I generally stop on my way home Friday nights for Chinese takeout. I've had good experiences with China Sea in the past, so this evening I figured...Why not BIG MISTAKE Was in the mood for wonton soup, pretty much a standard. Have to say worst soup ever, little more than hot water with dumplings. Totally, completely and absolutely tasteless. My all time favorite is Chow Fun, wide rice noodles with meat and vegetables. Again, huge disappointment. While there was plenty of noodles, chicken, pork, a few shrimp and vegetables. Large portion, but once again totally tasteless...like the chef forgot all/any spices in the food..bland, waste of $$ There are far better places in Worcester, which serve hot, fresh, well seasoned. Stopped here randomly traveling and woah super good!! I love the yellow rice, super flavorful and unexpected. Love the huge egg roll over all super good!! My whole group loved their food. Also the optional tip is so nice, it's great seeing some places still being affordable :) read more

The food and service are very good. I have been eating Chinese food in this restaurant for several years, and the quality is very good.

Food: My favorite was the honey walnut shrimp, they have giant size shrimp with delicious sauce over it. The general tso chicken was a bit on the dryer side, but it's still edible. Both came with rice. We also got a large house lo mein which had so much chicken veggies and shrimp going on which was a plus. Service: I called in and it took about 20 minutes to be done for pick ups Ambiance: it's pretty small in there with your typical wooden bench decor. Nothing too particularly special. Location accommodation: it's right on route 20 next to the Burlington. They have plenty of parking. read more

The food is amazing from China Sea. If you haven't eaten here, you HAVE TO. The workers are always super nice and friendly. We always get the Pu Pu platter and there's always so much delicious food. I also tried their Chicken Low Mein and it was very delicious too. Their crab Rangoons are just out of this world. I always have to fight my family to get the last one. They have something called Honey Walnut Shrimp (similar to the Panda Express one), and just as an allergy alert, there is pineapple, but overall, super friggin amazing. My wife was in the area doing some Christmas shopping so she thought we should give it a try. The place was nice and clean! My food was hot and ready when I arrived which was great service but it wasn't anything to write home about. The crab Rangoon was sweet which is something my wife indicated as really different (I don't eat them). The chicken fingers for my sweet and sour chicken was pretty greasy and, I'm not sure why, but my wife took all the pork out of her yellow pork friend rice. It was definitely a different experience but I will say they are generous with the sauces, the white rice wasn't over or undercooked, and the spring roll was also very good (however, I wasn't expecting the pieces of mushroom in it). I don't think I'll go back but I wouldn't discourage folks from trying it because we all have a preference and while this isn't mine, for the price, I wouldn't say it's a completely bad deal, it just wasn't what I'm used to. read more

If I could I'd give 10 I did pickup and had 2 combo meals and rangoons. BEST crab rangoons I've ever had. The rice is and everything was just so good. My food was ready super fast and also the fortune cookies had awesome deep little messages not like the boring vague ones. We tried 3 main dishes and spring rolls...all of which did not have ANY Flavor except the garlic sauce was WAY WAY to sweet. Until tonight food had been excellext, tasty, fresh, quality all the way First time ordering since COVID and a total disappointment I'll review by item Appetizer plate Crab Rangoons were good, egg roll soggy and greasy, sauce for the boneless ribs entirely too sweet, and the fried wings were a disaster. Tasteless and totally overcooked, dry and like biting into shoe leather Steamed dumplings too doughy,chewy and bland Ordered two of my favorites, chow mei fun and mushu, both terribly disappointing The mei fun was dry, bland tasteless, chicken was too dry to eat The mushu was a total disaster. Soggy vegetables, a few scraps of meat, literally floating in a tasteless soup, was more like a poor quality chow mein When spending almost $40 for a meal, I do expect at least some degree of quality I may chalk this up to a bad night. The lady that always answers the phone (I'm assuming is the owner)?? Is very nice and polite and The delivery driver think his name is Lee is very nice. Food is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Scallion pancakes and crab rangoons are so good. Orange chicken is good. It's very expensive though and delicerys usually take forever. One time the guy brought me the wrong order and it wasn't Lee, so he didn't speak English and made everything difficult. The food is not what I had expected. The fried rice contained only bean sprouts & was a glaring yellow color. The pork in garlic sauce was gelatinous & not very flavorful considering the copious amount of sauce. The veggies were the best part. The General Gau's was very sweet & was not spicy -- at all. I know it's an entirely Americanized dish -- but I still wanted some heat to it. We'll give them a few months to break in their new business... but I'm still grieving the loss of China One :( read more

My.daughter and I love China Sea. It is clean and the staff is so frindly. The food is good and the servings are generous. So much better than some of the more expensive restaurants in Worcester. Just had wonderfully crisp pan fried peking ravioli. Our main course it's chicken lo mein and kung pao chicken. The lo mein was filled with chicken and veggies, much more than at other restaurants. The kung pao was spicy and had just the right contrasr of textures. If you Peter good food over fancy decor, this is an excellent choice. read more

It's always Christmas at China Sea! I order the vegetables (always fresh and crispy), beef, pork, and tofu for the most part. The chicken is not my favorite however. The yellow color of the fried rice is kind of old school, but does taste quite good! I really like the crab rangoon here too. I admittedly don't taste much crab in them at all, but I still really like them. They are crispy, chewy, and creamy all at the same time. It's a quick drive from my home so the convenience is also a plus. The young ladies who work the counter here are generally very friendly. They delivered to the Hampton Inn in Auburn for me, which was the primary reason I ordered. When the food arrived, I was shocked at how much flavor it had. The pork fried rice is delicious, the spare ribs and the crab ragoons are good. I don't like the beef terriyaki or the vegetables in the sauce. I order here about once every two weeks. Waiting in line with a couple dozen other folks. We called in our order and they told us 45 minutes. I arrived to both doors appearing to be locked , but just very hard to open. It was hard to get to the front of the line because so many people have been waiting for a long time. One gentleman's wife called in an order at 4 o'clock and by 7:30 had still not received the order. I was not about to wait that long, but I was going to wait for a little bit. The phone kept ringing and the ladies kept answering to take more orders. I finally made it up to the register all thanks to a young gentleman who opens the door for me and politely explain the situation to not only myself but every newcomer that came through that door. God bless him. He had been waiting for two hours. I gave the lady my phone number for my order. No order number existed for me. Girls kept coming out with food saying order number this order number that and would not tell anyone what was in the order. One of those orders could possibly have been mine or someone that was standing next to me who was also not assigned a number. The girls at the register were not just very rude, but downright IGNORED us. Anytime I asked a question they would answer the phone or walk back into the kitchen and completely ignore me. Folks in line were sweet and every time someone got food we'd all clap for each other and say Happy New Year! I had enough of waiting so I headed over to Price Chopper to pick up some rice vegetables and chicken to stir fry for my husband and I for New Years Eve instead. I walked back over to the restaurant and went inside the door and showed the folks I was standing in line with for more than an hour what I had purchased. Everyone shouted hooray! People were jolly and generally in a good mood. I was very disgruntled at how I was treated. I was completely ignored on several occasions. If I had known that I was going to not have an order number or receive this kind of treatment I never would have ordered. The food is generally pretty good, but the last time I went in a couple of days ago I ordered this string bean with rice and not only did they not have string beans but they substituted with what I thought was just broccoli and garlic sauce. It ended up to be broccoli carrots mushrooms and a whole bunch of other vegetables thay I was not anticipating. Everyone orders Chinese food on New Years Eve and this establishment has been here for years. Get it right. If any lesson I've learned it's that I will never order from this place at a busy time; possibly not ever again because of how they handled it.
