Claire was very quick to respond to my inquiry email & flexible when it came to our first meeting. Her flexibility continues throughout her scheduling as well, as I have never had an issue if I need to reschedule a class. Claire definitely gives her undivided attention to our sessions, ensuring my form is correct, I am doing the correct amount of reps, and encouraging me as soon as she sees me start to struggle. While those are things that are done at other gyms, they are never done nearly as consistently or precisely as Claire does them. Not only does Claire ensure form is correct & reps are complete, but she also takes the time to explain the workouts before. She has such dynamic workouts that I never feel like I am doing the same thing over and over again! Lastly, Claire takes the time to get to know her clients. Last year I injured my back and could barely move for 4 months. After trying everything from physical therapy, chiropractic therapy, cryotherapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, nothing really helped. I did some personal training with MelIssa and she got me back on my feet. Today although I still suffer from my injury, I'm back in class 4 to 5 days a week. I trained with Samantha for 8 weeks and she helped me get into competitive training shape. I dropped 12 lbs while adding strength, endurance, and flexibility. For many of us "weekend warriors" who were in sports through the collegiate level and are still committed to staying in shape, Samantha is a great coach and trainer. She is an athlete herself, understands the dedication and commitment required to compete and win in athletics and takes the time to understand your personal goals, why you've chosen them, and offers advice to augment them. I was in a car accident about ten years ago and was in critical condition. I had many injuries but the lasting ones were a broken back that required spinal fusion, and a crushed talus in my ankle that I've had several surgeries on. Afterwards, I was always hurting my back lifting and carrying things. I stopped trying and became so weak I could barely carry a milk jug. Doctors told me I was too weak to support a pregnancy and would likely miscarry. Now all that has changed! Jenn has worked to personalize and modify excercises to help me become stronger than I ever could of hoped. I feel better than ever! It used to make me feel bad that I needed so much help doing things most people could do and now I can do so much more without help. However, when it comes to self discipline surrounding taking care of our bodies, we allow the interruptions and distractions that confront us in daily life to serve as an excuse for not doing what we know we should be doing to become healthy, and lead healthy lives. Perhaps we even have a handle on these distractions but decide that making our health a priority is something not worth doing until we've at least attempted attaining physical success on our own. In both instances, we wait and put off taking the necessary steps to integrate self discipline in to our lives. Bottom line, we need help with self discipline AND we need an EDUCATION surrounding how we should be disciplining ourselves. Jen teaches that there is not only a training and diet formula to achieve the results we want, but also a method to achieving the right state of mind in applying this formula which is unique for each individual and is the most important and critical variable.
