Called and asked for pu-pu platter for two. Specifically asked if they had a platter for two. They assured me they do. I walked down to pick up, walked back (probably 10 degrees out, not that it matters to you or them). Open the bag, short on everything. Call to inquire, they completely deny the conversation. I walk back down to return food and ask for refund. They pull out every box, weigh it and count the items lol. We all know they chopped it up and put it in the next customers food. They were rude, nasty, and combative. Complete waste of time and energy. Stay away, stay far far away! I've been going there for almost 15 years, what a shame! We ordered at Thai Corner, right across the street, food was ready right in between the communist interrogation during the return at Lucky Gourmet. They do not respect customers, tell the truth, or or honor their word. I know what you're thinking but I'm that guy that tips even when the food sucks. We live in the neighborhood and this is our go-to Chinese food place. They are so consistent. No, it's not "high-end" like Nancy Chang's or exclusively vegan like Loving Hut, but it is always exactly what we are craving when we crave it. We usually get their hot & sour soup (simple, balanced & GOOD) and spring rolls... their teriyaki beef & chicken was also all I ever wanted to eat when I was pregnant. We see the family who owns/runs the place around the neighborhood--we like to support our neighbors and appreciate their food! read more

My favorite Chinese delivery in Worcester. The prices are fair, delivery times are short, and the food is delicious. They're Scezuan Chicken and Beef both have delicious sauce, the house Lo-Mein has an abundance of shrimp, chicken, pork etc. as opposed to just noodles like some other local joints. The Hot & Sour soup from here is a rainy day staple of mine. Delicious. My only critique is anything fried from here is excessively greasy (egg rolls, sweet & sour chicken etc.) by nature, anything fried will be greasy, but I don't want it dripping with oil/soaked all the way through the batter. I enjoy this Chinese take-out restaurant very much. I have been going here for years, and usually get delivery and rarely come in to eat. However, I must say the place is spacious and lots of seating for a take-out restaurant, but preferably, I like to eat my "Chinese food" at home. The service is quick, friendly, although sometimes I feel a bit rushed, but only on busy days like Friday nights. Otherwise, on a regular given weekday, the service is quick as well as the delivery (within the time they've given us - usually for me it's 20-30 minutes and they make it on time or before!) The food quality is good, although you cannot expect too much from a take out restaurant. What I like about it is the fried rice isn't oily and all packed in it's grease like other take-out restaurants. Also, their chicken wings are delicious! I get my wings their most of the time if I'm going to a party or cookout/potluck. What is most notable is their crab rangoons! Can't beat them anywhere. They are delicious, and one of the best. With Chopsticks choices for American Chinese are somewhat limited in the woo. I often avoid these sort of storefront takeout places but I gave this a shot and really liked it. You're not getting authentic Chinese, but you're getting the stuff we American's think Chinese food is. Solid Crab Rangoon and I love the Bourbon Chicken-- LOVE it, although it looks more like pork strips than chicken. Still, good solid food-- the eggrolls are nice too. I'm a big fan and the staff is very friendly. Decor wise, you are not getting a second date if you have your first one here, but it's the food that matters and this stuff is solid. read more

I've driven by this place a million times and never tried it. Tried to order from our regular place today (who I haven't been really happy with the last few times) and once again the girl taking the order was a jerk so I cancelled the order. On our friends advice we tried Lucky Gourmet. Nice fresh pork fried rice! Didn't taste stale or old like a lot of places. We also got garlic chicken which had lots of white meat and tons of veggies. Really good. Glad we have a new place! And they were nice and the place was clean. read more

After order online for a pick up and with no parking on June St, I parked in the rear that had spaces with no unauthorized parking signs. I hit 7-11, which is next door with its own parking lot, for a couple of iced teas, and observed a Lucky Gourmet employee/owner peering at me through the window while I was in the checkout line. I advised him I had a pick up order at Lucky's. When I returned to my vehicle after picking up my order, an employee from the Eagles Coffee Club next door said no parking. I advised him I was a Lucky's, but he said he did not speak English. I opened Lucky's kitchen door, had the owner come out, and confirmed I was in Lucky customer's parking space. After finishing the meal, I examined the receipt and found Lucky's charged me a $2 delivery charge (they might as well have charged me for parking) and $1.25 more than the menu price for ribs. Lucky's was willing to refund the $2 and stated that they need to make new menus for the price increases. I advised them I would not be returning. The food (boneless ribs, house fried rice, lobster sauce) was okay, nothing stood out. However, the shrimp w/ lobster sauce was a bit disappointing (tasted like egg drop soup with shrimp dropped in). read more

Lucky Gourmet is the perfect word for this place because the food is good...if you're lucky. I have eaten there twice. One time they had a decent hot and sour soup although it was mostly broth and heavily on shaved broccoli and tofu chunks...but it had a good spice to the broth. The rice was rather uninspired but again, the dish of chicken with garlic sauce, actually had a bit of a spicy bite to it. That's rare. The other time I went I got steamed dumplings, which were oddly very sweet. That and I ordered a Chef's specialty...and it was terrible. The beef was so tough and chewy...it was inedible. The key problem was the second time,I came in the late afternoon and some girl that looked like she was likely the family's daughter, no older than 20, did all of the cooking by herself. The first time an actual cook prepared my dishes. It's very much a small family place. Another problem is the grandma (I assume) simply sits around. Order pickup....never wait there. She sat there and stared me down the entire time like I was a criminal. It freaked me out. Food and consistency needs a little work as does the atmosphere. read more

Best Chinese food in Worcester. We threw away any other menus we had from other places. Their crab rangoons are stuffed full and delicious and fresh. My husband and I both LOVE the Szechuan Beef. Eggrolls are fantastic as are the spring rolls. We try to order something different each time we call. The only time I was disappointed was when I ordered the Butterfly Shrimp. The description says jumbo shrimp wrapped with bacon and was in egg plain fried on a bed of onion w. special Peking sauce. What I got was a container with about 4 shrimp that were not wrapped in anything, the bacon was limp and seemed like it was just stewed in the sauce. The flavors were there...but it just wasn't what I expected from the description. It wasn't bad...just disappointing. I'm still giving this place 5 stars because every time we call, they're friendly and helpful and the delivery driver is awesome! We won't go anywhere else for Chinese...Just had it again last night. I can't get my husband to order anything but the szechuan beef...but last night I ordered one of the all day specials. The chicken wings were crunchy on the outside and moist inside, the Beef Teriyaki was fantastic and tender and the spring roll was so good. All that on a HUGE serving of pork fried rice which is always good on the reheat. We always order for delivery. Love this place!!!! read more

A pretty good local Chinese place. I ordered take-out for my first experience on a whim. It was ready to go pretty quickly for a Saturday night! I ended up getting crab rangoons, veggie lo-mein and chicken fingers. Everything was quite delicious, warm and at least tasted fresh. No complaints here. read more

I ordered delivery, which took almost an hour on a Thursday... their chicken fingers were great, and arrived hot, which was nice. Crab rangoons could have been cooked for another 30 seconds or so, but were still enjoyable. The General Tso's chicken was good, most of it still crispy, however their fried rice was bland and dry. The wonton soup was also pretty bland. All things considered I would give them a second try, and they are certainly the best Chinese that delivers to my neighborhood! read more

Rather enjoyed this place. It's right near the corner of June and Chandler. Quiet place, there are tables but id imagine they do mostly take out business. I ordered a combo meal that came with general tsos, chicken fingers, rangoons, and pork fried rice for about $8.40. I also tossed in an egg roll for only $1.40. Everything came out quick and hot and the tsos had a nice bite to it. Huge portions. Minus one star because they only provide packets of duck sauce and hot mustard. No real sauce. Ordered two dishes, one spicy the other not, and an appetizer. I could not tell the difference between the two dishes as far as flavor. One dish was advertised as containing shrimp. It had two shrimp in the entire container. When I called the Restaurant, due to a severe language barrier, all I could make out was that shrimp are "hard to get." Cuts of meat were poor, lots of fat and/or gristle. Fried stuff was OK but very very greasy, the grease soaked through the paper bag they had originally packed it in, so they put a plastic bag over it. BUT the delivery driver was very polite. That is the only reason this is not a one-star review. read more
