I did because I have a bunch of knots around my shoulder blades. Then she asked if she could step on me, of which I had no problem with. 60 minutes and $65 (cash) later I was drooling from how relaxed I felt and how thorough she was in getting my knots out. I will be returning to Swan on a regular basis.

What an amazing, much needed experience. I came here based on reviews and asked for someone a bunch…read moreof reviews mentioned, but they were unavailable. I was a walk in and didn't have time to wait. I instead got Saline, who was AMAZING. She truly listened to everything I told her, made her presence known throughout the massage but not too much, so I was able to fully relax. I cannot say enough good things about this massage. The space itself was cramped and no frills and some of the pressure is on fellow GUESTS to keep their voices down (please keep this in mind!) but it has everything. The space felt clean and cozy. I went for a 1.5 hour massage which felt like a splurge because it was longer than I normally do, but their prices were so reasonable and I had just come off a very long work week that it felt needed. The massage was so incredibly relaxing and left me in a little bit of pain in a good way. I knew Saline had found a lot of my deep knots, so there was no way for it to be without pain, but every fit of it was so worth it. It was so relaxing and I left feeling 100x better than when I came in. It was a little hard to find because it's on a small strip mall, but now that I know where it is I won't miss it. Highly recommend this spot!

She wasn't in town, and the front desk recommended Michelle instead. Best surprise ever. I have been getting massages for years, and this was on another level. I was brought to tears at random moments in the session. Michelle used techniques I've never experienced before. If she asks to use her feet, say yes. Trust me. The level of skill, intuition, and passion she brings to her work is rare. You can feel that she genuinely cares about what she's doing. I left feeling reset in a way I can't fully explain. Phenomenal. Truly 10 stars.

I wish he had done my neck too. I appreciate that this was the perfect amount of time since I came for a foot massage I wanted that to be the focus and it was!!! No rubbing of the calves like so many other places. He did my feet the whole time other than my traps (while my feet soaked). I do wish he has spent time on my heels, lateral and dorsal foot but he focused solely on my arches. They must have needed it bc they felt SO fantastic when I left. Absolutely recommend this place and can't wait to return. FYI they offer a punch card. $53 for 60 min

Don't let the name fool you...this isn't just foot massages. They offer full body massages too, which is what I came for after multiple friends recommended this spot. Pricing is very reasonable -- I paid $68 (with card) for a 60-minute massage. You can also request light, medium, or hard pressure when checking in. My therapist Ivy, was fantastic. She really focused on my problem areas: neck, shoulders, and back - and I left feeling noticeably better. The front desk staff was also very friendly and welcoming. Just know this is a no-frills experience. There aren't fully enclosed private rooms...massage areas are separated by curtains, so you may hear other clients. If you're okay with that, the value here is hard to beat. Overall, great massage and I'll definitely be back.

Afterward, my partner mentioned he received hot stones and additional services that I did not receive, even though we both booked the same Thai massage. My massage was average, while my partner said his was great. I also didn't feel like the space was the cleanest, but for the price, it was acceptable. My main concern is that we booked the same service but had very different experiences and treatments. I believe the service should be consistent when booking the same massage.

ASK FOR JJ! I came…read morehere to redeem my fragile self after my last horrific massage--which we've all agreed was a learning experience. I had just landed in LA after a six-hour flight. Snow wrecked the team's plans, my bones were screaming, and my inner voice said: Koreatown. Massage. Now. The very friendly girl at the Moxy front desk recommended Silver Lake Spa and casually dropped the words "mid-week special." $55 for one hour. Sign. Me. Up. No questions asked. Just one boundary: if I get poked, I'm out. The place is modest and unassuming. JJ was my therapist. Between my moaning, grunting, and aggressively pointing at my neck and shoulders (note to self: don't lift weights the day before a six-hour flight), we agreed on a relaxing Thai/Swedish combo. Friends... JJ knew exactly what she was doing. She found knots in my skull. My actual skull. Then proceeded to perform some kind of kung-fu Thai magic where I felt what used to be my brain turn back into mush--in the best way. She moved to my shoulders and back, mixing deep Thai stretches with light kneading, locating muscle kinks like five-carat diamonds and polishing them until they no longer existed. At one point I'm fairly certain I was purring. HR would not approve. Then came the oil and relaxation portion. Pure bliss. She was gentle, focused, and so intentional that I may or may not have teared up slightly. One hour was simply not enough. I could've moved in. If you live in LA--go see JJ. If you're visiting--go see JJ. It was a glorious hour, and I'm still wiping the drool off my face. This girl is going straight to bed. But I will find JJ again. Just don't tell HR.

The walking on the back may have been the best I've experienced. Everything felt very intentional to the needs of my body. The only thing that was off putting. You pay before your service and at the end you tip the person on Venmo/cash. The suggested tips are a bit high. The lowest recommendation was more than 20%. Although they don't say anything to you, at the end of the massage, the masseuse is waiting there with your water/tea. If for some reason you didn't want to tip, I could see it being a very awkward exit. Or if you simply can't afford the tip amounts they're recommending, it could be an awkward exit. The bed was clean and if you're a little chilly ask them to turn on the warmer. I was excited to learn this was an option. Overall great spot. I plan to go on the regular.

It seems to have downsized --probably an effect of the pandemic, but also the overall feel of the business has changed drastically. There is no receptionist to greet you when you come in. They ask for payment up front. An electronic voice greeting goes off TWICE every time the door is opened, which you can hear from the massage room EVERY TIME. The same four minutes of music playing on repeat was honestly a little distracting/annoying. Weird fluorescent lighting in the massage room doesn't help. Overall, I really wanted to overlook all this stuff and just enjoy the massage, but it was not a relaxing experience. My masseuse seemed nice but spent most of the time on my back when I specifically asked her to focus on my legs. I realize how whiny and privileged this sounds, but it was so disappointing and felt like a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and just go to Yolo instead.
