Half salami and mushroom pizza

The food was great but our waitress wasn't. She was busy on her phone and trying not to make eye contact. Two other waitresses came to help our table. Once again the pizza was great. Just the young waitress wasn't

Mushroom slice

Incredible pizza, quick and kind service- try the mushroom! Whole pizzas are huge- we ended up trying a few slices. Looked like each slice was possibly fire cooked to order.

TL;DR: Decent pizza in London but definitely not anything amazing. I'm from New York, and the reviews of this place are over hyped. Parking/transportation: In a great area with lots of shops and restaurants. Not too far from the underground, and can easily be dropped off by taxi as well. Staff friendliness: Friendly staff. Environment: Nice ambiance. They left the door open when it was freezing outside. We sat right next to the door and it was cold. Bathroom: There is a bathroom available. It's small and wasn't too clean when I went to use it. Service/Quality: I expected more from a place that is reviewed as the best pizza in london. The flavors were mediocre. You can only choose between slices or a 20" pie. The slices are thin. My wife and I opted for the pie and we were able to finish the entire thing pretty easily. We got half margarita and half mushroom/ricotta. The mushroom slices were good, the others were really plain. Other notes: They provide you with a pizza cutter and expect you to slice it yourself, which I found to be odd.

Margherita Pizza plus Salami

Had some incredible pizza for London today at Homeslice in Neal's Yard. Enjoyed a Margarita and it was fantastic. Restaurant is a great spot in Covenant Garden and fills up quick so plan to get here early. Staff was fantastic.

Salami , Rocket & Parmesan and 1/2 cauliflower shawarma and cauliflower

This place was so great and reasonably priced. You get a huge pizza which our family of 4 split. You can order 1/2 and 1/2 of two types of toppings. We had the salami and the hummus for our two. They were both great. The sauce on the salami side was a little spicy so our kids didn't like it, but I thought it was great! The price was 20 euros per pizza you got the signature pizza which was 30 euros. The atmosphere is a hipster, punk type and ok for kids. If you are in the mood for pizza check this place out!

Margherita

Only got one quick mergherita slice, and while I had somewhat mixed feelings, I ended up liking it in the end. It almost looks like a New York slice because it's so big, but really this is an oversized Neapolitan -- the undercarriage isn't floppy but basically right above the borderline of sufficiently stable, and the crust is super fluffy. The tomatoes and basil did their job, but it was really the last few bites at the end (when the crust became a factor) that really brought me back into positive territory with this slice. With all the amazing pizza back home, it's hard to say I'd seek this out on a trip to London, but it's good nonetheless.

I always start with the standard slice at any shop to get a feel for their pizzas. This one was phenomenal! The pizza was crispy and the dough was flavorful without being yeasty. The sauce was not overly seasoned and the quality of the tomatoes stood out since the didn't add buckets of sugar to their sauce the mozzarella was melted and had a great richness that melded everything together. Lastly, that fresh basil on top really took this to the next level. The atmosphere is inviting and warm. Long tables mean opportunities to socialize and grab a drink. As a solo traveler, I always appreciate these things.

Half goat with shredded cabbage and sumac yoghurt, half 4-cheese with mini rye croutons.

If my mom suggests, on her own volition, to purchase a whole second pie after having demolished one whole pie (which sufficiently feeds 4 adults), because it's THAT good and she's willing to take it away back to our flat to save for breakfast the following morning, rest assured this place serves FIRE pizza. This pizza is LIT. How many more Gen Z adjectives for "DA BOMB" can I use to effectively convey to you, Reader, that this pizza is fan-frickin-tastic? Truly. It's near impossible to get my mom to deviate from her trusty ol' whole combo Costco pizza for $9.99, so her reaction is the absolute rubber stamp of approval. The restaurant is a little on the smaller side, so it gets crowded and there can be a line outside. You'll definitely have to share one of the long picnic tables, if you're a smaller group. The service is super friendly and accommodating. You can split the whole pizzas in halfsies. The only comments that can easily be fixed are that the music was a little too loud (hard to hear your peers) and there was no TP in the bathroom when I went.

Excellent pie - right up there with any pizza you can get for our style in LA, Chicago or New York. Beautiful location.

Pizza was cold but the hostess was colder. I feel like that sums it up. Nice looking oven and good location.

Oh my what a happy accident! Flew to London on last minute…read morebusiness. Met w Associates from Dubai and Australia. We had planned on going to a gem down the way but they were booked. Bilal had remembered an area nearby and we walked there. It was a rainy one and legging it was nice only because the rain mercifully slowed for a few minutes. We smelled something great. Walked for a bit and all three of us looked at each other and said... Let's go back to the wonderful smell! So glad we did. Our server spoke w Mo in Italian and was so sweet. The items are very reasonably priced. Check out the pics. All food was gone!

Instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, the owner became extremely rude and dismissive. Shockingly, he brought us the bill immediately, refused to serve the rest of the items we had already ordered (including the tiramisu), and directly asked us to leave the restaurant. We were calm and respectful throughout the interaction, but he refused to even listen to our side before abruptly ending the conversation with, "I'll get your bill," and telling us to leave. I honestly don't know whether he was irritated because we had an infant with us or because we requested a modification, but the behaviour was completely unacceptable and deeply disappointing. I still can't believe a restaurant in London could treat customers this way. Truly unbelievable service and an experience I would never want anyone else to go through. We initially ordered 3 items. The pizza was absolutely fine, so we never raised any concern about it. However, the pasta simply didn't suit our taste buds, so we politely requested a few alterations. Instead of handling it professionally, you refused to serve the tiramisu as well -- assuming we'd dislike that too and ask for modifications? Honestly, I wish I had taken a picture of the pasta to show how it looked. As a restaurant owner, you should understand that every customer has different taste preferences. And just for clarification -- we never asked for the pasta to be cancelled. In fact, we were even willing to pack it and take it home after paying for it, despite not liking the taste. You were the one who offered to cancel the remaining order, and we simply agreed. I would humbly request whoever is in charge to please check the CCTV footage and see whether we were ever rude while requesting alterations. Throughout the interaction, you only kept speaking from your side and didn't even give my wife a chance to explain. Is that really what good customer service looks like?

The upstairs is a corner view onto a street with dark woods and leather booths, while inside an open kitchen and a low-key young crew is putting out some simple, tasty food. Mostly appetizers, pastas and some pesce and carne dishes. Not a destination, but a good spot and one of the few restaurants on the street open on a Sunday. The downstairs basement hosts a cocktail bar that was closed on the Sunday we visited. We enjoyed the feel of the place, along with a bit of montepulciano d'abruzzo, some olives, a green salad, pork belly and a toothsome risotto with zucchini and prawns. Not a bad meal, priced pretty well, and a nice setting with friendly staff. We had such a good time that we failed to notice the police inspectress inside talking to the Paesan crew. The white and red police tape line both inside and outside the restaurant were in our peripheral view the whole dinner, but once outside, we noticed that a gigantic police triangle of tape took up the entire street corner, a female inspector was stationed there, and that down on the cobblestone sidewalk, a streetful of dessicated lemon and lime wedges lay from the night before, leading us to ponder, what exactly had happened here?

The specials all sounded fantastic but I plumped for dandelion salad and the pumpkin and goats cheese pizza. Utterly yummy! Not excessive portions just packed with flavour. The waitress was helpful and calm and the red wine warm and fruity. I'll come again for definites. There is a cocktail bar in the basement and a choice of some interesting sharing options on the main menu for groups. Prices are very reasonable and if my meal was anything to go by, the rest will be as good. I am well impressed.

The service was great, our server was very kind and patient to explain everything to us. We even were able to change my friend's order after ordering because I walked inside to look at the specials menu, so we changed her order to Lobster Ravioli (not pictured here). The garlic bread came fast and had the appearance of a personal pizza. It is EXTREMELY fresh garlic forward, like it is going to sit with you for hours, the server will absolutely warn you about this but it is damn good. Our food came after we completed our bread and was very good. The Veal Milanese was tender and crunchy. The penne noodles with marinara sauce was a great side to this dish.
