I was excited to try this place under the new management because it looks much nicer than before. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I specifically paid for a Swedish massage because I prefer a gentler massage with more oil and less deep pressure. Before the massage started, the therapist suggested I switch to a combination massage because she said I was very tense. I initially declined, but trusted her recommendation and agreed. One of the reasons I normally avoid combination massages is because I don't like therapists standing on my back. During the massage, she put her full weight on my lower back. It was so painful that I immediately told her it hurt and asked her to be gentler. While the rest of the massage was okay, I was already in pain and couldn't relax. I came in to unwind--not because I had any back pain or injury. On my way home, my lower back was throbbing. The next morning, I could barely get out of bed. I still went to work, but the pain was severe. It's now been about two weeks, and my lower back is still hurting. I've had many massages over the years and have never experienced anything like this. I was also concerned about the cleanliness. They no longer use the disposable face cradle covers they used to provide, and the I had my face on had an unpleasant odor. I can't say whether the linens were changed, but based on what I experienced, I left feeling uncomfortable about the cleanliness. Overall, this was not a relaxing experience. Instead, I left with an injury that I'm still dealing with. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this place based on my experience. read more

This is my favorite massage spot in Los Angeles and I truly have tried so many!! I came here a year or so ago because of the reviews and it was wonderful. The staff is so nice, space is clean, lights are dim and relaxing and every masseuse man or woman is actually good. Not like most places where you have to get lucky. My fav masseuse Nina is sadly no longer there - but I have been happy with who I've seen since and my husband has too. Hidy is very professional and seemed to know that my shoulders were the problematic areas to address without me even bringing it up. What a FANTASTIC way to relax and treat yourself!! I brought my boyfriend here as a Valentine's day surprise for a couple's combo massage with hot oil and hot stones added. The couple's room was actually two rooms with the center divider pulled back; it was very spacious. We saw Pam and Sean, who were so professional and kind. Pam worked out knots all over my body, including my forearms and hands (which felt incredible). She employed both hard, targeted pressure and long, gliding strokes that released so much tension. Sean was strong yet conscientious of my boyfriend and made sure throughout the massage that his pressure was feeling good. They included free aromatherapy, which I thought was so kind (I had been debating on getting hot stones or aromatherapy as an add-on!). Pam even realized she'd overcharged me for the couples massage, so she gave me a cash refund. To me, that type of honesty really speaks to the character of a business. Jenny is good at what she does. I have been dealing with some back pain so I came in twice in a couple weeks time. Both times I tipped 20% for my service, standard. I received a text tonight at 7pm stating they have their own tipping policy and you must tip at least 32% per service and basically guilted me into paying the difference. If you want people to pay a specific price....make that your price? Don't send weird guilty text messages? So bizarre. Kind of a bummer because I liked this place and got past the fact that it's a bit dingy and definitely not peak cleanliness, but Jenny was good. Oh, I just realized they emailed me five minutes before they texted me, the same guilt trip. When I paid the second time (via venmo) they requested that I not write that it was for a service? Jennie worked magic on my tense muscles and knots. She pays attention to your specific body and needs, nothing is perfunctory. I can tolerate a lot of pain, and while she brought the strength that I asked for, she also consistently checked in to make sure I was okay, and lowered the pressure when I asked her to. Have always preferred Thai Massage Time for foot spa, but this visit was especially disappointing. My husband and I booked the 90-minute combo massage expecting the usual combination of stretching and regular massage for relaxation and muscle relief. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like a true combo massage and lacked the stretching and pressure work we were expecting. I did ask for additional pressure during my session, but it still wasn't enough. It may have been because our appointment was later in the evening, but the overall experience just wasn't as satisfying or effective as past visits. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET HURT. SERIOUSLY. My husband and I went here to get some relief from back and neck pain. We both felt that our respective massage therapists were going to break our necks or our backs. They pushed down very hard on our shoulders while we were face down, with no warning and no support for our necks, and it felt like my head was going to snap off. I had to tense my entire body to prevent her from doing exactly that: Not relaxing. They also pushed down very hard on our lower backs, causing very sudden and forceful compression of our vertebrae, which was quite painful. Finally, they performed very sudden "stretching" that required twisting of our torsos *with no warning,* which is just asking for injury. The employees were nice but they clearly have inadequate training and no knowledge of how to prevent injury. Their idea of "deep tissue" is just to do everything they normally do for a Thai massage except harder and faster, apparently. If you're just looking for a light massage with aromatherapy or something, maybe this place would be fine but I would steer clear. read more
