Defintely recommend the pizza. The mozzarella sticks were not very good in my daughter's opinion. The lemonade is basically a small can of sprite. Late afternoon snack at this pizzeria restaurant and it did not disappoint. The purple onion thin pizza with a side of fresh grated parmesan cheese was good but could have been more well down per our order, but the fresh italian tomato salad was excellent - I think it was the dressing that saved the day. On parties with seven or more people they include a 12.5% service charge, but not the case today. They offer a large glass bottle of Tuscany water for a fee, and looked classy on the table next to my pizza. Visiting London today and stopped here on our way home. We thought it was a fast pizza place. So got seated and ordered. We got pizzas and other items. Food was excellent! We stopped by for a quick pizza dinner. Delighted they had a kids meal. It came with grapes and cucumber, pizza or pasta and a dessert. This is the bigger of the two Pizza Express restaurants on Victoria. Quite a bit bigger in fact, perhaps twice the size of the one opposite Victoria Station. It's pleasant enough, with the familiar Mediterranean-style interior of Pizza Express restaurants. I don't think Pizza Express make the best pizza on the planet, but they certainly don't make the worst either and, in their thin-crust, wider-diameter Romano pizzas, arguably make some of the best offered by the chain pizzerias. Further, unlike some of these other pizzerias, Pizza Express have revamped the menu in recent years, adding the Romano pizza mentioned, some great new toppings (a couple from customer suggestions) and some lighter-calorie options. They also have dependable desserts, and get this, offer menus in 20 different languages including Pirate, Klingon and Cockney. What's not to like? The only negative to be aware of this particular branch is that it can get very busy at lunch (particularly when Pizza Express is running one of their 2 for 1 deals) which combined with the large size of the restaurant, can slow down service. Dropped by for dinner in May-- terrible service. Stepped into the restaurant and had to flag down waiters to even get seated (they just kept walking past us, ignoring us while we waited at the entrance for minutes!). Once we got seated, our waitress gave us menus, but the table had no water as others did. The waitress showed up again a few minutes later asking about drinks, and was a bit rude when I asked what an Appletiser was (not a known brand in the US). After she took our order, the waitress disappeared, never to be seen again. After waiting for a very long time, someone finally dropped by with the Dough Balls Formaggi we had ordered, which were highly disappointing-- literally just tiny tasteless bread balls with some grated cheese sprinkled on top and a dish of butter in the middle. These were less satisfying than the bread that should come free at a place like this. Had two pizzas, which were dumped on our table an eternity and a half later. They had forgotten to slice one of them, and though we finally managed to flag down someone to ask for this to be corrected, it never was. Eventually we had to just cut it ourselves with table knives. The pizzas themselves (Margherita Bufala and another whose name I'm forgetting) were not very filling and not very good -- lacking in both flavor and substance. Definitely a waste of money and more so time. After we were done, we waited for a good 20-30 minutes to even get the bill -- asking several different employees did no good. I went to this branch on Christmas eve with my boyfriend who was stopping by from Victoria Coach station. It was a good walking distance away, 15 mins. The atmosphere was chilled, quiet and relaxing. Lighting was soft and not too bright/dark. Staff were quick (it wasn't busy at all on xmas eve obviously) but one waiter could've been a bit more cheerful. The food was delicious.
