This was our first Nando's experience, and it was a hit! Great spot for a quick lunch. The sauces really make the experience, we had fun trying them all with our chicken (ordered the butterfly/thighs platter). The Peri-salted chips were tasty, as were the macho peas. If you come to London you have to try nandos! I realized why it was so popular after my first time! You get a great bang for your buck and it's so nice that they have an island with all the sauces. I def went and tried a couple different ones to see what I liked best. The service was quick and our food came out quick as well. I would recommend the chicken of course and the sweet potatoe wedges! The plates were super cute and the whole vibe in general was so fun and fresh. read more

I'll just start off by saying that I think there's a really good group of guys working here. Really friendly, helpful and just good vibes all around when you walk in. I guess it's what Americans would consider good service, which is simply not the cultural norm for shops/restaurants in England. There is seating on ground level and also upper level, and it's really clean and open late - past 11 pm! My chicken was very juicy (even without all the delicious sauces) and tasty. I had a late dinner there and was writing while waiting for food. A couple of hours later, I realized my beloved pens (I write a lot and they're really nice pens!) were missing and that I probably left them at Nando's. So I called them and sure enough, a worker was holding onto them. I arrived there shortly after their closing time, but some people were still eating and their doors were still open. Anyway, I was grateful to be able to add more points in my faith for humanity haha. What was already an enjoyable meal was made unforgettable because of the people here. read more

We were curious about this place and decided to try it on our trip to London. It's a hybrid version of a fast food place and a sit down restaurant. Decor is nice and the servers are friendly. The food did surpass our expectations for sure. We got the boneless platter with extra hot sauce, which wasn't too difficult to deal with but we are Indian..so...! The chicken was tender n peri peri chips (fries) were great. The coleslaw was nice too. Didn't care much for the mashed potatoes, they tasted like plain boiled potatoes. I really like Nando's. The staff was really friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. An extreme plus for me is their availability of refillable soft drinks. It cost them less than 15 pence to fill up a regular size drink of Coke so other places that charge 3+ pounds are just cheating us out of our money. Anyway, I ordered the quarter chicken with 3 wings and a side of fries and rice. It was all good and I highly recommend the hot sauce. But if you don't do well with spicy foods, just get the medium and get some hot sauce on the side and just dip as much as you need. Nando's is well known for their peri-peri chicken which is basted in a combo of chili, spices, & herbs. We called for delivery, which arrived in 40 minutes. I appreciate the sense of urgency displayed; however, I would've liked it even better had they not forgotten my chips in their mad dash. (I contacted the UK food delivery service & the price was credited to my online account.) As we are both condiment fanatics, we ordered sides of peri peri drizzle & perinaise (50p each.) He got creative & smeared both onto corn on the cob & made a Mexican-style elote! My double chicken breast sandwich w/ medium sauce had a nice kick (note to self: don't be a hero & try to go for the "hot" next time.) High praise for his lemon & herb butterflied chicken breast. First time trying nando's and have to say it was pretty good. I got a mild Butterfly Chicken with Super Grain. It was very good. The chicken was juicy and very flavorful. Service was fast and there was plenty of seating. If it's your first time trying the place get plenty of their hot sauces they are very good. read more

Heeeey, so I think I really like Nando's! It's going to become a regular fixture in my takeaway rotation. It doesn't hurt that it's literally the closest restaurant to my apartment, they've got a loyalty card system, and can get the food ready in 5-10 minutes if you want to wait there. :) I've had the normal 1/4 peri peri chicken as well as the chicken burger. The meat is indeed high quality and well flavored. I'm a pretty small person and easily polished off my chicken portion and didn't quite feel full, so you may need to order more or buy filling sides. Sides are great! Can definitely recommend the creamy mash. Ratatouille has good flavor, but is not worth the price. Over £3 for a tiny pile of shrunken peppers and celery? This visit must be the inconsistency the regulars to this Nando location keep talking about. Visit highlights: Great chicken (mango-lime). Awesome host greeted us and explained the menu. Lovely woman at the counter smiled and gladly gave us plates. Let's get down to the nitty-gritty, shall we? I have never in my life received such awful customer service from just one person at a food establishment. The young man, JOSÉ, must be incredibly unhappy in life to be so rotten, rude and sour. If I could make a suggestion to him... I'd say to find something else that will make him smile because he is clearly in the wrong line of work. He should consider an occupation that requires zero human interaction, a stapler, paper work, and LOTS of papercuts. Strike One: I asked him for an extra cup at the counter since he only gave us two and there were three in our party. I hesitate to be impatient with waitstaff since they already have enough to deal with all day. It was a full hour before closing and I am sure they were winding down, so I can forgive a little impatience on their behalf. Uh, the look of unwillingness on his face was enough to make me lose my appetite. I said please in my request and thank you after he fulfilled it. He responded with ignoring me and absolute silence. Strike two: The woman who brought out the food put the plate down and walked away. She actually had a look of disdain plastered on her face. It was a meal to be shared (2-3 people) but she escaped so quickly, we were unable to ask for extra plates. Strike two-and-a-half: I walked up to the counter and was about to ask the grumpy cashier for extra plates and mid-question with engaged eye contact, he turned around and walked away from me to the end of the counter to drink a glass of water. This is when the lovely woman behind the register fulfilled the simple request with a smile. Strike 3: We realized it was three minutes to closing so we wanted to pack up so as not to keep them any later. I actually started bussing my own table (I always appreciated guests who did that when I used to serve). My sister walked up to the counter and asked for a to-go container and JOSÉ actually rolled his eyes at her. She in turn responded with "Now," and that prompted him to move his lazy, unfriendly ass. I tell myself over and over again, this is London - try something new. But no, I can't help myself ending up in Nandos again! But that time I can blame my boyfriend - he is the meat eater. When you enter they always ask the same: "Are you familiar how Nandos food orders work?" Of course - my boyfriend stormed without even thinking to the counter, as both of us were very hungry. He certainly did not wanted to waste any time! I was placed upstairs waiting for him to join me. There I already gathered the cutlery and hot sauce which you have to get by yourself. Even though I know the is too hot for me this is a tradition! Of course I also had to insist on the 10 chicken wings - this is a big portion girls, especially when you eat it with fries and Russian salad. However, I never learn. But what I found out is to ask for a doggy bag at the end. It is just a shame to waste food and at Nandos they have this genius concept of wrapping your left over food. Like most Nando's, this place really struggles for consistency. Sometimes, it's a great experience; food's good, the restaurant has a buzz and the service is excellent. Sometimes, it's just dreadful; food's bad, there are kids sprinting around and the service is surly. Last night, I went in for a takeaway and was served by the very friendly Jan and the food was very good. When it's his shift, I always get good stuff. When it's not, I should just leave. On a good day, it's a 4, on a bad it's 2. So we come to the dreadful, and oft-distributed, 3 stars. read more

The chicken is amazing, along with all the different sauces they offer. Spicy rice and the green peas are delicious as well.

Good food, great service and nice seating area upstairs. The all you can have coke is great. I normally go for the quarter chicken meal which has not let me down yet. Nandos loyalty card is also a must as you get a free meal every now and then. Make sure you get it stamped every time you spend at Nandos. Great location in the heart of Bayswater. At busy times eg . Notting Hill Carnival you may have to queue but worth the wait. Remember to order at the counter. Would recommend to one and all. One of the better Nandos. read more
