This place looks deceptively small from the outside and also when you first walk in - there's the long bar area. But there's a whole another side room with a really cool chandelier and tables - this pic is on the website. Plus there's a whole fenced-in patio in the back which also has quite a few tables and also a corn hole game setup. Has some greenery plants and lights. Nice for entertaining - and that is where the party was. It can easily fit about 20-30 people. We had cake for the birthday and people ordered drinks at the bar. The bartender was very friendly. Looks like a neighborhood bar where people know each other. They have some bar food like pretzel, hot dog - the hot dog was only $3 which is unbelievable! Anyway we all had a great time- played some corn-hole too!

Beyond that, there's pool and some very distinct atmosphere. You're here for the standard taps at rock bottom prices, ya heard? Don't come calling for craft or cocktails (well, maybe a rum & Coke). Have dollar bills ready, maybe deal some cards if you keep it on the level, rack 'em in the billiard area next room over, and peep the ship room itself in the back. (It was empty and dark when I visited, but I walked around anyway - felt like I wasn't alone, so bonus points for that creepy Amityville Horror feel.) I don't claim to know legit, hardcore Worcester, but this seemed like a small slice of it at the base of Green Street. See pics for ambience and decide accordingly if this is your cup of 'Gansett. (If you can imagine the 2010 edges of Washington DC's H Street district, you're in the ballpark.). *FYI: Four police cruisers passed by me semi-urgently at my Lamartine@Harding parking spot even as I drafted this review. I probably never would have found this place on my own, but I'm really glad I tried it!…read more One of my bosses is originally from Worcester, and her daughter was heading home for the weekend, so my boss asked her to stop at Vincent's and grab us some meatball sandwiches for lunch. She had been talking about how amazing their meatball sandwiches were, and since meatball sandwiches are basically my favorite food, I obviously had to try them. Before this, I had never heard of Vincent's. We looked it up and realized it's not really a traditional restaurant. It's a bar that serves food, and apparently their meatball sandwiches are a big thing. Another coworker of mine who is also from Worcester explained that this is a place people go to for drinks and food, and that they have some specific rules when it comes to ordering the sandwiches. When we called, we were told that they do takeout, but you can't actually place a takeout order over the phone. You have to go in and order it. I thought that was a little unusual, but my coworker said that's their normal practice. There is also a three-sandwich limit per person. My bosses daughter went in to order five for the office, so thankfully she had someone with her and they were able to order three each. Apparently, the three-sandwich limit is posted on one of their Google pictures, so I guess if you know, you know. I do wish they had a website or something that clearly explained the takeout process and ordering limits, because if you've never been there, you wouldn't necessarily know any of this. Now for the important part...the sandwich! My bosses daughter had about a 30-35 minute drive back to us, so I honestly expected the sandwich to be pretty cold by the time I got it. It was wrapped in foil, and somehow it was STILL warm when I opened it. I was actually surprised. And let me tell you...this was probably one of the best meatball sandwiches I've ever had. It's definitely different from your typical meatball sub. The meatballs are flat, and instead of a regular torpedo/sub roll, it comes on this thick Italian bread. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but I LOVED it. The combination of the bread and the meatballs was so good that I'm pretty sure I'm going to want my meatball sandwiches this way from now on. I can only imagine how good it would have been if I had eaten it fresh at the bar instead of 35 minutes later. So yes, I completely understand why my boss recommended this place. If I'm ever back in the Worcester area, I will absolutely be stopping at Vincent's. Just make sure you know the ordering rules before you go!

The steak tips were wayyy overcooked - we asked for medium and it was very well done. Same with the burger - very overcooked. The fries were very obviously from frozen. FRESH fries - from a potato! and make the mozzarella sticks less thick. Everything needs to be homemade... that's what makes customers coming back. Ohh no, if you are going to have a drinking night in Worcester, this is going to be the place you start out at or where you find yourself at the end of the night! Its always dark, has oNE pool table and 2 arcade games. If its not jam packed they always have a game of beer pong going in the back corner. I always end up standing because the stools are only so comfortable for so long.. SO many good memories here and not one of them includes paying a cover, even on an event night. I had my 2nd legal drink at this place "(lets not talk about the first) and Have even puked in a cup and gave it back to the bar tender ( who was super sweet and understanding) The owner of this place is always trying to get rid of Celtics tickets for like almost nothing. In the past few years they have made some updates, like a few more LCDs and having more contests where you will cools stuff. They always have 2 dollar shots ( select kinds) and the staff has always been good to me. Never give you a hard time about your ID, fairly fast service and they KNOW how to make a drink better than a bunch of places you could be paying more!! Place is definitely the 2nd student union for most of the area colleges. Yes, you will see lots of bros and floozies from the surrounding schools, but this place still consistently attracts the locals ( like yours truly) It looks like your gran dad's "nobody in here has bathed since last month" type of bar on the outside but its one of the many hidden gems of us young pioneers of Worcester.

It was a deep dark brown and very large. They served it hanging and with cheese and mustard sides. It was great. For an entree I ordered the chicken pesto quesadilla. Floored. It was crispy, and delicious. The pesto was really well balanced, and I love the sour cream and lettuce on the sides. This came with a side of queso too that was straight from heaven.
