted, but not for half of the massage. I was bored and irritated while this leaning was going on. He worked only from my back side, while I faced downward, never asking me to turn over. I've never experienced this. When I asked him about this after, and another waiting client said he also was concerned about this, Justin said that it's the only way that he can adequately work the legs, as I had complained of leg pain. That makes little sense. I couldn't help but wonder if he did this because he was on his phone for half of the massage, because I could feel his arm twitching like it was doing something other than leaning. And it seemed like he was distracted, holding the leaning poses for far too long. So unprofessional. I shouldn't have ignored a friend's report of sketchy behavior from him. read more

Miracle massage!!! I have been going there for several weeks for TMJ (jaw) and I can finally open my mouth. It's very hard to find someone that will work on that area, and he is absolutely the best! My husband purchased me a 60 minute massage from Groupon for my birthday. Appt scheduling- you must do it online and requires you to submit your credit card information. I attempted to do it by phone but was told I had to do it online. Finding the location was hard- there are no signs except on the door which is inside the building. You literally just have to go by the address and unit #. My appt was originally at 12:15pm, day before I received a text and email saying it had changed to 12noon. I arrived by 11:50am. Taken back a few minutes after 12. Massage started roughly around 12:10 and he finished at 12:50. I didn't realize until I got back home that the Groupon was for a 60 minute massage. I'm kicking myself because I tipped him half of what my husband paid for the Groupon, but I hate being shady. Massage itself was okay. I've gotten a lot of massages (used to have a membership at Burke Williams) and to be honest, this massage is below average. I'm not sure if it's because he's a male with female clients and maybe he has to be careful with what he does, as it could be taken the wrong way. No neck, head or scalp massage included. Lots of pressure point techniques with few Swedish massage techniques. I don't like giving bad reviews, especially when they are nice people. Short story: Don't ever make an appt with Crystal at Narayan Wellness for a massage. I had a Groupon and made four different appts with Crystal to get a massage all of which were cancelled due to Crystals errors and lack of communication causing me great inconvenience and wasting my time. Never did get a massage. If I could give 0 stars, I would. If you want the details, read on... I purchased a Groupon for a massage at Narayan Wellness Center and made an appt with Crystal for July 19, 2016 at 11:45am while my Groupon was still valid. I had called earlier and left a message stating that I was allergic to Vitamin E and whatever oil she used should not have that as an ingredient. When I arrived at the appointed time, I mentioned my allergy again, and Crystal had not heard the message and as she only had one lotion available which had Vitamin E in it, I was not able to get a massage. She is a massage therapist and only keeps one lotion for massages? I've visited other massage therapists and they usually have two or more available for use. My Groupon was expiring in a couple of days and as she didn't have any appts available in that time, she agreed to extend the Groupon. I rescheduled for August 2, 2016 at 10:30am and she told me to bring my own oil or lotion to use mentioning that the oil could not be any food oil and should not leave any stains as the owner was particular about that. I show up on August 2, checked in with the receptionist who confirmed my appt, and waited. Crystal wasn't there so the receptionist called her to find out when she was coming in and was told by Crystal that she was not coming in and had cancelled all her appts. I never received a call regarding this and was annoyed as I had taken off work for this appt. Ten minutes after the receptionist calls Crystal, my appt seems to disappear on the receptionist's computer. I left my number with the receptionist and asked that Crystal call me. Later Crystal calls me to apologize and said she had written my phone number wrong and one of the digits was off. However, I remember giving her my number the previous time and her making the error and my correcting her with my correct phone number. Plus the fact that my appt disappeared after the receptionist called her makes me think this was just an excuse for her incompetence. I reschedule my appt for Aug 9, 2016 11:30am and again take off work and bring my own oil and a lotion for her to choose from for my massage. I show up and she is there and I give her my oil and lotion. She asks me if the lotion is scented and I say yes and then proceeds to tell me that she has very sensitive hands and can't use scented lotions! This is a massage therapist who uses her hands all day and was very clear about instructing me of what kinds of oils I can bring but doesn't think to tell me that she has sensitive hands and can't use a scented lotion which is very common??? I realized I was not going to get a massage again on my third try because while I had brought an alternative oil to use (magnesium oil), it can sting on initial contact for sensitive skin which is what happened with Crystal. At this point, I was beyond annoyed at the unprofessionalism and incompetence of not giving clear direction and wasting my time, not to mention having to take off work. I asked for a refund of my money for the Groupon as I wasn't interested in coming back for a massage anymore. She said I would have to talk to the owner so I told her to have him give me a call that day. Of course, I got no call. (By the way, all of this can be corroborated by the receptionist at the front desk as she was pretty much present every time I came.) I don't know if she didn't pass on the message or the owner didn't bother to call. Nor did she call to reschedule my appt so I rescheduled for Aug 29, 2016 at 10:30am as I needed to use the Groupon. I confirmed my appt and was planning on going only to find an email the morning of the 29th stating my appt had been cancelled and no explanation. As this place has only one female massage therapist, and I am not comfortable getting a massage from a man, I am now stuck with an unusable groupon and no way of redeeming even the cash value of the groupon . Don't ever use this place...they don't seem to know the meaning of the words customer service. read more

My p.w does not get recognized and have to reset every time I log in. . I first discovered this place on Groupon after I purchased a 60 minute massage. It was a little tricky to find the office initially so you'll want to arrive early the first time. Justin used a perfect amount of pressure and excellent technique to massage the back muscles. I was just hoping there would be a little more attention on the shoulders and neck, and an opportunity for me to lie on the back so those areas could be worked on more. I decided to get the monthly membership since I liked the massage and it's a really good deal for what you get. Scheduling the massage online wasn't too difficult and I found a time that worked well with my schedule. In my most recently appointment I brought up to Justin my concern with my painful/tight neck and jaw muscles, and comfort concerns with lying face down too long. He was very receptive my concerns, and sat down and talked with me about other ways he could target those areas with me either lying on my back or sitting up. He was then able to find and perfectly massage those sore areas and give them an excellent stretch, and also shared with me some stretches I could do on my own to keep those areas loose and pain free. I really appreciated that. I've felt much better since my massage and am looking forward to the next one. read more

I am extremely picky about my masseuses, and after having some truly amazing massages in the past, never settle for anything less. I went through several other places in the area before stumbling across this gem through Groupon. It is hands down one of the best massages I have ever had in my entire life. Justin is extremely knowledgeable and seriously talented, with a true passion for massage and wellness. He can always work out any knots or kinks without making me sore the next day. I have gone to him hobbling from lower back pain and within 24 hours, barely felt a thing. He always listens to exactly what it is that I need and is worth way more than he charges.
