This place is legit. Clean and professional Thai massage. I've been here twice and both ladies knew exactly what they were doing with just the right amount of pressure. I left so relaxed and high- like walking on clouds. Great neighborhood spot, call ahead. They get busy last minute. If you pay cash you get a bit of a discount. I'll definitely go back.

Swan Day Spa is great. I suggest the Thai Swedish combo. There's a discount when you pay cash. There's tea and water if you want. It's clean and they are friendly. Bob & Linda are both phenomenal massage therapists. Both are really good about getting knots out and you'll feel great for weeks to come after a massage. Highly Recommend!!!

Massage therapists that care and really affordable prices! They prefer cash, so try to bring that if you can. Private parking is only three spots, so don't depend on it. But it is really nice if you luck out and it's not occupied. The Swedish massage was perfect. The therapist asked for my pressure preference level and told me to please let her know at any point if I needed her to go softer or harder. She also asked if there was anywhere in particular I was sore, and actually took that into account during her service and focused more on those areas. I know that seems like it should be a given at a massage place, but a lot of the similarly priced places don't put as much effort into that. They also did the scalp and face massage, which are always my favorite parts. I felt her get out so many knots in my body in general, including a lot that I didn't even know were there. Also, although I didn't get the 100% Thai or half and half Thai option, she still did a bit of the cool stretching movements towards the end. It really helps transition you from relaxed and on the bed mode, into ready to leave mode. Instead of that slightly dazed feeling where you wish you could just stay resting on the bed. I went in with a sad mood, but I came out feeling happy and refreshed and energized somehow. And they even have a punch card! I'll be back. See the pictures for some things to expect when you come, including the tip guide they post at the front desk

Thanks to Yelpers, I was able to find this place! I was able to make an appointment on the same day. For the price, this place is definitely worth it. I got the deep tissue with aromatherapy oil. They have a lot of different scents that you can choose from. I chose tea tree. I arrived a little earlier and they were able to accommodate me. There's only three spots in their parking lot so I would recommend going a little earlier to find parking on the street, if needed. I was taken to an individual room. My masseuse was Mint. I'm surprised at how thorough she was overall. She really knew what she was doing, getting all the pressure points throughout the body. I let her know I was feeling stressed and needed to relieve the knots in my neck and shoulder. She didn't speak English, but seems like she understood.. lol . Anyways, wish she was able to get more knots on my shoulder but I did feel relaxed and my body felt relaxed! I would def recommend this spot and come back! Plus they give you a stamp card. If you go 10x, you can get a free hour massage (of your choice) for your 11th time!

Easy to miss when you're driving by.

My husband loved it. The massages are a little rough, so I asked for them to be a little softer. But, I'm kinda a baby with massages, like I don't book deep tissue type of massages. The masseuse went on top of my back on all fours lol. I started laughing when she did that, she started to giggle too. I told my husband she was so petite I didn't mind it. The spa areas were very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I didn't bring a bathing suit, so I couldn't use the co-ed area which looked so peaceful and relaxing. The spa offered shorts for men, so my husband utilized the co-ed hot tubs. He said he was the only person in the co-ed area and men's side. In the women's area, where they had the hit tubs, women are nude. So, it's a little stressful at first because I never been to a spa where people are nude. But, I eventually got comfortable and enjoyed the hot tubs. The women's are that had the clay room, salt room, and sauna required robes. That area was so relaxing. The clay area was my favorite.

You could tell she was very thoughtful with her touch and technique throughout the entire session. She was quiet, professional, and gave the perfect amount of pressure during both the massage and scrub, especially on the pressure points. Everything flowed so smoothly and felt incredibly relaxing. My 1.5 hour massage honestly felt like 2 hours in the best way possible because I was so relaxed and immersed in the experience. My skin felt incredibly soft and rejuvenated afterward. I especially loved the hot honey milk she poured and massaged into my body. It felt absolutely amazing and made the experience feel extra luxurious and calming. Although Hugh Spa is on the smaller side, it still has enough amenities to enjoy and unwind. The only thing I wish they had was an ice bath, but they do have an ice room which definitely helps. Today i spent about $300 on a gold slimming wrap package and it was 100% not worth it. Same experience as last time and i had high hopes it was a one off. Nope. When I arrived i asked that the person checking me in if they could please focus on my belly and thighs bc im losing weight and need the attention there. I am by no means overweight but I try to keep my skin looking good. The desk folks acknowledged that request. My scrub was ok and took less than 30 minutes. That should have left about 1.5 hours for the wrap, mask and massage. That part was slightly shorter at an hour and 20mins but what didn't happen is what I requested-she primarily focused on my back even when i asked her directly to please work on my legs and belly. I got a 3 minute per leg/glute oil massage and a quick two minute belly massage. Im so upset that my reasonable request ignored. Twice. And i paid a lot of hard earned money on top of it. Id be better off at a local massage place for a quarter of the cost. The wrap was OK but when i first started getting them about a decade ago, they were way better in terms of length of time you were cocooned in the warm blankets with the solution and they used to wrap your belly and thoroughly massage your limbs and belly afterward to ensure you got the full diuretic effect and sign tightening. She worked 80% on my back. All the while you can hear every customer being checked in less than 20 feet away and when they walked me to the room in my robe and nothing else there was a guy sitting on the entry couch talking on the phone. Say what?! So no peace or quiet, no decency or privacy at a women's spa, no attention to customer satisfaction or requests and no respect for long term customers or our money. WTH. Im pretty upset and i feel ripped off if im honest.

After a very thorough scrub and wash, you are massaged, and you also have your hair washed, and they do an anti-aging face mask. It was about $220, which is a little more expensive than I remember, but that's about an hour and forty-five minutes of service. And they were $30 foot a simple soak. You learned to whisper, shower before dipping, and to put up long hair while getting to know about Korean bathing culture. It was a ritual experience. No more mugwort, scrubbing stools, or mats, or restaurant. Now it's $60 to go to a place with seemingly Caucasian women's silhouettes on all the literature, Costco granola bars and plastic wrapped fruit. There was obviously a strategy in changing the business model to cater to rich white ladies. I can't be mad at them for wanting to make a buck. The very friendly girl at the Moxy front desk recommended Silver Lake Spa and casually dropped the words "mid-week special." $55 for one hour. Sign. Me. Up. No questions asked. Just one boundary: if I get poked, I'm out. The place is modest and unassuming. JJ was my therapist. Between my moaning, grunting, and aggressively pointing at my neck and shoulders (note to self: don't lift weights the day before a six-hour flight), we agreed on a relaxing Thai/Swedish combo. Friends... JJ knew exactly what she was doing. She found knots in my skull. My actual skull. Then proceeded to perform some kind of kung-fu Thai magic where I felt what used to be my brain turn back into mush--in the best way. She moved to my shoulders and back, mixing deep Thai stretches with light kneading, locating muscle kinks like five-carat diamonds and polishing them until they no longer existed. At one point I'm fairly certain I was purring. HR would not approve. Then came the oil and relaxation portion. Pure bliss. She was gentle, focused, and so intentional that I may or may not have teared up slightly. One hour was simply not enough. I could've moved in. If you live in LA--go see JJ.
