They gave me a big portion of fresh wasabi which I appreciate since most places out here barely give you any even though you're paying for it. The menu was MASSIVE. The rolls are super big. Over the summer I went here twice with my daughter as they are in walking distance of my apt complex. I was not disappointed the service was exemplary, The food was flavorful and the portions OMG most places you go the rolls are small not here the rolls were bigger than other places. Nanami looks like a sushi spot, but it's really Mexican fusion in disguise. Most rolls are stuffed with cream cheese, jalapeños, and spicy sauces. The rice was dry, and the fish didn't taste fresh. If you're into sushi that are fusion, maybe this is your thing. But if you're looking for authentic Japanese sushi, this isn't it. I was disapointed with the sashimi. Try and let us all know. On top of that, the service was rushed and unwelcoming. Staff barely acknowledged us, and our server seemed annoyed when we asked questions about the menu. Visited here for the first time today, Aug. 30th. We ordered 2 bento boxes at $15.50 each. We had a beef and a chicken entree. It came with miso soup and it was loaded with tofu and nori, a pleasant surprise as other sushi restaurants give half the amount of portions in their miso soup. I might add that the service and presentation of the food, plate service and cleanliness were above par. Our server Jessica was pleasant, efficient and prompt. She was knowledgeable and if she didn't know the answers to our questions, she found out the answer. The bento box was nicely presented with more than adequate portions. One standout was the tempura .Our only concern was that the chicken and beef were overcooked, a bit dry and chewy. I did mention this to the owner and he thanked me for my feedback. This was our first (and final) trip to this Nanami sushi restaurant and was totally disappointing. Even on arrival, the staff seemed uninterested and unfriendly. We did have some simple questions about the menu as we were new customers, but instead of being helpful, the manager Danny was off-putting and rude--almost as though we were imposing on them by asking for clarification of what we were ordering. To cap it all, when we asked nicely about one of the dishes, we were addressed in a condescending manner and spoken to with attitude. Like they did not want new patrons or individuals who were not used to their menu. There is no justification whatever for talking back to patrons or making them feel unwanted. The food was only okay at best, but the terrible customer service really ruined the whole experience. There are several other sushi places that do actually care about their customers and will treat them nicely. Do not go here if you enjoy being treated poorly. This is my husband and I's favorite sushi spot in town. We moved here from Orange County back in 2021 and wanted something that was as good as our favorite place in OC, and this place is better! This is our go to date spot, and the first place I wanted to go after having my baby this year! The wait staff and chefs are so kind and the food is delicious. Our food arrived pretty fast and the food was delicious! The red dragon roll has a smoky and tangy flavor to it. The longostino is heavy and has a lot bang for your buck. The Alaskan tasted very refreshing, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the cream cheese in it (but that's just my personal preference). Our go to favorite for Sushi in town, and always on point. Highly recommend and one of my restaurants in town period, regardless of cuisine.

Unfortunately, we had to make a move away from Hemet. But, the food had been great. Not the price as it had gone up a bit too much.

My deep fried roll was undercooked and when I told the waitress her response was "we won't be taking it off the check." Not to mention the miso soup was a mid temp and not hot at all. they could work on the way they respond to customers and customer issues seeing as I was not even offered to replace my roll or soup. read more
