I heard a lot of great things about this restaurant and was excited to try it! With it being by the capital the only real parking was in a near by parking garage. The ambiance was not what i was expecting for an upscale italian restaurant, it gave more of a family italian restaurant. Definitely not handicap accessible and the prices were higher than I thought appropriate. Some of what we ordered was amazing while others left us feeling like something was missing for the price we were paying. The tables were very close together and did not provide much privacy at all between tables. I would try again but with a different expectations going in.

I do have to start by saying that this probably wasn't their best work because it was Ironman weekend and they were very busy, but I was unimpressed tbh. We ordered the Loch Duart Salmone alla Puttanesca, they were out of salmon so they substituted it for shrimp. This dish I would not get again it was like bland spaghetti. Also ordered the rigatoni alla Salvatore which was better. Another member of our party ordered this as well and they looked like completely different dishes with different sauces so who knows. 2 people in our group ordered the pollo Salvatore and both did not like it, saying the chicken was quite dry, the pieces of bacon were fatty and there was not a lot of sauce. 1 person ordered a coke that never came. They did give us 2 Tiramisu 's for the long wait and that was the best part of the whole dinner tbh

Naples 15 was an amazing date night spot - they had the cutest decor for valentines and we sat right next to a piano! There was so many great menu options to choose from and our waiter was so helpful!

    My wifes favorite GF pizza.

Had a GREAT dining experience at Naples 15 - the atmosphere was like the restaurants we ate at when my wife and I visited Italy. Best part, my wife and I are gluten sensitive, they have really good GF pasta and pizza. Enjoy with a great selection of wine!!

Where dreams have no end... thats what happens at Naples 15. That was the wine we were recommended by chef Salvatore. Was the most spectacular night of my life. The food and wine pairing was unbelievable.

This restaurant is an incredible experience with great food - win win! Highly recommend checking Naples 15 out. I'm surprised it doesn't have a higher rating on here and that many people I know who have lived in Madison for way longer than me had never even heard of it! I only discovered it when I specifically searched for nice restaurants that could accommodate both vegetarian and gluten-free restrictions. They were very accommodating - lots of Italian dishes can be vegetarian, and Naples 15 has most of their pastas with a gluten-free version. I came here for my birthday with a group of 5 and we all loved it. Our favorite dish was the buffalo pizza, which was surprising. It was so good though! This place has an old school vibe, dimly lit, candles, waiter service, you know the deal. It's right downtown (but we were able to find street parking nearby!). A good idea to call ahead to make a reservation, was pretty busy!

The food, ambiance, service, wine, and everything was perfect. We had a really wonderful dinner in a packed restaurant on a cold winter evening. It was perfect a perfect night. The food is especially amazing.

Naples is always packed on a Friday night, make a reservation and come early!

Sal is the most hospitable and personable owner I've ever meet at a restaurant. His food and experience is second to none, and easily the best meal I've had in Madison. Next time I bring the family up I know where I am going. Try the calamari in the pan!

Overall one of the lowest values in dining in Madison. Uncomfortable atmosphere and expensive. If you want pasta go to the OG instead.

Ask the Community - Naples 15

Italian food is much more than pizza. What is offered to eat besides pizza, which may be the best, and two salads?

Does Naples 15 still have gf pasta? It's noted in some reviews but they are years old and there's no indication on their menu or website.

Drip coffee was delicious to start. I had the lobster fettuccine and there was PLENTY of lobster in it. Pasta tasted fresh and it hit the spot! Some of our party got the French toast which looked amazing and I'll probably try next time-- peaches and pecans with it! A few of them ordered bacon on the side too and it came with plenty of it, 3-4 long strips. Cannoli was the pastry I chose and it was the perfect sweet treat. Filling had cinnamon and was dipped in pistachios, which I will be back for! Ella was our server-- simply amazing! Super attentive, knows the menu like the back of her hand, and went above and beyond for us many times. Michael was one of the hosts who went out of his way to practically give us a photo shoot to capture my friend's special day. Beautiful restaurant with an elevated feel. Open environment while still making the table feel private. They were piping pastries while we were there which was fun to see. Went on a summer Saturday around 11, and if you're from Madison, you know that means the farmer's market (aka, make a plan A/B/C for parking, plan plenty of time to get there and be patient with the crowd outdoors).

But once you walk in, it's a completely different story. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly, helpful, and had actually been to Rome, which made the conversation more interesting and added a nice touch of authenticity. And the food? Way beyond what we expected. Everything was well done and felt like a real step up from what the exterior might lead you to believe. You can feel the history in this up close, the statue at the entrance of the Trevi Fountain almost pulls you in before you even realize what you're looking at. The detail is incredible, even with the wear and mineral buildup from years of flowing water, it actually adds to the character. Standing there, tossing a coin over your left shoulder, it's one of those moments that feels a little touristy... until you do it. Then it just feels right. Like you're taking part in something that's been going on for generations. Simple tradition, but a pretty cool one. This place is a bit of a hidden gem. The mushroom pasta dish (tagliatelle) was definitely the stand out of our meal. While the budino was delicious, I didn't get the butterscotch flavors as it was noted in the menu. It almost tasted more like pumpkin and cinnamon. Warm fresh bread and the traditional cesear salad were delicious. I really liked my white sangria but my husband didn't care for his barrel aged Negroni. Love the tiles behind the bar and the history of this classic place.

We visited for a date night and even though it wasn't busy there were a few times I was without water and due to the layout of the restaurant and where we were seated we couldn't flag anyone down. For food, we avoided the pasta due to the reviews and ordered other items instead. The calamari was surprisingly good even though it looks frozen, it was cooked absolutely perfectly which is hard for calamari so I was very impressed. The porto salad was delicious, and reminded me of a supper club salad. The pizza (That's A Spicy) was the best part, as I love a crunchy and thin crust pizza and there were so many toppings.
