Service was attentive and provided solid advice for drink and appetizer selection. It's a fun spot and it actually has water views as you take an elevator up (unlike being street level at the Wharf). The bar has happy hour deals (more reasonable prices). Booth, high top, bar, big table seating options. It wasn't too crowded or loud when we went. Special feature: the Toto toilets in the bathroom with all the buttons
I came here on a Wednesday to have happy hour with a friend. It was relatively empty, which I didn't mind because i was serviced very quickly, and it was relatively quiet. The ambiance is wonderful and you come in on the first floor to a wonderful decoration into the lobby area. You go up to the elevator and get a relatively nice view. The food was wonderful, especially for happy hour and I would definitely come to this place again my friend and I shared the hummus and sushi.
Came for a surprise bday brunch for a friend. And upon arrival we were sat at the bar area when were thought we would b sat at the window for a view. However we didn't take issue with that. It did take a while for the server to take orders and get drinks and food rolling but once he did, it was non stop. The brunch is served family style for the number of ppl on your party. We prettt much wanted to try everything so we did. You order 3 times at a time. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD... except those octopus balls. They were mushy and o couldn't even swallow it. lol but other than the those... everything was amazing. My only critique would be for the French toast, pancakes and waffles to offer syrup. The waffles were a little dry and hard. The best things were steak and eggs, chicken dumplings and the Brussel sprouts. The French toast is an honorary mention lol.
My experience at Nara Ya left much to be desired. While I understand restaurants have grace periods, I think its unreasonable that a member of our party showed up within the time period and were not only told she could not be seated, but that our table would be moved. I could understand if the restaurant was packed, but it was barely 50% full. Service was overall slow and we had several different waitstaff come to our table, which was confusing. One of the waiters did give us a round of tasty shots, which was appreciated, did not make up for the experience. I also enjoyed my "Shoguns and unicorns" drink as it was refreshing. The food was overall just okay and definitely not worth the price. The calamari was tender, but the breading was not crispy enough. The fried cauliflower was tasty and my green dragon roll was fine, but again not worth the price especially given they are both vegetarian dishes. It is overall a nice restaurant with a vibrant decor, but I will likely not return.
Nara-Ya is aesthetic and very picturesque, even more-so in the evening due to it having the best view of the Wharf. Between 4 people our total bill came out to be right around $300, which covered 2 appetizers (pictured), 6 rolls (I ordered the Tempura Crunch and Smoke Break), and 3 alcoholic beverages. The rolls were fairly mediocre in my opinion, and each priced about $20, though the Smoke Break was my favorite of the two I ordered. 20% gratuity is automatically added as well as a 3.5% charge if you're using credit card for payment. Do I feel the experience was worth the price, absolutely not. We were a few minutes late (a person from our party was on time but they refused to seat her) for our reservation and they didn't let us sit at our assigned table (though no one else occupied it the rest of the nice as we were there until closing) so we had to sit at the high tops. Mind you, we called them maybe 10 times on our way there to let them know we were running behind and everytime (no matter what button we pressed on their pre-recorded system) and we were unable to reach someone. Our waiter didn't arrive until after we sat for maybe 30 minutes and he often disappeared--at one point another waiter came over to take our food orders because he was nowhere to be found-- and honestly there was nothing worthwhile about the experience. I would be interested to try their brunch as it is very popular, and seems to have better quality food and service than dinner time.
We came here for happy hour. First impressions, loved the wall paper decor. Very unique and inviting. Also loved the bathroom amenities - heated toilets lol Happy hour menu for cocktails was limited however the bartender's special which was vanilla infused cocktails was good. The spicy salmon crispy rice was quite a large portion. Overall it was a good experience.
My friends and family dined with me here on 10/11 for my birthday brunch. It was everyone's first time so there was a lot of chaos but it was the most delightful and savory experience ever. I had the pleasure of speaking and working with Bilson to get this reservation squared away. He was so patient and kind. Very efficient. And our server, David, was so pleasant despite the confusion. He deserved every penny of his tip! I cant say what I liked best because everything was immaculate! From the staff upon entry, to the decor, to the food and service! I found this place on TikTok and besides the all you can eat option, I was immediately drawn to the steak and eggs. And it did not disappoint!! There were so many options to share and we had not one complaint. I believe we tried almost everything. I can't wait to come back.
Bottomless food for $55 great deal. The only thing is it's a shared experience not your own plate. So table has to agree to select on the menu item. Best thing was the roasted potatoes and matcha pancakes 10's across the board. The steak and eggs 8/10 the steak was highly seasoned perfectly just wasn't cooked long enough to my liking. The Sakura sunrise mocktail was amazing. The French toast was also great not too eggy and honestly good and fluffy. The chicken and waffles 3/10 waffles were burnt and chicken was ok. But the chicken Benedict was great took off the egg and it was good cooked perfectly. Crispy Brussels sprouts-2/10 they weren't crispy it was like they were boiled. Service was good individuals were cleaning consistently and checking in. Just didn't keep my friends bottomless drinks filled. Place is cute tables could be a lil bigger. Requested a serving spoon and bigger plates which they delivered
Well, well my God! This place is it! Now, we all know how pricey this area of DC is (well all of DC a pricey, right?) But I am willing to spend big bucks here because this sushi was so good! This is my first time actually sitting and eating at a restaurant at the Warf because I'm usually here just to get some fresh seafood then head home. But I'm so glad I finally made the effort to stop and see what they have available. This was my 2nd restaurant of the night that I tried and if I would have came here first it would have been the only one. The first restaurant was good but for what I paid for it was not it. And I will say I would never go back to that restaurant again. My review on that will come later. But back to this fresh sushi and excellent experience and service. To get to the restaurant you have to go to an elevator and go up a few floors after you walk through the instagram phot ready maze to get to the elevator. Very cute indeed. After eating the elevator you head to the concierge who will show you around the restaurant if it's your first time and find you a place to sit . Because I was by myself I opted for the bar area that has small tables and booth. I'm so glad I opted to try new things instead of going to my regular sushi and was pleasantly surprised when the waiter's recommendations were all on point with the tuna roll, salmon, yellowtail, up to the (2) drinks I tried. I wish I remembered the name of the rolls as drinks but I can't. So if you don't know what to try ask! Now this might come to be a surprise for most but the bathroom toilet has to be mentioned. Besides the bathroom being ultra modern the toilet was it! Had a seat warmer and even a remote for you to use the other options if needed. Now I ain't going lie I wanted to try the other options to see...but decided I'll do that one next time I'm here...lol Run don't walk to Nara-Ya it's that place!
The chef's selection of sashimi is a really good value for $79 and the Wagyu roll was delicious. The chutoro, eel, and white tuna sashimi really stood out to me. The restaurant wasn't very busy for a Friday night but service and food were both excellent. The restaurant is clean, staff are friendly, and the women's room has a Japanese toilet, which is worth a visit itself.
We dined at Nara-Ya for happy hour this past weekend. Important to note: do note make a reservation for HH in advance. Apparently, it is only available at the bar--a detail not mentioned when making a reservation, despite what the host may claim. I would have rated Nara-Ya 4 stars for its interior design, location, views, and the prices relative to the quality of the food. The sushi was good given the price ($10 for rolls). Sadly, they offer only two gluten-free options: salmon avocado and a vegetarian avocado roll. Despite the owner's claim on their Yelp profile--"We are very happy to have many gluten-free items, or items that can be made gluten-free"--this was not the case. Unlike other high end restaurants that take food restrictions and allergies seriously, the server rudely informed me more than once that NO modifications could be made to the HH menu, even for a gluten allergy. On several occasions, the server had to go to the back to confirm that I was receiving the GF dish. This was disappointing, as I was concerned I might accidentally consume gluten! I had been looking forward to trying other types of sushi, like their tuna rolls, but once again, I was not given the option. One final note: make sure to opt for bottled water. We initially drank tap water, which had small mildew particles floating around. We immediately informed our server and opted for bottled water instead. Overall, due to the lack of GF options and the moldy water, it was a one-time visit for me.
I took my sister out for her birthday and we went to NaRa-Ya. Needless to say she had a great experience. They have a really awesome staff. Our host, Jose, did a great job serving us and made it a memorable event for my sister. The food was great. I loved the tempura crunch. The view is beautiful but the floor was a bit slippery.
The four of us had an exceptional dinner here as our last meal in Washington DC! We booked reservations for 5:00P on a Friday evening and were seated promptly after a kind welcome from the host. I was impressed by the classy and lavish atmosphere of the dining room, and we enjoyed a view of The Wharf from above. For being considered a more upscale restaurant, the pricing of the sushi was actually pretty reasonable with all the "Specialty Rolls" being $20 or less. All the sushi tasted super fresh and clean. + NARA-YA roll ($18): Spicy salmon, asparagus, sweet miso seared salmon, avocado, crispy quinoa & shiso. This was a simple classic roll and I appreciated how the salmon truly stood out as the star. + SALMON SIZZLER roll ($20): Shrimp tempura, cucumber, avocado, garlic habanero seared salmon, habanero garlic oil, spicy mayo, eel sauce & crispy onions. So many flavors and textures melded into this roll. However, considering the elements of habanero that this supposedly had, I actually didn't detect much heat, if at all. + TUNA TRUFFLE roll ($20): White fish, serrano pepper, avocado, Negi, Yellowfin Tuna, sweet truffle soy & scallion. My favorite one! The serrano pepper added a nice crunch and a perfect amount of spice. + ELECTRIC EEL roll ($20): Shrimp tempura, cream cheese, cucumber, eel, avocado, furikake & eel sauce. The eel on top was actually pretty meaty compared to eel rolls I've had elsewhere! I was also pleased with the subtlety of the cream cheese. + THAI RED CURRY SPIDER roll ($19): Tempura soft shell crab, carrot, cucumber, spring lettuce, avocado, eel sauce & cilantro. The pieces of this roll fell apart easily since they're so large, so it was somewhat challenging to eat. With the abundance of veggies, this was a lighter roll, but I found the red curry sauce very overpowering. + CALAMARI ($16): Probably one of best plates of calamari I've had! The light breading was perfectly crispy and lightly salted. Dipping it in the wasabi aioli is a must as it added so much oomph. For dessert, I had the MATCHAMISU ($18), which was okay, but the amount of cream was overwhelming and it didn't have a strong matcha flavor overall. My family liked the YUZU CHEESECAKE ($20), finding it nice and tart. I considered both very pricey considering the serving sizes. At the time we made a reservation, we indicated that we'd be celebrating my dad's birthday, and the staff really made our experience special! Not only did the host wish him a happy birthday when we entered and exited, but our waiter provided us with a complimentary cheesecake bar dessert. The manager even came over to our table to thank us for choosing Nara-Ya for this special occasion. The staff's kind gestures made our dinner very memorable. Thank you!

Atmosphere: I went here with a friend and it was pretty cool. Our service was so fast though. I wish we could have enjoyed the ambiance a little longer. This is a cool date night spot though Atmosphere: 9/10 The decor was beautiful! There are a few spots for one to take pictures at. We had a table by the window with a view of the water. It is a little dark inside the restaurant so I used my phone so I could see the food. The music was enjoyable as well Food: -10/10 The crispy cauliflower was SO GOOD! The flavors and textures together worked. I would definitely recommend - 6/10 The Rhythym of the Rhythm drink was good but nothing special. I would order more than one if you want a tipsy feeling -5/10 The District Spice Rolls were okay. Not good or bad but the flavors didn't stand out. It wasn't that spicy either. They're overpriced for them to taste the way they did -10/10 The Nara- Ya rolls were delicious. The sauce drizzled on top is what really makes it work. I would try those instead of the District Spice ones. Service: 9/10: We were there for less than an hour. Our appetizers and food came at the same time. The waiter was very attentive to us though. You have to ask for straws if you want to use one. Cleanliness: 6/10 They lay the utensils on the table instead of on an napkin. The waiter also placed our straws on a napkin that was folded so both ends of the straws were on the table. All of the staff wore masks. They do charge a small sanitation fee though. They provide hand sanitizer as well. read more
Had reservations for a party of three and the waitress was very informative and just delightful. However, the food was okay. I only ordered two cocktails and the calamari appetizer. My friends had the fried cauliflower, a cabbage and crab appetizer. And for entree the sea bass, which she sent back and a sushi dish. She stated it had little flavor. I would not return , but I can say that serve was great. read more

I had gone here for my birthday and it was great! The ambience and decor was really cool! When we got there our table wasn't ready due to the previous reservation still dining, so we were escorted to the bar and the manager Nick had personally come to apologize and offered us some champagne for the inconvenience. We got a nice table with the view of the wharf. Our waiter was attentive and we started off with drinks, I was able to get a mocktail of the Rhythm of the Night. Our appetizer was the Smoke Wagyu Tartare and came with a cool presentation. The taste was refreshing with the yuzu dressing and was complimented by the kombu and rice crackers it came with. My entree was the Duck and Foie, the duck was good and paired really well with the rice underneath. It comes with a kimichi cloud which had a strong aroma, if you're not used to kimchi this might not be for you, I love kimchi so I'm biased. I tasted my friends orders of the Yuzu Koshi Chicken, which was a really big serving and melt in your mouth, as well as the Green Tea Soba Noodles which was so hearty and light. I got a birthday dessert, the Matchamisu that came with a sparkler and was so good! It was light and a gentle matcha flavor. Would definitely come here again! read more

I really enjoyed this restaurant! I came on Saturday during their happy hour (weekend happy hour also a bonus) and ordered the shishito peppers and spicy tuna rolls along with their cocktail of the day which was a bourbon and ginger beer cocktail with blueberry syrup which was awesome. Also had a shot of the whiskey suntori toki which was incredibly smooth. I'd love to come back for dinner because it's well decorated and has a great vibe! read more

Saying that dining at Nara-Ya is an experience is not an understatement. From the moment you arrive at 88 District Avenue, to your departure, you feel excited about being here and welcomed by the team, the environment and certainly, the food & drink. Here for their inaugural brunch special to celebrate Mom's Day was made extra special by a son celebrating his mom and by having a beautiful young lady joining him to add more joy to the day. With a 5 item special prixe fixe meal, of course we began our celebration with some of their special cocktails. From a twist on the traditional, the Tokyo Greyhound was based on a Japanese vodka and sported a zesty twist with Yuzu juice. Also served for our party were the Ichika Spritz based on Proseco with some lovely citrus, a great concoction called "Have You Heard This Mix Tape?" with Choya's Shiso as the base, with a cranberry-like/basil flavoring, and of course no true Japanese dining event would be complete without great Sake. Speaking of which, there is a terrific and wide choice of Sake's to select from, so for the uninitiated, I strongly suggest reading up on the varieties and distinctions to enhance your dinner. Of course the main attraction is the food (although the decor, the view, heck the entire restaurant is an extremely significant component of the experience here) and the small plates were the stars. As mentioned, since a 5-course meal, all items are ordered at once. Unlike tradition though, the items don't arrive in order, they show up when prepared and ready for you (with the exception of the dessert, which obviously came last). Most of the small plates did arrive first, in no particular order, so be sure to acknowledge your servers introduction of each item when delivering them to be sure you're tracking what has arrived. The unanimous winners from the order were the Salmon and Tuna Hawaiian Stacks, the Agadashi Tempura Tofu and the unique and wonderful Seaweed Salad (not the mass produced version for sure). Of special note, the menu did offer to the prix fixe, 2 special upgrade options of their most popular sushi rolls, their Nara-Ya Roll and their A-5. Both were wonderful, but the A-5 is in a class by itself! Our mains arrived as mix-ins so with a party of 4 there was a TON of food on the table at all times. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't rushed, but it did compel us to keep on eating (and getting drinks refilled). Four our party we doubled up on the Short Rib Sweet Potato Hash, and had an Omurice Crepe and the Okonomiyaki, which is a traditional Japanese pancake with pork belly and cabbage, topped with a Jidori fried egg. After we did as much as we could to devour all that had arrived (and made sure our server know that the healthy portions remaining would travel home with us) the perfectly sized and wonderfully tasty desserts arrived. Our party tried both the Green-tea Matcha Misu and the Sakura Garden. The former is a blend of lady fingers, creme patisserie, masacapone and other tasty add ins, while the latter was a delightful vanilla custard with cherries and white chocolate mousse and more. The server staff were wonderful; attentive but not hovering. Ready to offer menu definitions and explanations and on the lookout for any requests that popped up while dining. Finally, as you're preparing to depart on your journey through the entrance way, be sure to take your time to note the attention to details with the decorations, particularly in the elevator lobby area. read more

The decor and aesthetics are reason to come alone. The view of The Wharf is breathtaking. Strongly recommend asking for a water facing table when booking ahead of time - the hostess informed me their open to seating requests for future reservations. I ordered the duck and edamame and was not very impressed with the overall flavor or composition of either. I would recommend avoiding these dishes and ordering the sushi. A table across from us ordered it, and it looked much more desirable. Would love to go back and try the sushi and see if it's better. Overall, a decent experience! read more
Was so excited to try The Wharf's next spot! Located on floor 3.1 (?), you'll pop off the elevator to a trendy Japanese wonderland, with decorations focused on the cherry blossom lovers. Complimentary hand sanitizer with join you at your table, where you will have lots of yummies to choose from. Whether you're a sushi, land, sea, or vegan lover, you'll find something on the menu. I couldn't not get their signature sushi roll, Nara-Ya! It is absolutely amazing - some of the best sushi I've had!! If a roll or two won't satisfy your appetite, I recommend starting with 1-2 of the small plates. I loved the cauliflower with a spicy sauce and puffed quinoa, as well as the healthy seaweed salad. Definitely will be back and can't wait to try others! Thanks Nara-Ya for coming to the neighborhood!! read more
It's the aesthetics for me! This new restaurant at @thewharfdc is gorgeous inside, the staff is amazing (hey Lindsay), and the drinks were amazing. I did not have time for the full tasting menu, but the restaurant was super accommodating for a cocktail tasting! The drinks were both aesthetically pleasing and delicious. I love a "fancy" drink, and Nara-Ya did not disappoint. Everything was perfect The decor in Nara-Ya is the perfect backdrop for any occasion. Even the bathroom is instagrammable. I will definitely be back frontage full tasting menu. read more

This is our honest opinion ; Ambiance : cool setting, looks way nicer in pictures than in person. Food: We ordered: 1) smoked wagyu tartare: this was delicious. Definitely must order. 2) duck and foie: foie gras was the size of a quarter. No joke. Duck had good flavor, was lukewarm though. Rice was soggy underneath it. Probably due to the foam layered on top. Wouldn't order again but wasn't terrible. 3) sushi rolls, Nara-ya roll , electric eel roll, tuna truffle roll. All were OK at best, nothing really stood out as different or flavorful. Amount of pc's was a plus if you really like to have rolls as a stand alone meal. Prices: no stranger to expensive restaurants / sushi but dang , $33 for the wagyu tartare and the dish it came in was maybe 3" x 4" . Again rolls were decent but for the price you're paying you think you would be getting something special. I keep thinking about nobu, sushi nakazawa , Rakuya, etc in the district, similar prices... actually most are even less expensive but you can count on good food and not be bothered by the pricing. Also , 20% service charge included - I totally get it pandemic , cost of supplies/food etc but our service wasn't worth 20% of the bill. The price of the menu items are high enough, to "force" 20% is a bit much. read more

If you are looking for some high quality sushi, this is not the place for you. They don't have much selection of sushi. This is a Japanese fusion restaurant, located at a building close to the waterfront, you can have a table with waterfront view so it's good to have a romantic dinner here, not very kid friendly though. We are a group of 4 people, we ordered Uni sushi, Toro sashimi, and soft shell crab roll (aka spider roll) from the daily specials (they are not on the menu, you need to ask the server for daily specials). The Uni is not very fresh, the last piece that I have had some bitter taste (my tummy is ok after all though). The Toro sashimi is fresh, $10 per piece, good quality for the price. We are from California and I've been to many sushi places around the world, including of course Japan, I can definitely tell what is good and what is bad. The spider roll is so so, the breading is not very right so it is more on the 'oily' side. I won't recommend. We also ordered Nara-Ya, District Spice, and It's Business Time, they are all so so. One thing I recommend you to avoid is the Pan-Seared Scallops, it is $26 for just 2 scallops! Way too over priced! We need to share 2 scallops among the 4 of us as we go family style. Food is 2 stars, I give 3 stars for the overall experience, view and service. Our damage is $260 for 4 ppl! read more

Place had a very nice ambiance and the server who took care of us what fantastic! We were celebrating an event and a complementary matcha tiramisu cake was provided that tasted great! The cons of coming here was the food itself, nothing too bad but very simple sushi with not much outstanding flavor. The price point didn't really match up with the quality of food, but I digress. We also ordered a cocktail which was decent but again, nothing to amazing. Nara-Ya was a nice experience but personally I wouldn't want to dine in again, especially for its price point and given the quality of food. read more

Nara-Ya is possibly the hottest restaurant vibe in the District right now. If you're looking for a cutesy run with the girls, date night spot overlooking the water, or a treat yourself experience you won't be disappointed. Highly suggest making reservations in advance as seating is limited and they tend to book quickly. If you park in the parking garage make sure to park near the waterfall steps. The garage tends to fill up quickly, so be sure to allow extra time. Nara-ya shares a home with La Vie. When you enter the host will check you in at the time of your reservation. You'll have the opportunity to capture some epic pics as you pass through the Japanese inspired tunnel that leads to the elevator. The restaurant is located on floor 3.1, and they even have a drink called "why is it on floor 3.1?." The atmosphere and view once you enter the restaurant is absolutely breath taking. The service is exquisite and the food is delicious and fresh. Our server Lindsey was outstanding, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. Looking forward to returning in the future. read more

Vibes and views are immaculate! The restaurant interior is beautiful with lots of great photo opportunities. We were seated by a window so we had great views of the water. This restaurant has lots of vegan options. We ordered the cauliflower appetizer dish, which we loved! For my main dish I ordered the veggie sushi rolls and was a little underwhelmed by it. It was still delicious, but I feel it lacked a little flavor. By far my favorite part of the meal was dessert!! A great vegan option. I think it was like a raspberry filled mousse. Awesome to have a place like this in DC and can't wait to be back. read more

The inside of the restaurant is really cute. The lighting is great. Our server was nice. But I felt like the food was mid, not worth the price. I had high expectations coming all the way from Texas hoping for high quality sashimi, but it can't even beat some of the midwest sashimi back in Carrollton if i'm being completely honest, and for triple the price? Other than that, the rolls were okay. The drink was alright as well. Left the restaurant full. read more

The ambiance was cool and the interior design set a fun vibe. I went for brunch and the drinks were amazing, especially the 3.1. Sadly, while the food had some really great flavor combinations it was below expectations. The steak in the steak & eggs was burned and charred. The eggs in the fried chicken Benedict were over cooked and the chicken was dry. The cottage cheese blueberry toast was barely flavored. The French toast was very good, though the center was very undercooked and gooey. The service was good but the food didn't live up to expectations. read more
This place is so cute!! Definitely Instagram worthy. Once you go into the lobby, take the elevators to the right and you'll be greeted with this hallway of amazing wall paintings and flowers on the ceiling. We got seated next to the window and it looked right out into the water. It was too dark to really see anything except for some Christmas lights but still beautiful. Appetizers: We got the gyoza and the smoked wagyu tartare and bone marrow. The gyoza was fine. I'm not the biggest tartare fan but this was pretty good. It was very refreshing. Entree: We got the smoke break, tempura crunch, lobster fried rice, lamb chops, and miso glazed sea bass. I had the miso glazed sea bass and a bite of each of my friends food and woooowww everything was so so so good!!! Miso glazed sea bass was so light and flaky. Wished I had more of it. It was on a bed of mushrooms and potatoes with a dashi miso creme. The lamb chops were pretty good. Not the biggest fan of lamb in general because of the after taste but this one didn't have that after taste! Really tender. The lobster fried rice was my second favorite. You get two pieces of lobster and I think smaller lobster pieces sprinkled around. Really flavorful. Loved the sushi. It had the right amount of cream cheese filling. For dessert, we got the Mt. Fuji? It's basically a baked Alaska with a lemon tart in the middle. Not my favorite thing in the world cause I'm not a big lemon fan but my friends loved it. Bathrooms are clean! Overall rating: 4/5 Food: 5/5 Dessert: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 (very loud but it was also pretty busy) Staff: 5/5 read more

The ingredients and sushi were good but the customer service was not. My boyfriend and I were initially pestered about purchasing cocktails and drinks multiple times by our waiter who only stopped after I mentioned I was not 21. We felt that we were being rushed and treated differently for appearing less affluent. While I considered buying more food the uncomfortable customer service experience from both the manager and waiter made us leave. Be sure to read the entire Menu before tipping as they automatically charge 20% with a 3% surcharge. The menu we were given did not present this information in an easily accessible manner. I asked the manager to remove the surcharge and he did oblige as per the menu. Overall the poor customer service did not make up for the above average sushi. I would advice people who prioritize customer experience to avoid this restaurant. read more
