I decided to look on Yelp for dinner. It was my first time ordering from this place and I wanted somthing lean and somewhat healthy. Living in the bronx for 2 years now I never came across this place, (that's odd because my husband and I are restuarant junkies) anywho..... Instead of personally driving there I ordered through Yelp which was fast and easy saw a picture of what I wanted and the price was reasonable, was skeptical on the wait time because I was straving and the wait time was 30-40 mins but I have to say the food from the picture looked appealing so I had to try it out. To my surprise the food came very fast (thank god) I have to say the grilled chicken was the best I tasted in weeks, so moist and tender and seasoned to perfection and the roasted potatoes was delicious also the salad with the feta cheese was amazing. The only things they forgot was my peta bread, I was a bit disappointed but I'm trying to loose weight again so I guess the potatoes was enough carbs. I will order again from this place anytime. Thanks!

We ordered twice from here in a week. First time, I was feeling brave and wanted to try something new! I came across Nana's kitchen under Mediterranean category and realized that it has mainly Albanian cuisine which is apparently very close to Turkish cuisine. They have Quofte like we have kofte, their suxhuk is same as our sucuk, they serve feta cheese along the salad, their bread is like our pide, their rice pudding is like our sutlac, list goes on and on. So You get the picture of how similar it is. I was wondering if they could satisfy our high expectations, and ordered kofte plate for my husband with a combination plate( kofte and sucuk) for me. The delivery arrived within the time window. Wow and the kofte tasted amazing. It was well cooked, juicy and has very fulling portions. I didn't like the sucuk a lot- mainly it is me being picky here with the need for particular spices that I want to taste in the sucuk. I ordered baklava and rice pudding as a dessert. Baklava had pecans/chestnuts which I am kind of allergic but my husband liked it. (I like more the pistachio filled baklava- which I can try if they ever put in the menu) I tried the rice pudding: it was very mildly sweet and fresh. I am not a sweet tooth and it satisfied my need for something semi- sweet very well. Overall , The portions were just right. We felt full -not being overfull. Today we ordered again- kofte and quesdia with chicken this time. Again everything was delicious and very timely delivered. So I have all the reasons to love this place- good food, timely delivery and reasonable prices. I definitely recommend Nana's kitchen for those who want to taste good, authentic Albanian/Turkish food in the Bronx.

This was my first time trying Albanian food and I came in knowing nothing about what Qebapa is (Albanian sausage) or a lot of other things on the menu meant but our server was really nice and answered all our questions politely. We started with water, I am not sure if they serve tap water or not but our server got us bottled water, which was $1 each. Me and my friend shared the combination platter ($13) - qebapa(5 pieces), Suxhuk(2 pieces) and Qofte(2 pieces) and they were all amazing and had great flavor. It comes with salad, home made bread and feta cheese. The bread and cheese were amazing and the sausages were made fresh. I highly recommend trying the combination, it can be easily shared. The food is not expensive, you get a good quantity for the price you pay. I just think the food was a little saltier and greaser, but that's my personal preference/opinion. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and will go again when I'm in the area.

Our group of six ended up having a little bit of everything from sausage dip and pepper dip to Albanian dumplings to the Mix Grill Platter, and everything that we ordered was delicious. I don't think that we were able to finish everything, and we ended up taking some stuff home. However, it truly felt authentic and It felt real. We also paired that with some Albanian wine, which was delicious as well. it was a very homey location for people to come try some new food and have a hilarious and great time. I'd also be remiss if I don't call out that the bread that they gave was delicious, so light, so airy and that we were begging for more after the first round. They pair so well with the dips that we got and trust that I'll be back for more of that alongside the entire menu.

It was my first Albanian dining experience - the restaurant seemed traditionally set up with Albanian decor and (what I'd imagine) music. It was quite easy to get a table for evening dinner though they do take reservations. They have a large dining room in back with numerous tables and decor hung up. The staff were warm, welcoming and quite attentive throughout the meal and helpful for recommendations. The menu offers nice descriptions of dishes and of cultural significance for certain ones as well. I started off with a yogurt dish and bread - the bread seemed fresh out of the oven in being hot and steamy when cracked, revealing a soft interior. The yogurt was light and refreshing and helped balance spices in the mains. For starter I got the Fli- a multilayered pancake slice with layers of crepe that was primarily buttery. It didn't have a strong taste but went nice with yogurt. For the main I got the skenderberg - veal filet mignon stuffed with cheese, a crispy potato exterior wrap and covered in cream paired with potatoes and sliced peppers. This dish was excellent and very filling with strong flavors - tender, juicy meat, creamy hot cheese and cooler vegetables to balance the hot temperature and strong flavors. I was so full I deferred dessert though they have a few options. Overall a great meal with a large menu and great dining experience, I would definitely return! They have a location in Manhattan I haven't checked out, but per the staff that location is basically identical in menu but more expensive.

My husband arrived at 7:04 PM. The food was not ready. He was repeatedly told vague timelines ("a little while," then 7:15 PM), none of which were accurate. The manager disappeared into the kitchen, leaving him waiting with no updates. By 7:48 PM, after over 40 minutes, he left without the food. During that wait, other customers were seated, served, finished their meals, paid, and left -- all while two simple sandwiches could not be produced. I spoke directly with the manager twice. Instead of taking responsibility, he argued about the pickup time, minimized the delay, and only offered excuses and after-the-fact store credit. No proactive communication. No apology. No basic follow-through. Delays happen. This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Order takeout elsewhere if you value your time.

Once alerted that my order was ready, I pulled up and grabbed a metered spot right in front. As I entered, the shop it was empty but the staff was busy working on online orders in the open kitchen. Seating is available at a couple tables and counter top. I grabbed a seat as I waited because my order wasn't actually complete. Staff was pleasant but clearly behind on orders. Once completed I grabbed my order and headed out. I went with the #5. Breezin- strawberry, pineapple, peach, w/ orange juice base and I added banana. Overall a local spot offering healthy options on the go. I went with the Captain Jack wrap with an impossible burger as the protein, vegan mozzarella, sweet potato french fries, lettuce, and bbq sauce. This wrap blew my mind. As soon as I pulled it apart the cheese just stretched across both wraps. The i.possi ke burger and sweet potato fries blended beautifully, and it had just the right amount bbq sauce to not feel over-saturated. I highly recommend it.

I can tell you that will never happen again because they seem to short patrons. We all ordered rice platters and everyone got decent-sized portions. My lamb kofta was abysmal. They gave me three small, dry ass pieces. Everyone else's platters were full of proteins. If they ran out of kofta they should have given something else or let my husband know. My daughter had a full piece of salmon filet, my husband received lamb and chicken mixed grill and it covered his rice portion, and my son had a full serving of lamb kebab. What they served for my order was obviously missing meat. They don't even give the actual "white" sauce - it's like a low-budget ranch and the hot sauce is probably bottled Red Hot brand. The rice was decent and there was a lot of red onion, cole slaw and tomato salad - much more than there was meat. If they're sending food to the same home, they should do a better job of ensuring that the meals are comparable. This was a terrible thing to come home to, after a long day working with patients. Never again.
