Cheap and fast, but unfortunately just not good at all. You can get a margherita for about 5 quid and anything with toppings can be a few pound more. They can usually turn out the pizza in 10 minutes or so even if you order it there, not sure how they are for click and collect. Drinks are cheap as well. The downside - it's really bad. Absolutely zero flavour and the crust is awful. I understand it's super cheap but it's also not really filling because I rarely touch the crust. You're much, much better off going to Sud Italian in Spitalfields where a few quid more can get you an amazing, amazing margherita also fresh to order. I came to visit london from the US and let me tell you this is probably one of the best pizzas I've ever had. It's light thin and so delicious. We ordered two pizzas the margarita and the tropicana both were fantastic. We also got cannolis and a salad both delicious. Popped in on the way home for some food and a coffee. Restaurant was pleasantly quiet, pizzas looked amazing. Got the coffee first but it was horribly bitter. Server kindly replaced it but with the very same coffee so it was a pointless exercise. I asked him to taste it but he wouldn't saying he didn't drink coffee. Great pizza although the options are pretty boring compared to other pizza places. Also dinking a star because I would be charged £1 for having the onions replaced by something else. Pizza Union is my favourite go-to place for when you need a quick, filling meal for a decent price. With a range of 12 inch pizzas going for between £5 and £7, and glasses of wine for less than £3, and in such a central location, you really can't go too for wrong. My favourite pizza would have to be the Formaggi which comes with a generous helping of several different cheeses - including blue cheese, so don't choose this if you're going to have a business meeting or a date - and the Manzo as the minced beef just tastes so good. It takes Pizza Union 3 minutes to make a pizza, and, to the best of my knowledge, they've usually been pretty quick even when the place has been packed. I've not been here at lunch time yet but there are signs which stipulate that customers are limited to four pizzas each during lunch so there is some crowd control going on there. If the pizza isn't enough to fill you up, you could opt for the nutella dessert pizza or a small tub of gelato to finish off. I'm usually full though so haven't had the chance to try them out despite my numerous visits here. read more

Personally this is my favourite pizza joint in the city. Not only are the crusts thin and crispy and the toppings fresh but for the price of no more than £6.50 a pizza it simply cannot be beaten! My personal favourite is Stagioni as I'm greedy and it's like having 4 pizzas in one, but the carne is also excellent! A few pointers: 1. The olives are great! 2. Definitely have a salad on the side! 3. Drinks selection is limited so don't go expecting a luxury glad of wine. 4. Who says London prices are extortionate? Well, they are, but thankfully Pizza Union has you covered for fast and cheap, 12 inchers right in the centre. Most of the pizzas are around 5.95 and although the ingredients are not inspired or very original, there are some interesting ones like the Calabria featuring mascarpone and Nduja spicy sausage. They have white pizza as well which can be a nice way to change things up. It's sharing bench seating and the drinks are as cheap and cheerful in the variety of the selection - couple beers and cheap wine. Really great for a group of friends when it's the end of the month and you're starting to use all the change you've been throwing into your bag / on your bedside table. read more

Whoop! Finally, thin crust pizza! I like that it's casual, and you pay upon ordering (no messy bills) and it's self service - the establishment function a wee bit like vapiano! For what you get, the price is cheap (£5 ish to £6.50 for a pizza) and potentially hard to beat in such a location. Oh, and they did sell gelato! The service was great, the girl taking our order laughed and joked with us and was super helpful. The restaurant itself was very clean and nicely decorated. I love this place. Awesome atmosphere, excellent food and good prices. So I used Yelp to sniff out a decent pizza place in central London and it didn't disappoint! The pizzas are freshly prepared and cooked with a good selection of topping available and all for £6 a pizza - sorted! The choice of drink is good (anywhere that sells Birra Moretti gets a thumbs up from me) and again reasonable (for London) prices on the bottles. The locally produced gelato is amazing, I highly recommend the coffee flavour. Also on the menu and defiantly worth trying if you haven't before is the Dolce 'pizza' which is a dough filled with Nutella and mascarpone, cooked then dusted with icing sugar and cocoa powder (think a sweet Nutella mini-calzone) - oozy Nutella heaven. read more

It's always really, really busy in here around lunchtime but the staff are so efficient and attentive that I never spend longer than five minutes in the line. You'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else in London offering an entire pizza for as little as £3.95. I came here on a work lunch and it was absolutely fantastic value for money plus that atmosphere is great whatever the occasion. The trouble when a place has stellar reviews like this is that we tend to expect too much. I love pizza even though usually it's deep-pan that floats my boat. I think the mains here are incredible value for the City (a filling margherita for £3.95) and the desserts are pricier but intriguing (I had the salted caramel/peanut dough ring - a bit goopy with dough, but lovely to try). I came here with a pregnant friend and they even reheated her pizza for her (she eats very verrrrry slowwwwlllly!) So a full 5 stars for kind staff and ambience. I think the quality of pizza is not the absolute best but still 4 stars - and quite Italian in style. I'll happily return and sample some other combos and update my review... read more

Fantastic pizza place. So far my favorite pizza in London. In terms of food, it was an excellent experience: great quality, large variety, vegan options, so on. You do have to be a little patient as there is no one that will seat you, and when the place is packed, as it was tonight, you have to roam around the restaurant hunting for an open spot. I've been here quite a few times as it's round the corner from my office and I'm a big fan. The pizzas are delicious and very reasonable for central London. Service is always pretty speedy and you order at the counter so it's perfect for a quick lunch. But seriously, the pizza here was great, it was ready within 5 minutes of ordering and it cost less than £6 and I would eat again without a doubt. Pizza Union is a great casual dining place. It's the same setup as ICCo on Goodge Street, order at the counter, collect a buzzer and your pizza is ready when the buzzer goes off. They have loads of big tables which can be used communally or are ideal if you're a big group. There was ten of us last night, we all ordered individually and the staff didn't even break a sweat. We ordered individually and the pizzas were out within about five minutes. This did mean that some of us were still ordering whilst others were eating but that's what I mean when I say it's casual. The pizzas are fired in a massive clay oven and are definitely better than their price would suggest. The wine was also decent, surprisingly considering a bottle is only £11.50. Crazy pricing for the area, I imagine it must be busy on weekday lunchtimes but on a Tuesday night it was really quiet. I'm certain I'll be back to find out. read more

My new favourite pizza spot in London! They are affordable, in a central location near Liverpool Street, and what's most important is that they have delicious and tasty pizzas. The atmosphere is relaxed and trendy You choose the pizza you like off of the menu board, then you're given a buzzy square thingy (I'm sure this has a proper name, but you'll know what i mean if you go here), the pizzas get baked in a large pizza oven and then you wait in suspense to see which of your friends buzzer squares will light up and give you a mild heart attack first (lots of laughs all around). Pizza is love, guys. Last week we decided to pay a visit to Pizza Union in Spitalfields, to get some cheesy, tomato-y, dough-y goodness and see how their 'Superfast' tagline holds up. Speed Unlike your usual city restaurant, there are no waiters and waitresses to take your order or bring your food out. Instead, you order and pay at the counter then take a small piece of plastic that buzzes and flashes when your order's ready. And from ordering to recieving our pizzas, it took around 7 minutes. Taste We ordered up a Vesuvio (pepperoni, green chillies, cracked chillis) and a Carne (beef, chicken, pepperoni, onions). Toppings were full of flavour and fresh-tasting. The fire-baked bases are VERY thin with a super crispy crust. Considering the speed and price of the pizza, the quality is actually very impressive. However, drinks-wise I'd avoid the house white as it's not that great - stick to beer or soft drinks. Price The prices at Pizza Union range from just £3.95 for a Margherita up to a maximum of £6.50 for ones with lots of toppings - which is excellent value for eating out. The rest of the menu is kept simple - with three variations of side salad (£2.95-£3.95) and three fillings for a warm dough ring dessert (£2.95-£3.95). Beer's from £3 a bottle, and wine's from £3.20 a glass. Total cost for two of the top end pizzas, a basic salad, garlic dip and two drinks was £21. Atmosphere With wooden tables, neon lights and exposed brickwork walls, Pizza Union Spitalfields definitely has a bit of a hip, 'Shoreditch-y' vibe - except it's actually pretty much slap-bang in the middle of the corporate, suit-filled city. Heading in on a Friday night, it was lively but not overcrowded and we managed to find a table easily enough. Pizza Union have got casual dining absolutely sorted - offering quality pizza at affordable prices.
