    Custom Omelet

If you are looking for a place that has museum quality artwork, this is not your place. If you are looking for a place that serves one of a kind dishes and drinks, you will be disappointed. However, if you are looking for a no frills place (aka diner style) that serves good basic food at a reasonable price, this is a place for you. The portions are not huge but they are filling. Most of the patrons seem to be from Leisure World and the surrounding area and they are known and welcomed by the staff - think Cheers. The staff are attentive to your needs. The Mrs. and I went in for breakfast. She had the custom omelet (ham, cheddar cheese, onions and peppers), while I had the Western Omelet. Both came with home-fries and toast (wheat or white). Both were properly cooked and tasty. We also had coffee, which was a bit pricey ($4) but you could drink as much as your wanted. We paid by cash, as to avoid the 3% card fee. Overall, a good place if you are looking for a good solid meal.

I was randomly in the area and decided to meet a friend for a quick bite. I happened to stumble upon Nancy's. It's pretty small inside and I was told to sit anywhere. It's a no frills type of place. I was greeted immediately and ordered a coffee while I waited for my friend to arrive. To eat, I got the Reuben melt and my friend got the patty melt. We both really enjoyed our meals. The melts came with fries and a pickle. It was exactly what you'd want from a diner type place. They advertise many pies so we decided to share one for dessert. We got the lemon meringue. It was good but a little too sweet. Overall, we enjoyed everything and was surprised with how affordable it all was. I'd definitely stop by again if in the area.

I wanted to try a local spot for breakfast instead of one of the national chains. The space is quaint and you seat yourself. There were two servers who were very nice. The food was ok. I wouldn't get the French toast again (a bit bland), but my dining companion enjoyed their waffle. I would go here if I was in the area and wanted a quick bite, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go here. Perhaps lunch is better.

Slice of bread with Corned Beef

Absolutely no idea what this is, i ordered a reuben and when I got home discovered 2 floppy pieces of wholewheat with Corned Beef between them, nothing else, literally nothing else .....

Vegetable omelet with crispy home fries

It's been awhile since we have been here. It was a quiet day here. The service was wonderful. The food was delicious. I got the good old stand by of veggie omelet and crispy home fries. The omelet was perfectly cooked and home fries were actually crispy. I asked for crispy home fries at a lot of places but always disappointed but not here. I will definitely return soon.

Nancy's was everything I hoped for in a diner. I have no idea what all of the 1 and 2 start reviews are about. The coffee was hot and delicious and the creamers are real half and half versus non-dairy coffee whitener. The omelet was made with fresh ingredients and was hot and delicious. The home fries were extra crispy just like I ordered and yummy. My friend had the Eggs Dillon which was scrumptious. The wait staff was prompt, friendly, and delivered our order quickly!! If I lived in the area, I would definitely come back!!

Overpriced and not fresh. Ordered corned beef hash (not fully cooked) with eggs and home fries. My girl had a lox bagel, bagel looked like from Shoppers with no flavor on salmon, needless to say the onion had the outer skin

This local restaurant welcomes all. The owner was a famous soccer player in India. Entertaining service from John.

It is widely regarded as an "old-school" diner, characterized by its narrow layout, chrome swivel stools, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The diner was opened in September 1982 by Nick and Sophia Markopoulos. Nick, who immigrated from Greece, had a long history in the restaurant industry before establishing this Wheaton staple. The restaurant has remained a family affair for its entire existence. While Nick has officially retired (recently celebrating his 75th birthday at the diner), the day-to-day operations were passed down to his children, George Markopoulos and Heather Markopoulos. The menu is centered on traditional diner staples with a few unique family recipes. Guests frequently praise the large portions and the "old-school" preparations, such as blueberry, banana, or chocolate chip pancakes, corned beef hash with eggs, and the "Meat Lovers" omelet. The menu also includes a variety of cold and hot sandwiches, house-baked ham, and their famous home fries. I have been to Nick's Diner many times in the past, but had not written about this "old school" diner. But what really sets this finer apart is the super friendly service and welcoming attitude of every server. Most dishes are prepared in their flat iron skillet, but the cooks manage to put out expertly prepared and delicious breakfast and lunch dishes. It is always a pleasure to order my favorite, the turkey club on toasted whole wheat with Swiss cheese and bacon, always served with a generous side of potato chips mounted on top of the sandwich. If you are looking for an authentic, old-school diner experience, I fully recommend Nick's Diner!

So we opted to sit outside because they said it was open and immediate seating. And we were on the last day of our vacation and planning to drive home after brunch. After getting sat outside, it took them 20mins to come outside to even speak to us. We immediately ordered since we had plenty of time to decide what we wanted. It then took an hour to get our food... ridiculous. Also, as we are sitting outside there were so many homeless people walking up and yelling at us so that was interesting. One even was coming up and asking people, including us, for money. So definitely do not sit outside if you don't want to deal with being yelled out by random people and forgotten by the wait staff. I would not recommend this place and won't be going back sadly.

She's funny, attentive, and gives honest food recommendations if you're undecided on the menu. She's also incredibly talented -- we watched her balance six cups of coffee to another table without using a tray! On our first visit, a Saturday morning, we ordered the blueberry pancakes (I love when the blueberries are cooked into the pancakes instead of just sprinkled on top), scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, turkey bacon, potatoes with onions, and coffee. Everything was affordable and delicious, so much so that we came back two days later. On our second visit, a Monday, we asked to be seated in April's section! She actually remembered us because we shared the potatoes the first time and she even asked if we wanted to share them again (yes, please... and she brought two small plates!). This time we had scrambled eggs, potatoes with onions, turkey sausage, turkey bacon, toast, and a biscuit. We even dropped some quarters into the tabletop jukebox for the full diner experience. I'd definitely visit again and have already recommended it to relatives who live in the area!

Tastee Diner is solidly in the latter category. The food is not particularly good, and not particularly cheap. It's just a very, very old room. Do yourself a favor.
