It's been a while since I've had a slice of pizza across the seaside bridge. Looked up nearby pizza spots coming off the bridge, and remembered lots of classmates raving about this place back in the day. We opted for a cheese slice, a garlic knot (no sauce), and a cheesesteaks pizza. I was amazed at how flavorful both pizzas were in their own ways. The crust was a perfect balance between crunchy and chewy. The garlic knot was so soft and garlicky, which validated my decision not to get it with sauce. As much as it was a cheesesteak pizza, it tasted like a cheeseburger pizza -- I wanted to add pickles ? Star deductions: I never quite sit inside this location as it's a bit old and outdated and doesn't look the cleanest. Also wasn't a fan of a fly flying by the cooked pizzas. At first we thought they didn't accept card, but after paying in cash we realized they take visa! It's not often I'm back in my hometown but if ever I'm driving out from across the bridge again, I'd give their full cheese pizza a shot -- it's that good! read more

If I could rate this -5 stars I would ! This is by far the worst pizza place in the whole state of NJ! I called an order a large pie well well well WELL DONE and these idiots that don't know how to cook delivered a raw pizza that wasn't well done all the cheese slid off the pizza the dough was super soggy wayyyyy tooo much water in the sauce I'm not sure what's going on here but maybe they really consider shutting down and retiring! We went to Naples last night because we were in the mood for a few regular slices. It was Friday night the place is mobbed. As for decor, it's rough, old, outdated and not the cleanest. The service was fine and as I said this place gets busy. We ordered 2 regular slices, a slice w pepperoni and a grandma slice. - grandma - really good, not the thin grandma I'm used to. A bit of a thicker crust w more of a chunky sauce, it was awesome. A little heavily salted but not the end of the world - regular pie - 2 out of 5 at best. The sauce and cheese are good, the crust sucks honestly. It's that typical jersey crust that's tasteless and hard to chew. The crust is there only to hold the slice then gets tossed away. I've had so many friends in the area rave about this place but I don't think it's all that great. Pizza is consistently good, service is eh, sandwiches are sloppy messes and extremely difficult to eat, only good thing is the bread the sandwiches come on. The people working there never seem happy to see you, like its a real chore that they are even there let alone taking your order. It'd be nice to walk in to a smiling face once in a while. Also the whole place is old, kind of clean but could really, really use a makeover or a deep cleaning. I had a chicken caesar salad there one time, the chicken was so tough I just ended up picking it all out and throwing it away. In a word, yum. Good pizza. We almost didn't have it; I engaged my wife in an argument (usually a bad move), and she informed me of two things: 1) she felt bad cheating on Charlie's Pizza, and 2) she wasn't going to eat from a place called "Naples", because she had bad memories from her childhood associated with that city (wow, weird... Who knew we still had secrets after 22 years?). In a stunning, surprise victory, I won an argument with her, for the first time ever. This will be the only historical record of such a thing in all of human history. I hope it endures both time and tide, because it means a lot to me, and it proves that it can be done. Was it extraordinary? No. Was it fantastic? No. Did incindiary firework devices explode in my head upon the first bite? No. It was just solid pizza, like you'd expect from the best. And that is enough, isn't it? In all my years in the neighborhood, I had never tried this place, and woe is me for that egregious failing. This is perhaps the best stock-standard pizza in the 'hood; cooked to perfection, decent ingredients, greasy as hell... I really couldn't ask for more. Really. Nothing. I ordered it, it arrived on time. The driver was personable. Both pies were excellent. One had pepperoni, the other was plain. End of story.
