I bought the two batteries at Westsound Marina and was referred to Crescent Repair Center in Eastsound for the work since I was staying on that side of the island. This work required some basic wiring, soldering & and seating the batteries securely with some metal supports, and foam padding underneath, requiring some creativity, knowledge and skill. And, with only two days left to work with before leaving the island coming into a weekend. Crescent Repair Center was able to work me in at 9am Saturday morning and Jack was very nice, patient and thoughtful about educating me on what I asked to learn, and was very knowledgable. I was appreciative for the help needed, when I found the battery was no longer holding a charge, and left assured that the workmanship was the kind of quality I could depend on. I would seek their services again.

The worst mechanic I have ever encountered…read more I was supposed to meet them at 8 AM at their garage. They were 1/2 hour late. Spent 5 minutes with the car and told me I need a new engine. Turns out I had a faulty spark plug wire, not an new engine needed. Asked for my money back, and was harassed over text by one of the mechanics who got my number because I dropped my car there. Really, really shocking, scary and uncomfortable. I waited to post this until I found a decent, affordable mechanic elsewhere. But I feel like I owe it to the community to be open. My friend and I were traveling on Orcas Island recently. It was May 15 when my friend noticed she…read morehad a flat tire. We found this gas station on the island and stopped there to use the air compressor and get help. We both had a hard time trying to figure out how to use the compressor properly. My friend talked to a woman (can't remember her name) who worked at the gas station and she came out to help us. After a short time, we were able to get air into the flat tire and get on our way. Thankfully, the tire remained stable until we could get back home. My friend took her car in to a Bellingham Les Schwab and they found a large screw embedded in the tire. They repaired the tire. We were just so grateful to the kind woman who came out to help us that day. Thank you!
