Came here after a day at Jenkinson's Boardwalk and it was super busy! The service was fine, it's an order first then wait for your food to bring to your table place not a sit down restaurant. The food was ok, nothing to rave about but we also didn't get pizza. I had the eggplant parm which was very sauce-y and had a generous amount of cheese on top but it wasn't the best. My son had a pepperoni calzone and said it was ok...same goes for my fiancé's Philly cheesesteak. Overall, we tried it but likely wouldn't come back unless we wanted to try the pizza. read more

I come here about once a month and get a focaccia pizza. Last month's was raw dough in the middle. I just atr the crust. I did not complain cause everyone has an off day. This month was the same. This time I ask for it to be put back in the oven for a bit cause the middle was not cooked. The Latino gentleman with the black rimmed glasses put back in the over but told me.."my boss said this is supposed to be like that". What a dumb statement! It is supposed to be uncooked? After removing from the oven, still raw dough in the middle but burned on the bottom and top. I ate the crust. I will not be returning. It's hard enough trying to develop a clientele and keep everybody happy but last time I was there I ordered the cheesesteak which everybody's raving about and I've had them a while back and there was hardly any meat on the damn sandwich lotta peppers lotta onions, cheese, but hardly any meat and for the price they got for. Different cheesesteak #1058 in the last five years. Sign says, 'home of the famous cheesesteak.' Should say 'home of the famous cheesesteak roll.' It appeared to me that the roll was the only thing that made it different from any other pizza shop cheesesteak. I got a cheesesteak with fried onions and mushrooms. The roll did play very nicely with the mushrooms. $10.40 for a small at lunch time, that seemed very pricey. read more

And the large is bigger than most babies are born. Pizza is also amazing. They have a lot of variety you Chan choose. One of the best pizza places in the area, if not the best. Slices are pretty thin crust and always nice and crispy - the sauce they use is also top notch. Cheese steaks are great here as well. Two small downsides are that it gets pretty busy around meal times and they don't do any delivery, but if you think about it those are both actually good signs that the food here is quality. They've been in business forever and are always packed and they've done it without ever needing to offer delivery. read more

The best cheesesteak your gonna get in Point Pleasant/brick area. You can complain all you want but I've found that this is the best place to get a cheese steak when your in the mood for one. came in last night at 8pm, an hour before they closed and all the pizzas were put away when we walked in - so I asked if they're still serving pizza and I felt like I got a pissy , unwelcoming attitude (do you not want peoples' business ?) .. then the kid who was cleaning windows outside came in to put our pizzas in the oven without washing his hands . Literally saw this guy cleaning the outside glass door and then come in and start touching the pizzas without washing his hands nor putting gloves on. Having a place praised because the competition is non existent in the area isn't much praise at all. I have been eating here for more than twenty years. Before the ownership change you couldn't get a better cheesesteak anywhere. Now you can get one on the boardwalk that's exactly the same. As a local however I refuse to pay the parking fees or drive out of town to get it anywhere else so I find myself here when I want a quick half with extra cheese and onion. The rest of the menu can be overlooked including the slightly better than average slices. The parking lot gets tight and there are flying insects inside often. It could use a makeover inside and a complete overhaul for the restrooms. Like many things in the Brick/Point area it's just not what it was. And the things that are were never very good in the first place. This isn't the nicest review but it's very honest. The bread is usually still good. If you order a cheesesteak I'd recommend extra cheese and the works to mask the mediocre taste that gets old halfway through a half. Locals honestly know that this place is still packed because of the name and the fact that getting a good anything down here anymore is getting harder all the time. read more
