Had my eyebrows threaded for the first time. What a great surprise; so much better than waxing. Sara did my eyebrows, she is efficient and knowledgeable. She did an amazing job! I had no problem finding parking, in fact I parked right outside the salon. So much cheaper than waxing, and no burned skin! I will definitely return! read more

I never threaded my eyebrows before, but it was not as painful as the horror stories make these things out to be. There are pros to waxing and pros to threading. Although the hair does grow back a little faster, the skin above my eyes was definitely not as red. My friend did however have a pale spot near the ends of her eyebrows. (Those poor sections has not seen the light of day). So make sure you are rather specific when telling them the eyebrow length so they aren't too short. I give Nanu four stars because they were quick and did a great job and considering the price and quality you can't beat them. This place is not really for the lingering folks. They get you in and get you out. I thought they would dab some witch hazel on my eyebrows or something so I sat in the chair awkwardly then got up and stood for a minute; she asked if I needed anything like lotion, but my little awkward self said no thanks and just left the chair. Pros -Clean quick job -The price is cheap -The place is very clean - There were always people sitting in the chairs, but never really a line. Cons - Could improve customer service. The monotone cashier did definitely not want to be there. (Crack a smile at least?) read more

It's not as stylized or modern in decor as Ziba, but still cute and nicely decorated. Threading here is only $8 compared to $11 at Ziba (they've increased their prices recently). Been going here since they opened and I usually request Nani, she's awesome and spends a good amount of time on your brows. She'll even thread the first brow for you to check then continues based on your feedback...awesome! My go-to place for brow threading. read more

Love this place! Quick, efficient and I'm always satisfied. It's amazing to me how these ladies can work their magic with long piece of thread. I stopped in recently for the first time in probably 3-4 years. Nothing has changed. The ladies are sweet, quick, and efficient at their jobs. I walked in and walked right back out in about 5 minutes or so. Super quick. The process can be painful but you won't need to take any pain killers or anything. You may experience some redness and slight swelling around the threaded area but this is pretty normal. Beauty is pain right? Your body will adapt if you go enough times. read more

Reading some of the previous reviews I guess this place really sucks with communicating their times of operation. So disappointed! I have been a loyal customer for over 3 years I called last night at exactly 6:41pm and asked if they would remain open the girl told me yes we will be open until 7, I was already on my way and told her I'd be there very soon she said okay no prob. The parking lot was insanely packed but I managed to quickly find a spot I walked in at exactly 6:55 and the rude girl at the front said Um we're closed , I told her I had called and said I'd be there shortly, she's like sorry well we closed early tonight, I mentioned to her that it says 7 pm and the woman who I spoke with on the phone said to come, otherwise I wouldn't have drove there WHICH IS WHY I CALLED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE, she looked at one of the women who answered the phone apparently and the woman told me I told u we close at 645 ... hmmm okay so why the hell would I continue to drive there if I was told they were closing sooner than the posted time? She looked at the 2 girls and said well it's up to them if they wana stay and do it for u. Ummmm no thanks, walked out and went to creative threading at the district and they did an amazing job. I have been a customer for a very long time, my mom and sister go there and we will no longer return for any services at nanu threading because of the rude girl at the front. read more

Just moved to Costa Mesa and I am loving Nanu's! Super cheap, quick, and great results. I've gone to Tika and Indu for eyebrow threading and they are both great. Haven't had any waxing or henna done there yet, but I know that I will definitely be going back for more eyebrow maintenance! read more

I have been a loyal customer until now. I am extremely upset with the "service" in which I was provided today. I went in for a regular cleanup, after two weeks- (this should tell you how often I frequent this place). Today, I sat with a new worker who looked to be more of Asian decent. Definitely a new face, but they've always done an amazing job, so I was okay with it. This woman not only ruined my eyebrows for a huge corporate party that I have tonight, but also tried to say my brows were already like that. You can CLEARLY see red where she plucked away INTO my eyebrow shape. I felt she was not apologetic nor was the other woman who was working. They offered to fix it, but that now requires me to thread off and thin out half of my eyebrows. I am NEVER coming here again and am thoroughly disappointed by the amount of "sympathy" I was given. I have never given anywhere a bad review until now and I am completely appalled. read more

Came here twice and both times I was very satisfied with their brow threading. It's pretty cheap ($9) and the services are very friendly. They can get pretty busy but luckily the second time I was here they weren't. The process is pretty quick though so even if they are busy the wait isn't bad. read more

I love threading a lot more then waxing. Faster, cleaner and cheaper. I try to go every 2 to 3 weeks but if not I'll pluck those in between hairs. There's a stamp card again so that's always fun. read more

Just had my forehead/hairline threaded and I must say Deepa did a great job. There were three girls ahead of me but they were all waiting for Twinkle so I didn't wait at all. I've had a super fuzzy forehead my entire life to the point where my hairline actually connects to my eyebrows. She was conservative, which is fantastic. I always want someone to take less than remove something they can't put back (like haircut when you ask for a trim and leave six inches shorter). I had her be a little more aggressive and take more. She happily obliged. So quick. Painless. Who cares what color the walls are. Will be back again! read more

Used to go to Ziba's out in West LA. Wanted to find something in the OC area: gave Nanu's a try. Went there after work and there was plenty of parking. Had my eyebrows threaded: checked out the eyebrows in-store and they looked fine. Got home and noticed that the brows were a little uneven. If you try this place out, I recommend making an appt with or waiting for Navi. read more

I've been a customer for Ziba for about 3 years, don't get me wrong Ziba did the job good, but Nanu does it better for me. I started to come to Nanu because I heard it was cheaper because Ziba jacked up their prices. They do a great job here, they aren't as busy as Ziba so they actually take time with the customer to satisfy everyone. I like this place and I come here every 3 weeks. read more

Oh my. A bit over a week after I got my eyebrows threaded, I was getting ready to go out and realized that my eyebrows looked uneven (too much was missing from the arch on the left side). Apparently it was always there (I sort of noticed it right after it was done, but I was too busy looking at the red threading irritation on my forehead to pay it much attention), and she had trimmed both my brows so that it was less obvious. However, after about a week, I guess the hairs grew long enough for me to notice. My brows are naturally uneven, but I've been to many many estheticians and none of them have made my brow that obviously uneven as it grew back. In the process of growing out that over-threaded brow... It's a pain because it's takes forever and looks gross as it grows out.... ugh. Going back to my normal esthetician; she seems to know how to make my brows work for me a little better. read more

I've been here two times already and the past two experience were a nay say. The threading was horrible! For both times that I was there for it, a good chuck of hair would go missing! I won't notice it at the store at first, but after going home and inspecting, I was pissed! They trimmed my hair so that what little hair I have left would cover it. I would get bumps for the amount of pressure they put in and my brows were noticeably uneven. read more

The salon is clean and I've never waited more than 10 minutes to get threaded. I've been going to this place for a year now and their services are a hit or a miss depending on who you get. Krishna is my go-to gal. She's sweet, friendly and takes her time with my brows. I had high expectations for Twinkle based on the reviews here, but she was disappointing...basically rushed through the process and had an attitude. For $9 brows....not worth it. read more

I have had my eyebrows threaded a couple times before at different places and have always had average results. I chose to have my eyebrows threaded by Twinkle since there were lots of raves about her on the reviews. She does do a pretty good job (eyebrows are even, no random hairs). I was really surprised how she does it very quickly though, like maybe about 5 minutes for me. I don't know if its normal but hey, my eyebrows look fine at least! read more

For once will I ever find a good place for threading? I've been to Vinitas, Ziba's, and that other place at Main Place mall. But never, ever can I be satisfied. These ladies are really pushing it like the nail salons. "You want forehead done, you want sideburns done, upper lip." I signed up for eyebrows and immediately they assume your whole face? My eyebrows are not that tough but they seemed to never spend more than 5 minutes on me. It wasn't even busy, no one but me was there. I don't really want to go back to waxing. (waxing is bad they take more than a couple layers off your skin) I need a higher end place that will spend more time. Does anyone know a better place? read more

So I've been looking for a place to get my eyebrows threaded in the OC and I decided to try Nanu since they had a first time promotion...Not Satisfied. They were friendly enough, but the quality of the work was way below what I expected based on the reviews! Granted, Angie wasn't working when my coworkers and I stopped by- so maybe she's the only good threader in the place? Navi did my eyebrows and upper lip- dont get me wrong she was nice and very gentle...but she definitely didnt arch it and after closer inspection they seemed a bit uneven. My compadres had Manila and they were even less satisfied- bumps from too much pressure & work that was just mediocre at best. If you absolutely must go here, call ahead of time and make sure to get Angie- from what I hear she's the best out of the bunch. read more

One of the best places I have ever been to for eyebrow threading. I'm very particular about the shape and thickness of my eyebrows. Usually they come out too thin or I dislike the shape whenever I try new locations but here, they really listened to what asked for. Shape is beautiful and I get lots of compliments on them. yes, I still love this damn place... I have been going here for over a year now and I wanna say that every lady there has done my eyebrows. I used to go to Angie but not anymore because she messed them up a couple times, they came out a little thin. Now I go to either Indu or Madu. They always make my brows look so natural, and even fixed them when my brows were done too thin. They are now completely grown out and look amazing. I love it here because they are so quick and cheap! and my eyebrows always get compliments :) read more
