Being from America, this was my first time here. I was with four others, and we ordered a whole chicken that came with your choice of four regular size sides or two large. We got the creamy Mashed potatoes, rice, chips (fries) and gravy. The chicken was very good, the rice a bit spicy, and the gravy was a very small serving. You order thru their app, and then they bring it to you. The service was stellar and very friendly. The meal was more than enough for the four of us, we even had leftovers. Extremely clean - food was fresh and delicious, staff was extremely nice and their service was perfect.

Nando's at London's O2 Arena is one of the largest Nando's stores I've seen, it's over three floors with the second floor being the main floor with the most seating, and the third floor just for toilets. It does have a lift; it is the lift dubbed "the slowest lift in the world" by joking staff members as it's that terrible, which meant I was up and down many times in the lift. It would have been so much easier if they allowed me to sit downstairs which for some reason was closed. While the staff seemed quite nice, I did find it to be pretty annoying how they'd walk around with walkie talkies to communicate between the two floors, it was rustly and echoing and certainly isn't what one wants to hear when trying to enjoy a meal, I still don't understand why they don't fill up downstairs first or at least just send customers upstairs where they still have to wait to be seated. The speed of the food was strangely mixed, my friends food came out in minutes however mine did take quite a while: I presume this is down to it being an allergy order and them making all necessary precautions to make sure my food is safe, as even the regular staff members were aware of my allergy, rather than just the manager which was great to see. My food, however, took a further 10 minutes or so to come out, possibly longer: while I understand and appreciate them taking care with my food, I don't understand why they couldn't let my friend and I eat together. While the medium butterfly chicken was tasty and hot, I found my chips to be a little cold, and my "Creamy Mash" was bland. I'm not sure if they pre-prepare sides, but my friend also complained that her rice and chips were cold. While the chicken is okay, the restaurant layout (consisting of mostly large tables, the lift issues and seating upstairs first) is a little frustrating, so was the issue with the food not coming together and ¾ sides between two dishes not being hot. While I'm sure this place is great if you're visiting a show at The O2 due to its' location if you have extra time perhaps the Nando's branch two stops away at Canary Wharf (Jubilee Line from North Greenwich) would be better. 2* read more

As an American, I've never had Nando's before, as it's simply not in my part of the country. I was here with a college friend who lives in London, along with his family. The Chicken is pretty spicy (exactly the way I like it), and I love the fact they serve Pasteis de Nata (Portuguese Egg Tart). Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to try it. The sides, while good, was not anything to write home about, but that's OK in my book. I understand there's disdain over "chain restaurants", but when they get it right, they get it right. I mean, it's a Nando's... a huge, massive, Nando's in the O2 complex... if that idea doesn't run you off then you'll probably like this place. If you've never been to a Nando's somehow... first off, peri peri chicken... if you don't like that it's probably best to skip! Side note, most of my American friends that have been to a Nando's absolutely love it. It's pretty much the peak of self serve meets proper restaurant, which I actually don't mind... there are free refills on drinks, and I don't have to wait for anyone to get them... same goes with the sauces, all there for you to pick-up as you wish. You order at the counter, but they do actually bring the food to you and then check up on you once later (literally once), but other than that it's pretty much up to you. The food ranges from good to great on a good day, the only time I've ever really been let down is if it's cold or if a portion of chicken seems stingy for some reason or another. For this one in particular I was surprised how quickly we received our food despite the size, but it given we were all starving post film we didn't complain... it was exactly what we needed, a quick meal that was healthy(ish) and didn't break the bank. Above said, if you've never been and want to see what it's about in general I highly recommend a smaller one somewhere as a start before you work up to this cruise ship size behemoth. read more

So my first time visiting Nando''s more than 10 years ago I was impressed to see how the franchise has expanded. The locations are consistently on point the Chicken seasoned well and cooked to perfection. One thing did stand out as a Your seated and given menus this would leave you to think some one will return to take your order that is not the case you must get up and place your order then return to you table for your meal to arrive to you aside from that the food was consistent in the four establishments I visited excellent flavor again Brap!! read more

One of the Nandos where customer service outbeats its other stores. Customer Service: Due to being Nandos at the 02 Arena it is only fair to assume they'll be a queue which there was, but, the Nandos employee who deals with customer inflow and outflow ensured he went around giving out menus so when we did finally come inside and get a seat we would know already what we wanted (which does save a lot of time when you want to be in and out with no hassle). We were then greeted with a kind woman who showed us to our seats. When ordering the food the employee actively engaged in general conversation, looked as if he was truly interested and ensured I had everything b reading back out the order and double checking everything. I would definitely use this Nandos purely based on the customer service in which I received. Food: There is not much to say about the food apart from if you are a regular at Nandos then this was good quality as always and if you're a newbie then it is definitely worth it. I have been to quite a few Nandos within London. I do think this is one of my favorite locations! It is in the 02 so it is a bit busy, however I do feel like the food here was much BETTER than other Nandos locations I have been to. In addition, even with the long line and the crowd I believe we got our food rather quickly! The staff was all very nice and helpful. A solid effort from those chaps at Nandos. One of many restaurants in the O2 - this is a big old space for a lot of people and they do a good job under pressure. Totally agree with Urbanite! The story goes that a local entrepreneur in South Africa discovered this Portugese cafe that made really good chicken. So he bought the rights to the recipe from the chef/owner of the cafe, and you know the rest. Although every Nandos is pretty much the same due to the standardization, the decor in each restaurant is totally different. This one of the o2 dome looks extra classy (especially upstairs) compared to other Nandos. read more

It's a Nando's. I don't need to tell you about the chicken. I do need to tell you about the service, which is what provoked me to bother reviewing it. We stopped in for a cheeky one after watching a film. It wasn't busy at all as everyone was in the Mariah Carey concert inside by that time (I wish I had been!). In fact there were more serving staff in their black and red uniforms on the ground floor where we were seated than there were actual customers. And yet still we had to sit there and watch our food sit on the counter getting cold. Ok it was probably for about 5-10 minutes, but when you've waited a while for it to be cooked and you're starving and you can actually see it, it was like some first world version of torture. It should sit there for 30 seconds max. Fine if they were busy or short-staffed but that wasn't the case at all. In fact quite the opposite - we watched till staff look at it then walk right past it (can they not carry plates too?), as did two of the 'front of house' staff (apparently they can't either), while others (both senior and junior judging by the uniforms) walked in and out of the kitchen more interested in chatting and hugging each other than wondering if someone was maybe waiting for these plates of food. We even saw one waiter tear himself away from the girl he was sitting with to amble halfway to the counter, decide it wasn't worth delivering said food, and go and sit down again. It was this seriously lax attitude that I found so disappointing - I felt more like I was watching people hanging out with their mates in a college common room than in a restaurant supposedly serving customers. Went here for a quick bit to eat before a gig at the O2. We were quick to be seated and served but the food was like cardboard - bleh!

Ate at Nando's twice, one time (two years ago) and then this year. Because I don't get to come back to London often, my cousins take me out to this place because it's really good! The service here was great, and quick. Chicken was really yummy :) I would definitely come back for more chicken! :)) read more

A favourite in South Africa even though its supposed to be Portuguese chicken. Its by far better than all varieties of fried chicken you find in London! Its slow grilled so it healthier and it marinated in tasty peri-peri or mild lemon and herb so it tastes better. The restaurant experience is simple, get a table, order at the counter, then you get your own cutlery, drinks, sauce etc. You do not have to cook your own food and it will be brought to you! Its actually quite fun seeing how many bottomless cokes you can get through or choosing what heat level of peri-peri sauce you can handle! Not a romantic date type place, but its fun and the food is great, try it now! The O2 branch is a little smarter and classier than some of the others, I have had to wait for a table on occasion but its always worth it. read more

I love nandos. The chicken is fresh and always beautifully cooked, not all greasy and stringy (which is really off-putting), but tender, fresh and delicious. They have the most fabulous sauce ever, peri peri sauce Mmm! The food isnt expensive and I have always found that the service is really very good, so no complaints. read more

Do not come in a big group or when it is busy, terrible service, manager was not accommodating will not come back to this branch. A real shame as well as I love nandos but this branch really has let the name and brand down, sorry to be a kill joy but bad service is bad service :( read more

I have eaten here many time. Always a good service and good chicken! It's great it is inside the o2 and so you make an evening of your trip there. I like the decor, particulaly the sink they have to wash you hands after eating chicken with your hands, very handy. read more
