There is a language barrier but I don't take that as a negative at all? Just be clear and kind and understanding people! Since it was my first time here, I decided to get the 1/2 hour massage where you get your feet soaked in a tub of water (plastic bag in the tub). While soaking, your head and arms get a massage. After the feet soak, your feet get massaged (loved it) then your legs. For $15, I was in total bliss. The shop looks clean. The chair I sat in was comfortable and looked clean. There were several rooms where you can get a massage in case you don't feel like sitting in a room with other people getting a chair massage. They were pretty busy for a Friday evening, but they took me in right away. Plenty of free parking in the back of a shared lot, but there's also street parking available. I've gotten full body massages before, but this was the first that focused so much on the rear end. I guess if that's a sore area for you, you've come to the right place. My friend had the same experience with her masseuse. Upon leaving, we each paid with card ($40 plus $1 transaction fee). My friend was short on cash so we could only each give a $5 tip, normally I would have given $10. The reaction given by the masseuses was a bit surprising, as their disappointment was very evident. I understand that they work hard, but we literally had no extra cash to give. That said, don't shame me because of it, as that just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. What was supposed to be a relaxing experience was soured by this lack of business etiquette. The guy even pulled out a sign that said we should tip 20%. I wonder if this problem could be solved if they just asked you if you'd like to tip on the card before they ring you up? Also, if you come, don't request the man who rings you up. He's the one who answers all the calls so he will literally stop your massage several times to pick up the phone or charge customers. One time I went with my mom and they were short of female therapists. He assumed I would be okay about it as well and I said no. Today, I called again to book an 8pm appointment and they said ok. When we got there, they're short of female therapists again. I've been here a few times, and usually have the foot massage which I've enjoyed and tipped for. During my last visit I decided to have the full body massage. The lady giving me the massage was not really helping me relax. It was a terrible experience. She kept leaving me to answer the phone. I believe she was one of the main managers, and I feel like they were under staffed that night and she decided to massage me, but I could really tell she wasn't trained for it.
