Visiting Arancina was a nice surprise in Notting Hill. Didn't have much expectation for a pizza joint, but the gluten free pizza was absolutely delicious. There is outdoor seating as well as seating inside upstairs and the place was empty when we dined, so we had the whole floor to ourselves. Very rustic chic vibes.
What a great little original pizza shop in Notting Hill. I ordered the Capricciosa pizza for takeaway. It was ready in 10 minutes and was still piping hot when I got back to my hotel. As you can tell from the picture, the crust, fresh ham, artichoke, mushrooms, and olives were delicious. This is easily a meal for two. I'll have my other half for dinner. The owners were so nice and welcoming as well.
As with everyone else, drawn by the orange (play on the Italian word for color) mini with the pizza jutted out! Great eye-catching stunt they pulled off there! Needed a super quick bite before taking on a walk across Hyde Park and onto Victoria for Billy Elliot, and grabbed some pizza here. Uh.... very nicely done! Still not quite fan of square slices, as they are wholly reminiscent of grade or secondary school for me. But being a sucker for cute things, I just had to try!
We were staying in the Notting Hill area, checked into our hotel relatively late. As you know, everything in the UK closes at 17:00, so we were screwed since it was 22:15. Like a lighthouse with an orange beacon, that Fiat in the front window guided us to their Pembridge Road location. We liked it so much, we returned for lunch a couple days later. Since I didn't want to be belching up peppers in my dreams, I went rather conservative with the Margherita - tomato sauce, basil, mozzarella. With so little, it was amazing. My wife's carnivora - Margherita with every Italian meat on planet Earth - tasted amazing. On our second trip, I rolled the dice on Nduja'e'talegg ... spicy and awesome!
This place is full of surprises. To the unbeknownst, it looks like kinda a lame pizza/pasta place with old stuff that probs doesn't taste amazing. Sorry, but it's true. And it still looked like that when I ordered a piece of the asparagus pizza and spinach cheese pasta. But it tastes very good! Yes, it sits there and gradually looks worse and they pop it in the microwave- but it tastes wonderful! That was incredible pasta!!!!! And the pizza was very interesting- it has asparagus- but they called it creamy asparagus, which is was. Don't ask me how. The arancini ball was nothing special, but the pizza (which is massive btw) and the veggie pasta was delicious for a very cheap price. There is also seating upstairs.

A morning of walking, shopping, and exploring left our tummies empty and our throats thirsty. Couldn't resist checking out a pizza spot with a mini parked in the window. We found fresh, thin crust pizza with a variety of simple toppings. Found a little spot upstairs to rest our tired legs and enjoy a really great slice, or two, or three . . . Hope to be back in London someday soon, can I order a pizza to be sent to California? I can wait 10 hours. . .
Luscious, mouthwatering pizza at a decent price. I had a hankering for some authentic Italian pizza and boy did I find some! When I came in, I was greeted by two very nice employees and took a look at the pizza to choose from. I ended up going with a ham pizza, pepperoni pizza, and cheese and arugula pizza (the pizza comes in rows rather than pies; a pizza row is about 4 or 5 strips of pizza). I loved buying several and mixing and matching. Each piece was more flavorful than the last. Although it doesn't look like it, there IS seating above the restaurant up the stairs where there's about 7 or 8 tables that look down on the street as well. I caution that eating in while increase the price of your overall meal. The restaurant is in a great location right off Baywater street so you won't be able to miss it. Enjoy!
I went because I am a big fan of Josy A - an London Elite Yelper who had reviewed this place in 2014. The other half was craving italian for our last vacation day here so I spotted this not too far from where we were staying. The breakdown - Beef lasagna - me and the little one - Marguerite slice - me, mom - Veggie with eggplant(aubergine) - mom - Ham with white sauce - the other half The good: - The portions are HUGE - The service is friendly - The marguerite and ham were good! - The beef lasagna was decent - Crust was so so The bad - Taste - my mom took a bite of her pizza and refused to eat anymore. I took a bite and agreed that it tasted stale. We spoke to the folks in there and they assured us that their pizza is never more than 2 hours old. - One of the friendly server enthusiastically encouraged me to leave a tip. First time in the 2 weeks stay I was there that anyone asked for a tip. Thought it was odd.. London has plenty of good cheap eats. I'd try somewhere else.
Being nostalgic discovering Notting Hill the most non-English thing is to discover a cinquecento - an Italian minicar - display the biggest ever backed pizzas in the window of an Italian Arancina. Of course I had to have my slice of it! At the counter you have a selection of various pizzas where you can add your chilli and olive oil. They offer take-away or eat-in. For me this is the perfect break to get away from a hectic street and to catch my breath upstairs in their small lounge. There are not a lot of places around Portobello, which allow you to sit down and not pay the world. In Arancia they have the best pizzas, which will give you the next energy boost for the rest of the day and I never paid more then £6.
I absolutely love this Italian take-away cafe. It's got half a car in the window with a tray of freshly made pizzas sticking out of it-it's amazing! The main reason for going there are the great slices of of pizzas you can get-i love the spinach, ham and egg one myself but the pepperoni one is delicious too. They serve freshly squeezed orange juice as well as if you don't fancy a pizza they have other amazing tasty treats to fight your hunger. Good pastas, good breads and good everything. The only downfall are the moody staff, although they're not all like this, but I have had a couple of staff who find it difficult to speak and understand English and this can be frustrating but the food is great and the prices are reasonable for the area too.

Looking through my pics I stumbled upon a photo of this yummy pizza and realized I never reviewed this cute spot in Notting Hill. Twas a rainy afternoon in old London Town and we had been hanging out on Portobello Road all day. We found ourselves quite famished and saw this place beckoning us to come in, dry off and enjoy some hot pizza.With a half Fiat (yes the car) in the window that was so cute we had check this place out. This place is small and cozy. We ate upstairs where there is more room and really enjoyed our pizza. It was so much fun to eat here and the pizza was divine! read more

A cute place with delicious food! The pizza was great, there was plenty of space to sit down and enjoy your meal and it was in a nice area with a lot to do nearby. A great stop if you're looking for a simple but delicious meal in the area. read more

This was the perfect place to eat at late in the day. We went on a Sunday and they had a deal for bottomless Prosecco for one hour and it was only £9.99. I loved the pizza because it was delicious and not greasy. They also had a deal that included one slice of pizza, a side, and drink. read more

We stumble upon this restaurant on Yelp and it was worth every bite! The pizza was delicious and so was the arancini. They also have really good beer. Stop by, grab a slice from the first floor then head upstairs to enjoy the deliciousness. read more

Really, really tasty thin crispy pizza. I tried the Vegetariana (with aubergines, courgettes, artichokes and mix peppers) The toppings were really generous and the veggies were all juicy and tasty. I is amazing value... Half a pizza costs from just under £7.00 - Mine was £11.50, but was sooo huge that I had half left to fill me up for lunch the following day. The place itself is like a pizza café, rather than a restaurant, but it's still a nice place to sit with a drink and pizza. If I am ever in this area for lunch I would definitely pop in for a slice. This is closer than the Notting Hill outlet for me, but I try very hard to resist the lure of freshly baked pizza, melting cheese and good quality meats. I've always ordered the non vegetarian pizzas and they have been lovely. They do have a wide range of vegetarian options too, not just a token 1-2. We have always opted for the freshly baked slices rather than a whole one baked especially for us, because it allows each of us to choose what topping we individually prefer. The desserts are very high quality and their coffee is perfect for me. Not overly strong like I find some Italian coffee places (where I ask for extra milk) and good tasting, well roasted beans. I'd walk in any day that I'm tossing my low carb choices out of the window. read more

Really authentic Italian fast food joint. Pizza, lasagna, suppli etc. about 8 tables upstairs to sit down. They also have gluten free crust for 2 pounds more. Other than the pizza, the rest of the food is precooked and heated in microwave ovens. read more
For me personally, the cheese used on a pizza is as important as the crust since it can make or break it. I was pleased the cheese here was of quality and was it melty, bubbling, had a bite to it which I love. You can easily share the smaller sized pizza with one other and even better you can each select toppings of your choice as they'll gladly accommodate a half/half. Prior to the pizza we shared a spinach and ricotta arancine (fried risotto ball). It was too bad this dish fell short in the taste department! It was the driest of arancines I've ever had and it was tragically bland. The worst part, the center was still quite cold. Perhaps we visited on an off night. A dipping sauce could have easily remedied its shortcomings, I thought. But I guess this would be a cop out since the flavors of the sauce will take over what you're really supposed to be tasting - the arancine. I'd come back but next time I'll be skipping the appetizers and go straight for the pizza. read more

This is a great place. They serve traditional, no fuss, Sicilian food pretty much all day. Especially on Fridays and Saturdays when they're open from 7:30am to 11pm, Arancina sort of works around what you're doing at night in Notting Hill. They have a very cool car in their window so you won't miss it and some sort of other transport (I'm assuming) to provide takeaways throughout their opening hours. For a light bite the pizzas are some of the best in the area and if you want something more hearty they do lasagne and the like and you can take it upstairs where they will throw it in your face for a laugh. Not really; upstairs there are tables and chairs so you can sit down, relax and enjoy good and genuinely authentic Mafia food. read more

This place (for Notting) Hill is really good for a bite to eat, especially to top up your energy levels after a hard day shopping in Portobello (its at the top of Portobello) Its not a hard place to miss as they have half a Fiat car stuck in the front window for £3.50? they do you a nice slice of 5 different varieties of Pizza, if you time it right you'll get it fresh (when it's best) otherwise they warm it up i the oven. Its a nice place try it you wont be disappointed PS they do other stuff as well like Arancina balls Risotto type stuff stuffed with sauces and meat I took a pic of the kind of pizzas they do and posted it ;) read more

What a lovely place to enjoy mouthwatering pizza! Plenty of toppings on the pizza and extremely fresh. We got the Vege pizza with artichokes, aubergine and peppers and I have never seen so much topping on a pizza before! Extreme flavours, didn't need extra herbs or chilli flake but all available should you want them. The only downside is the seating area is majorly cramped. You feel like your hair is going to go into the pizza on the table behind you! That's the only reason I had to give 4 stars. Nice, unique, authentic place nonetheless. read more

Go to Otto or get a pizza from M&S instead. The mozzarella is tasteless and the meats have the texture of vegan fake meat. My husband and I normally plow through a whole pizza...but we are underwhelmed to even eat a 2nd slice. I doubt I will be having pizza for breakfast as the leftovers are going in the bin. I don't understand how this place got so many positive reviews. read more
