I needed a place for a party of 8 to have dinner before a play. I found Pizza Pilgrims on Yelp. I couldn't get their booking app to accept that party size, so I sent an email. It was quickly answered and the reservation was booked. We get to the restaurant a few minutes late (two stations were closed due to electrical problems) and we were greeted warmly. Our table was set and water provided. We ordered 1 kids meal (drink, individual pizza and ice cream), a few drinks and 3 pizzas. A Florentina, Margarita and Sausage-broccoli rabe. Everything was delicious! So good that we ordered an additional Margarita pizza. Service was friendly. The pizzas came out fast. I'm looking forward to coming back on my next trip to London. read more

A frequent visit for me on business trips to London, this has become a staple in my rotation of London restaurants when I visit. I am a big fan of Neapolitan pizza and this place represents the category well. The service is always fast and friendly and I've never had to wait for seating even on a bustling day. The menu has lots of different pizza choices and toppings though I typically just go for a margherita pizza, the ingredients are simple and fresh and bursting with flavor. The only note I'd make is to skip the ranch side. It doesn't hit like American ranch and its really not needed anyway with such a delicious pizza, it's kind of a mismatch. Either way, regardless of your topping order this is a must visit place for any visitor to London, with many locations around the city, its hard to miss! read more

Being from Buffalo NY I had to try some pizza. This place was amazing. Super flavorful and very affordable for a S/M which I shared with another person. Also came out fast. I was lured in by the promise of an 8 cheese pizza. So many cheeses! Ricotta, fior di latte mozzarella, Grana Padano, gorgonzola, provola, Parmesan and buffalo mozzarella, topped with a burratina. Can I differentiate that many cheeses? No but I do love a pile of mixed cheeses. The pizza did come pretty quickly, and I did like the cheeses and the bubbling crispy crust, but the pizza was a bit oily and pooled the oil which actually worked well when it dripped off and was good to dip the crust in. The crust was pretty thin and had to hold it on the bottom so it didn't collapse. The weight off the cheese was too much, so it was a delicious but delicate to balance pie. Overall it was quick service, decently priced, and tasty if a little messy pizza to share. The ambiance is a mix of old movie posters and pizza boxes that customers have drawn on. I'd recently arrived in London from New York and was looking for pizza that would be as satisfying as what I could find back home - Pizza Pilgrims did not disappoint! I loved the fun, campy vibe of the restaurant. I came during lunchtime but it was still pretty crowded and buzzy. I ordered a pickled cucumber side salad and a Fiorentina pizza, which was made with mozzarella, spinach, egg yolk, and crispy onions. The flavors were quite unique and the crust was thin in the middle and thick and chewy on the edges - just as it should be :) If I'd come closer to dinner time I would have definitely ordered a cider with it as well. The place was packed so we figured it must be good. Being in London for the first time in many years it's hard to know where to eat. We ordered a pepperoni pizza which was extremely salty and spicy and a margarita pizza which was kinda bland. We ordered 2 soft drinks and it ended up being kinda pricy for a hole in the wall and on top of that they added 12.5 percent service fee. 2nd trip to London, 2nd visit to this Pizza Pilgrims location. First visit was 5 stars, second visit was 3, so I bestow a 4. Both visits, staff was very friendly to 2 yanks, and the place has a really good vibe. Both times ordered a Bufala DOP and nduja. Both were so good I came back straight off the plane the 2nd time, but this time, the nduja came out hot and delicious, but the DOP was barely lukewarm when it hit the table, and was borderline cold by the second piece. Obviously one came out first, but there must have been a big lag in getting pie number two into the oven. I'll be back, London, and will give PP one more shot! read more

This was a race against the clock. We were originally meant to visit somewhere else but they were closed which pushed us back in time before our cinema trip. Pizza Pilgrims to the rescue! Now when I said this was a race against time I meant it - we had 30 minutes. We ordered within 5. The olives and arrived in 10. The pizza in 15. We finished at 25. We were out in 30. Now if that's not efficient service nothing is. The olives were really really good, strong in flavour, buttery - perfect! Now to the pizzas. Alex ordered the calzone and I ordered the special of the day, the Peppa pig! They arrived and were perfectly cooked. The calzone is particular was very unique - with the dough being a lot thinner than your usual calzones and double layers of filling. I had a try and it was a very very good calzone - plenty of flavour, plenty of filling! Now to my pizza, it was good - not the best I've had in London but I really enjoyed the pork on top (aka the peppa pig) It had a fantastic flavour and smokiness too it. 30 minutes. Good quality food. The pizza here is beautiful. Excellent flavors, fresh ingredients and a soft dough that come to together to form a celebration in your mouth. Honestly I wasn't super excited about pizza in London when there are so many amazing things to eat but when your very picky husband is on a trip with you sometimes you have to give in, boy am I glad I did! We just stumbled over this place. We weren't quiet sure what to expect when we entered but were pleasantly surprised when we realised they have a wood fire oven. (Nothing beats a pizza baked in wood fire oven) The place does look tiny with a few tables on top, but they do have seating downstairs. We sat upstairs. We ordered the 'Nduja' pizza. It was baked to perfection. Since they have an open kitchen plan you can watch your pizza bake. The staff were alert and swift on their feet. Visited once, the place was crowded but not fully booked. We waited for our order for 30+ minutes when it turned out the waiter forgot to place it in the line. So we had to wait 10 minutes more. After 40 minutes of waiting we finally had our pizza. The staff apologized and said that the pizza and drinks would be free of charge because of the waiting. We were walking around Covent garden looking for a new place to eat! I know there are many places in covent garden but we had tried most of them! Thats when we noticed this small pizza place ! At first I was not sure how it would be but when I entered I really liked the pizza ! We got a warm welcome from the staff and they got our order very fast , the pizza took a bit of time to come since it was made on wood so thats normal and worth it ! We got the Aubergine Parmesan and a Calzoni both were great , exact and perfect amount of ingredients and just wonderful taste !
